SHOULTS
Lester F. Shoults, 71, Linn, died June 18, 2000, at his home.
He was born June 9, 1929, in Elston, a son of Izear N. and Cynthia Ann Johnson Shoults. He was married June 17, 1948, in Jefferson City, to Marjorie Todd, who died May 10, 1999.
He attended Jefferson City public schools and served with the Missouri National Guard. He was employed by Reno Construction Co.; worked for M & M Stave Mill; and owned and operated Shoults Salvage Co., Linn, until his retirement.
He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include: five sons, Ronnie Lee Shoults, Lester E. Shoults, Billy J. Shoults, Gary Wayne Shoults and Francis Leroy Shoults, all of Linn; two daughters, Sharon Huckabee, Bland, and Kathy A. Carver, Holts Summit; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Buescher Memorial Home. The Rev. Don King will officiate. Burial will be in Link Cemetery, Wainwright.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
BOLTON
Roy Darwin Bolton, 75, Barnett, died June 17, 2000, at Lake Regional Health Center, Osage Beach.
He was born May 20, 1925, in Malvern, Iowa, a son of Will and Margaret Polston Bolton. He was married July 23, 1960, to Donnabelle Petersen, who survives at the home.
He was a machine operator for the Morgan County and Barnett Special Road Districts.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Paula Cloud, Folsom, Calif., and Janet Kaiser, Hayden, Idaho; one sister, Margaret Abbott, Nebraska City, Neb.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was cremated. Inurnment will be in Hopewell Cemetery, near Barnett.
Arrangements are under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Homes, Versailles.
HARRIS
Mary Frances Harris, 76, Fulton, died June 19, 2000, at her home.
She was born Jan. 7, 1924, in Callaway County, a daughter of Ezra and Margaret Schmidt Hughes. She was married July 15, 1944, in Fulton, to Theodore "Ted" Harris, who survives at the home.
She worked at Fulton State Hospital as ward secretary for the music therapy department. A member of First Baptist Church, she served as head of the social committee. She was also a member of General Federation of Women's Club, Fulton Garden Club, College Board of Associates, Golden Agers at Southside Baptist Church, Gold Leaf Club, the AARP and ARMS.
Other survivors include: one son, James Randy Harris, Fulton; three sisters, Stella Mae Storms, Shawnee Mission, Kan., Irene Turpin, Sun City, Ariz., and Minnie Jane Rice, Fulton; and one brother, James L. Hughes.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. Ron Baker, Bruce Williamson and the Rev. Raymond McCallister will officiate. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to Southside Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
LEVEN
Alfred Lee Leven, 71, Meta, died June 19, 2000, at his home.
He was born Nov. 3, 1928, in Meta, a son of Leo and Margaret Bax Leven. He was married Oct. 9, 1954, in Argyle, to Elvira Groene, who survives at the home.
He was a 1947 graduate of Meta High School and an Army veteran of the Korean War. He owned and operated Leven Barber Shop, Meta, since 1959. He also operated a shop in Freeburg since 1973.
He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Meta.
Other survivors include one son, Darrell Leven, Lee's Summit, and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Cecilia Catholic Church. The Rev. John Schutty will officiate. Burial will be in St. Cecilia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to St. Cecilia Catholic Church.

PRICE
Janice L. Price, 69, Eldon, died June 18, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born Aug. 15, 1930, in Hutchinson, Kan., a daughter of Cline H. and Pearl Stuttler Southern. She was married Jan. 15, 1955, in Larned, Kan., to Kenneth Price, who died Nov. 30, 1972.
She graduated from high school in Larned, did her nurse's training in Hutchinson, and was a registered nurse. She worked at Epworth Hospital and Southwest Medical Center, Liberal, Kan., and Fort Supply Hospital and nursing homes in Mokane and Eldon until her retirement in 1994.
A past resident of Tyrone, Okla., she moved to Missouri in 1989. She was a member of Ninth Street Christian Church, Eldon.
Survivors include: three sons, Ryan Price, Osage Beach, Kelly Price, Laverne, Okla., and Koby Price, Earlsville, Ill.; three daughters, Sheila Cain, Tyrone, Kenda Ketron, Gate, Okla., and Jana King, Eldon; one brother, Mike LeSage, Seattle; five sisters, Betty Walton, Beech, Fla., Nancy Borup, Lakewood, Colo., Kay Rush, Paola, Kan., Helen Cummings, Houston, Texas , and Cindy Renner, Wichita, Kan.; and 18 grandchildren.
One son, Eric Price, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Tyrone Baptist Church, Tyrone. The Rev. Tim Drake will officiate. Burial will be in Tyrone Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Mortuary, Liberal.
SAPPINGTON
Mark Crismon "Cris" Sappington, 54, Jefferson City, died June 19, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born April 15, 1946, in Jefferson City, a son of Robert S. and Georgena Crismon Sappington. His mother survives in Jefferson City. He was married April 22, 1967, in Jefferson City, to Nancy Gaines, who survives at the home.
He was a 1964 graduate of Jefferson City High School and attended Lincoln University. He served in the Missouri Air National Guard for six years.
He worked for MFA Insurance as an adjuster and district manager. He also worked for KJMO radio as an announcer, and as a manager for Plaza Video. He also owned and operated Class Reunion Music Machine.
He was a lifelong musician and drummer. He was a member of the First Methodist Church.
Other survivors include: two sons, Eric Gaines Sappington, Oceanside, Ore., and Adam Crismon Sappington, Portland, Ore.; and one brother, Robert Spencer Sappington II, Alpharetta, Ga.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church, Jefferson City. The Rev. Rudolph W. Beard will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:30-2 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the Heart of Missouri Humane Society.

WEST
DeLin David West, 34, Jefferson City, died June 19, 2000, at her home.
She was born Jan. 11, 1966, in Rome, Ga., a daughter of B. Banks and Linda Atlee David. Her mother survives in Jefferson City. She was married April 17, 1993, in St. Louis, to Dr. Douglas West, who survives at the home.
A 1984 graduate of Jefferson City High School, she attended Grinnell College, Grinnell, Iowa, and received a bachelor's degree in biology from Washington University, St. Louis, in 1988. She was employed as a research biologist with Monsanto Inc., St. Louis, before returning to Jefferson City.
She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church.
Other survivors include: two sons, Reece Banks West and Gage Ramsey West, both of the home; and one sister, Diana LaBelle Tannehill, Lee's Summit.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Grace Episcopal Church. The Rev. Harvel Sanders will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Freeman Mortuary.
Memorials are suggested to the Family Mental Health Center or Grace Episcopal Church.
HILL
Taleta B. Hill, 85, Hermann, formerly of Chamois, died June 19, 2000, at Frene Valley Geriatric and Rehabilitation Center, Hermann.
She was born Oct. 27, 1914, in Chamois, a daughter of William F. and Emma Trachsel Heitkemper. She was married Oct. 20, 1945, to Alvie R. Hill, who died March 15, 1993.
A resident of Chamois for most of her life, she was a homemaker. She also worked in a factory.
Survivors include: two daughters, Connie S. Semler, Friend, Neb., and Bonnie L. Britton, Northglenn, Colo.; one sister, Viola E. Whithaus, Morrison; and five grandchildren.
One granddaughter preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John United Church of Christ, Chamois. The Rev. Deborah Pope will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Chamois.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Meyer-Hilke-Millard Funeral Home, Chamois.
Memorials are suggested to St. John United Church of Christ or the Alzheimer's Foundation.
BAUCOM
Olean M. Baucom, 82, Fullerton, Calif., formerly of Eldon, died June 15, 2000, in Fullerton.
She was born June 15, 1918, in Eldon, a daughter of William and Amelia Lloyd Cahill. She was married Oct. 18, 1935, in Long Beach, Calif., to Richard Earl Baucom, who died Feb. 1, 1984.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Eldon, and attended Evangelical Free Church, Fullerton.
Survivors include one daughter, Suzanne Aplin, Fullerton, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Randall Bunch will officiate. Burial will be in Eldon City Cemetery, Eldon.
Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Friday.
Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church, Eldon.
