CRANE
Iva Elizabeth Crane, 92, Ashland, died July 13, 2000, at Boone Retirement Center, Columbia.
She was born April 12, 1908, in Boone County, a daughter of Warren and Julia Cunningham Dunn. She was married Aug. 26, 1927, to John Crane, who preceded her in death.
A homemaker, she was a member of Nashville Baptist Church.
Survivors include: four sons, Earl Crane, Joe Paul Crane and Tom Crane, all of Columbia, and Mel Crane, Ashland; two daughters, Kathryne Lee and Ruby Dean Marsden, both of Columbia; 24 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
One son, Charles Burdette Crane and two daughters, Margaret Griffin and Bessie Frances, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Nashville Baptist Church. The Rev. Kevin Collins and the Rev. Don Snyder will officiate. Burial will be in Nashville Cemetery, Columbia.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. today at Robinson Funeral Home, Ashland.
Memorial are suggested to Nashville Cemetery.
NASH
John T. "J. T." Nash, 34, Versailles, died July 13, 2000, at his home.
He was born Aug. 20, 1965, in Sedalia, a son of Johnny W. and Helen D. McGhee Nash. He was married July 20, 1984, in Versailles, to Helen Louise Clines, who survives at the home.
He attended school in Stover and was employed as a carpet installer with Glenn Bybee. He attended the Family Worship Center, Versailles.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Jennifer Nash and Heather Nash, both of the home; one brother, J. W. Nash, Stover; four sisters, Jeanne Wornell, Drexel, Betty Daulton, Versailles, Sandy Nash and Judy McGinnis, both of Gravois Mills; and two half-brothers, Charlie Putman, Gravois Mills, and Barry Holman, Texas .
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at the West Lawn Addition of the Versailles Cemetery. The Rev. Danny Owsley will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home.
BUSCHMANN
Virginia M. Buschmann, 83, Vienna, died July 15, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born Jan. 25, 1917, in St. Louis, a daughter of John and Onnie Buckingham Wessels. She was married Nov. 11, 1939, in Vienna, to Charles Buschmann, who died Nov. 21, 1999.
She was a homemaker and a member of Visitation Catholic Church, Vienna.
Survivors include: two sons, Ronald Buschmann, Katy, Texas , and Dale Buschmann, Jefferson City; one daughter, Karen Ferkol, Gerald; one brother, Robert Wessels, Caseyville, Ill.; one sister, Marian Gruenig, Gig Harbor, Wash.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Visitation Catholic Church. The Rev. John Schmitz will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Masses or Visitation Catholic Church, School or Cemetery Care Fund.
GLADBACH
Geneive Agnes Gladbach, 86, Mendon, died July 14, 2000, at Pershing Memorial Hospital, Brookfield.
She was born Oct. 1, 1913, in Mendon, a daughter of Frank and Lucy Reigelsberger Ewalb. She was married May 25, 1937, in Indian Grove, to John Eugene, who preceded her in death.
She attended Northeast Missouri State Teachers College, Kirksville, and taught school at South New Hall School. She was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church, Indian Grove, and the Altar Society.
Survivors include: seven sons, William Leo Gladbach, Dallas, James Howard Gladbach, Independence, Denis Vincent Gladbach, Jefferson City, Robert Ray Gladbach, Rothville, and Thomas Eugene Gladbach, Leonard Joseph Gladbach and Lawrence "Shorty" Gladbach, all of Mendon; two daughters, Mary Virginia Baker, Quincy, Ill., and Margaret Helen Bates, Mendon; 32 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
One stepgrandchild, Susan Bates, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Raphael's Catholic Church.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monday at McCurry-Berry Funeral Home, Brunswick, with a prayer service at 8 p.m.
HOLMES
Virginia McAlister Holmes, 90, Holts Summit, died July 14, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born Dec. 23, 1909, in Way, Miss., a daughter of Foster B. and Virginia Galceran McAlister. She was married Nov. 25, 1932, in Lake Charles, La., to Alester Garden Holmes, who died Aug. 9, 1981.
She was a graduate of Lake Charles High School and attended the University of Kentucky, where she was in the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She was a homemaker and a member of the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection in Starkville, Miss.
She was a charter member of the University Women's Club at Mississippi State University and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She volunteered for the Oktibbeha County Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include: two daughters, Virginia Hendley, Holts Summit, and Anne Osteen, Picayune, Miss.; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection. The Rev. David H. Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Houser-Millard Funeral Home.
KINGERY
Dorothy Kingery, 55, Eldon, died July 14, 2000, in Jefferson City.
She was born April 25, 1945, in Antonia, a daughter of Irvin and Virginia Johnston Kraus. Her mother survives in Imperial. She was married Aug. 14, 1997, in Eldon, to Ron Kingery, who survives at the home.
A member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ, Imperial, she was owner and operator of the Northside Inn near Rocky Mount.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Nicole Adams-Ramirez, Rocky Mount; one stepdaughter, Andrea Stafford, Eldon; one stepson, Aaron Plowman, Rocky Mount; three sisters, Marilyn Stockwell, Imperial, Betty Gruenewald, Arnold, and Elaine Alexander, St. Louis; two brothers, Garry Kraus, Barnhart, and Edward Kraus, Astonia; one granddaughter and one stepgrandson.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Luke's United Church of Christ. The Rev. Bob Hicks will officiate. Burial will be in Burgess Cemetery, Imperial.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon, and from 4-8 p.m. Monday at New Kutis South Country Chapel Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., St. Louis.
Memorials are suggested to St. Luke's United Church of Christ.
NASH
Helen L. Nash, 84, Sunrise Beach, died July 15, 2000, at Laurie Care Center, Laurie.
She was born March 26, 1916, in Topeka, Kan. She was married July 15, 1961, to Lauren L. Nash, who survives at the home.
A retired underwriter for Marsh McLennon Insurance Co. in Topeka, she was a member of Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church, Laurie.
She was a past president of the American Business Women's Association Topeka Chapter and the Topeka Ladies Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of the Camden County Library board of trustees and the Hurricane Deck Lions Club.
Other survivors include: two sons, Larry Reeder, York, Maine; Thomas Reeder, Merriam, Kan.; two daughters, Susan Talcott, Berkeley, Calif., and Pamela Cairns, Burke, Va.; one stepson, Ted Nash, Torrance, Calif.; one sister, Betty Brownell, Lincoln, Neb.; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Lacy, and one stepdaughter, Susan Nash.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church. The Rev. James Lawley will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to the Hurricane Deck Lions Club.
Arrangements are under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie.
CARTER
Daryl W. Carter, 56, Ashland, died July 15, 2000, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.
He was born May 15, 1944, in Center, a son of Clinton L. and Mabel A. Jones Carter. He was married Nov. 26, 1977, in Vandalia, to Anita Mink, who survives at the home.
He worked in heating and air conditioning for 34 years in the Ashland and Columbia areas. He was member of Center Baptist Church, Center.
Other survivors include one daughter Nicki Carter, Ashland, and three sisters, Rita Piatt and Judy Evans, both of Center, and Peggy Pabst, Springfield.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Robinson Funeral Home, Ashland. Marvine Tolle will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Center.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
HOUGH
Donald Eugene "Joe" Hough, 63, Fulton, died July 15, 2000, at Callaway Community Hospital, Fulton.
He was born Nov. 26, 1936, in Lock Haven, Pa., a son of Nathan and Mildred Keller Hough. He was married Feb. 24, 1994, in Las Vegas, to Brinda Paulett Carter, who survives at the home.
He was a self-employed truck driver.
Other survivors include: one son, Joe Hough, Renovo, Pa.; four daughters, Anglia Wilson, Beech Creek, Pa., Terri Tripp, South Renovo, Pa., Leotta Curran, Lewisburg, Pa., and Jennifer Skaggs, Bridgeton; one sister, Betty Ivey, West Chester, Pa.; two half brothers, Mike Cantaneri and Anthony Cantaneri, both of Corning, N. Y.; four half sisters, Mary Goodman, Williamsport, Pa., Tresa Locke, Lock Haven, Jo Anne Sylvester, Corning, and Josephine Teays, state of Maryland; and eight grandchildren.
One son, Don Hough, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. Bert Yates will officiate.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials are suggested to the Rainbow House or the American Heart Association.
HUTSON
Larry Hutson, 60, Vienna, died July 15, 2000, in Cole County from accidental drowning.
He was born Feb. 20, 1940, in Vienna, a son of Ora and Bonnie Dambach Hutson. His mother survives in Vienna. He was married Oct. 17, 1959, in Dixon, to Marie Null, who survives at the home.
He was a member of Lambeth Assembly of God Church, Vienna. He was a carpenter and general laborer in construction work. He was employed as a warehouse worker at Florsheim Group Inc. Distribution Center.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Cynthia Taylor, Jefferson City, Sandra Rush, California, and Donnetta Iven, Vienna; two brothers, Bill Hutson, Vienna, and Edward Hutson, Jefferson City; one sister, Karen Henson, Dixon; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna. The Rev. Tom Dowler will officiate. Burial will be in Vienna Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today and from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday.
