YOUNGER

Mary F. Younger, 89, Overland Park, Kan., died July 30, 2000, at St. Joseph Hospital, Kansas City.

She was born May 30, 1911, in Ellis, Kan., a daughter of Jacob and Anna Schumacher Lang. She was married Oct. 17, 1932, to William S. Younger, who died Oct. 31, 1968.

She attended St. Mary's Parochial School, Ellis, Kan.

A homemaker and housekeeper, she was a member of Cure 'D' Ars Catholic Church, Leawood, Kan., Daughters of Isabella, Park, Kan., and Christian Mothers, Grainfield, Kan.

Survivors include: three sons, William Younger, Overland Park, Kan., Vern Younger, Columbus, Neb., and Gary Younger, Olathe, Kan.; two daughters, Paula Mitchell, Lee's Summit, and Elaine Kraft,  Jefferson City; three sisters, Sue Debes, Ness City, Kan., Lydia McMullen, Plainville, Kan., and Katie Engstrand, Ellis, Kan.; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in deathy by one son, Lawrence Younger, who died Aug. 1, 1999, and one grandson.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Park, Kan. The Rev. Mark Berland and the Rev. August Moeder will officiate. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Park, Kan.

Visitation will be from 5-7:30 p.m. today at Schmitt Funeral Home, Quinter, Kan., with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or to Masses.

IREY

James Allee Irey, 75, California, died Aug. 1, 2000, at Capital Health Care.

He was born Nov. 6, 1924, in Latham, a son of Reed and Florence Allee Irey. He was married June 14, 1947, to Mary Louise Bolinger, who survives at the home.

He was a 1943 graduate of Latham School and a veteran of World War II. He was employed at A.S.C.S., Pettigrew Store and Charley Stock. He was a school bus driver for Latham R-5 School District.

A farmer, he raised turkeys and feeder pigs. He was a member of Green Grove Baptist Church, Latham, and a 4-H leader.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Joyce Ann Zimmerman and Cheryl Denice Irey, both of California; one son, Alan Reed Irey, California; one sister, Mary Lee Bell, Kansas City; one brother, Dean Irey, Latham; four granddaughters and one step great-granddaughter.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Weber and Sons Funeral Home, California. Glenn Peters will officiate. Burial will be in Hickman Cemetery, Clarksburg.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday.

Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.

ELLINGSWORTH

Services were today for Chandler Day Ellingsworth, infant son of Michael T. and Angela Dianne Day Ellingsworth,  Jefferson City, who was stillborn July 29, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.

His parents survive at the home.

Other survivors include: two brothers, Canaan Ellingsworth and Caleb Ellingsworth, both of the home; paternal grandparents, Don and Faye Harvey, and Tom and Shirley Ellingsworth, all of Lebanon; and maternal grandparents, Carol Shoemaker,  Jefferson City, and Bill and Jeanetta Day, Russellville, Ark.

Services were at Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial was in Mount Rose Memorial Park, Lebanon.

FORCK

Anthony John "Tony" Forck, 74,  Jefferson City, died Aug. 2, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.

He was born May 14, 1926, in Folk, a son of Joseph E. and Margaret Veltrop Forck. He was married Sept. 6, 1947, in Wardsville, to Rosemary M. Schrimpf, who survives at the home.

He was employed as a shoe clerk at Burkels Shoe Store and American Shoe Store for 32 years until his retirement in 1988. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, the Holy Name Society and the Legion of Mary.

Other survivors include: three daughters, Susan Wisch,  Jefferson City, Joan Conrad, St. Charles, and Laura Peterson, St. Peters; two sons, Mike Forck,  Jefferson City, and James Forck, Peoria, Ill.; four sisters, Margaret Hood, Jane Pickert, Therese Markway and Yvonne Wittman, all of  Jefferson City; three brothers, Thomas Forck, St. Louis, Cyril Forck, Memphis, Tenn., and Joe Forck,  Jefferson City; 13 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Conception Building Fund, Masses or to a charity of the donor's choice.

MAIER

Pauline Maier, 64,  Jefferson City, died July 31, 2000, at Boone County Hospital, Columbia.

Arrangements are incomplete at Weber and Sons Funeral Home, Russellville.

McCAIG

Harold Chester McCaig, 85, California, died July 31, 2000, at Capital Health Care.

Arrangements are incomplete at Weber and Sons Funeral Home, California.

GOLDSBERRY

Keith Goldsberry, 67, Linn Creek, died Aug. 1, 2000, at Lake Regional Health Center, Osage Beach.

He was born May 12, 1933, in Linn Creek, a son of Albert L. and Ila Irene Stamper Goldsberry. He was married Aug. 29, 1976, to Verla Lela Tanner Smith, who survives at the home.

He worked as a restaurant cook and attended Linn Creek Baptist Church. He was a member of the Linn Creek VFW and lived in Camden County for most of his life.

Other survivors include: one son, Victor Dale Goldsberry, Linn Creek; two daughters, Kathy Lynn King and Stephanie Sue Lock, both of Fountain, Fla.; three brothers, James Goldsberry, Climax Springs, and Kenneth Goldsberry and Wilbert Goldsberry, both of Linn Creek; two sisters, Bonnie Hollis, Sunrise Beach, and Lucille Sisto, Camdenton; and nine grandchildren.

One grandson, Keith Lorn Goldsberry, preceded him in death.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Linn Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Rick Jennings will officiate. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton.

JEFFRIES

Lillie M. Jeffries, 86, Montreal, died Aug. 1, 2000, at Ozark Care Center, Osage Beach.

She was born Nov. 8, 1913, in Montreal, a daughter of Robert T. and Eliza Annabell DeGraffenreid Fredrick. She was married Jan. 19, 1935, in Miller County, to Oscar Lee Jeffries, who died Dec. 12, 1973.

She was a member of Buffalo Prairie Baptist Church, Montreal.

Survivors include: four sons, Wayne Jeffries and Russell Jeffries, both of Montreal, Dean Jeffries, Kansas City, and Gray Jeffries, Des Moines, Iowa; one daughter, Clara Bowling, Montreal; one brother, Bob Fredrick, Montreal; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

One daughter, Joyce Hubbard, preceded her in death.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Buffalo Prairie Baptist Church. The Rev. Don Young will officiate.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.

KLICK

Goldie Edna Klick, 90, Fulton, died July 31, 2000, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.

She was born Jan. 28, 1910, in Steedman, a daughter of Charles K. and Sadie Sarah Maytum Bridges. She was married Feb. 6, 1932, in Fulton, to Carson Christian Klick, who died Oct. 18, 1977.

She was a member of the Good Neighbor Club and worked as a nurse at Fulton State Hospital.

Survivors include one son, Connie Klick, Calwood, two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Mike Crowson will officiate. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens, Fulton.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Debo Funeral Homes, Fulton.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

CAREY

Nelson Olive Carey, 80, Centertown, died Aug. 2, 2000, at his home.

He was born July 12, 1920, in Linn, a son of William A. and Dora E. Moore Carey. He was married May 11, 1946, in  Jefferson City, to Grace Edith Smith, who died April 13, 1997.

He was an Army veteran of World War II. He owned and operated Carey Construction Company, Centertown, for many years.

Survivors include: four sons, Gary Carey, Moundsville, W.Va., Gene Carey, Monticello, Fla., David Carey, Centertown, and Roger Carey, California; four brothers, Augustus Carey, Melbray, Calif., Chester Carey, Warrensburg, Ervin Carey, Gladstone, and Clyde Carey, Washington ; and three grandchildren.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in California City Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.

CROSBY

Phyllis Lorraine Crosby, 59, Camdenton, died Aug. 1, 2000, at her home.

She was born July 31, 1941, in Woburn, Mass., a daughter of Phillip E. and Flora L. Phelan Geddes. She was married Oct. 12, 1957, to James Barry Crosby, who survives at the home.

She graduated from Burlington High School, Burlington, Mass.

She moved to Camdenton in 1991.

A homemaker, she was a member of the New Testament Christian Church, Linn Creek.

Other survivors include: two sons, James Barry Crosby, Jr., Dexter, and David Crosby, Bossier City, La.; two daughters, Patty Leonardson, Wolcott, N.Y., and Diane Collins, Linn Creek; five sisters, Louis McDade, Danvers, Mass., Ruth Bancroft, Reading, Mass., Marilyn Bosteel, Huston, N.H., Carolyn Doucette, Londonderry, N.H., and Jeanne Dilorenzo, Billerica, Mass.; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. Keith Graves will officiate. Burial will be in Laughlin Cemetery, near Camdenton.

Visitation will be from 6-8 today.
