MATZKE
Kathleen Rae Matzke, 14, Gravois Mills, died Aug. 27, 2000, at Lake Regional Health Center, Osage Beach.
She was born Jan. 5, 1986, in Geneva, Ill., a daughter of Timothy B. and Kati Rae Matzke. Her father and stepmother, Timothy and Kathy Matzke, survive in Montgomery, Ill. Her mother, Kati Scott, survives in Gravois Mills.
Other survivors include: two brothers, Bryan Scott and Christopher Matzke, both of Gravois Mills; one sister, Heather Matkze, Gravois Mills; two stepbrothers, Michael Mueller, Montgomery, and Christopher Mueller, Giant City, Ill.; one stepsister, Kelly Mueller, Chicago; paternal grandparents, James and Ida Matzke, Yakima, Wash., maternal grandfather Don Scott, Gravois Mills; and maternal great-grandmother Kathleen Ulery, Warrenville, Ill.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie. The Rev. James Lawley will officiate. Burial will be in Garber Memorial Estates Cemetery, Laurie.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to the Shriner's Hospital.
ORTIZ
Wilma M. Ortiz, 78, East Point, Ga., formerly of Osage County, died Aug. 26, 2000, at her home.
She was born Jan. 2, 1922, in Miller County, a daughter of Ruel and Lora Gilbert Langendoerfer. She was married Feb. 19, 1944, to Herman R. Ortiz, who died April 23, 1997.
A homemaker, she was a member of East Point Church of Christ.
Survivors include: one daughter, Karen Sue Ortiz, East Point; and two brothers, Ruel Langendoerfer, Camdenton, and Wiley Langendoerfer, Jefferson City.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn. The Rev. John Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Linn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
ROBERTSON
Emma L. Robertson, 99, Iberia, died Aug. 28, 2000, at Lake Regional Health Center, Osage Beach.
She was born Nov. 2, 1900, in Maries County, a daughter of John and Julia Stokes Burnham. She was married Aug. 20, 1922, in Maries County, to Aubrie M. Robertson, who died Nov. 18, 1980.
She owned and operated the Western Auto Store in Iberia for 30 years, and operated a livestock farm all of her life. She was a member of Iberia First Christian Church.
Survivors include: one son, Kleo Robertson, Iberia; one daughter, Lucille Steen, Iberia; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. Stan Way will officiate. Burial will be in Iberia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to Iberia First Christian Church.
WOOD
Marjorie E. Wood, 59, Eldon, died Aug. 29, 2000, at Lake Regional Health Center, Osage Beach.
She was born Feb. 10, 1941, in Topeka, Kan., a daughter of Marvin Sr. and Ora Gifford Light. Her parents survive in Leavenworth, Kan. She was married March 30, 1973, in Miami, Okla., to Clayton Wood, who survives at the home.
She graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1959 and worked as a nurse in the Kansas City area, moving to Eldon in 1981. She worked at Eldon Healthcare and Osage Beach Healthcare for the past 13 years.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Stephanie Lamm, Otterville, and Charlene Keesaman, Mount Vernon; one sister, Marilyn Vance, Leavenworth; one brother, Melvin Light, Kansas City, Kan.; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Don Leap will officiate. Burial will be in Tol Wood Cemetery, Eldon.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.

BROWN
Ethel Beatrice Brown 82, Fulton, died Aug. 29, 2000, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
She was born Dec. 10, 1917, in Ainsworth, Neb., a daughter of Charles E. and Maude E. Knowland Kidd. She was married Sept. 19, 1946, in Fulton, to Jesse Ray Brown, who died Aug. 19, 1995.
She had lived in Millersburg.
Survivors include one brother, Avery Kidd, Fulton.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Larry Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Millerscreek Cemetery, Millersburg.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. today.
HARRIS
Joseph Edward Harris Sr. died Aug. 29, 2000, in St. Petersburg, Fla.

KRECHEL
Linda L. Krechel, 50, Jefferson City, died Aug. 30, 2000, at the Friendship House of the Hospice of Jefferson City and Mid-Missouri.
She was born Sept. 16, 1949, in Piggot, Ark., a daughter of Wilburn C. and Margaret D. Fairbanks Conley.
A graduate of Jenning High School in St. Louis, she worked for the Missouri Department of Insurance in St. Louis until her retirement.
Survivors include: one son, Aaron Matthew Krechel, Jefferson City; one sister, Judith A. Wilson, Jefferson City; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. Thomas W. Nelson will officiate. Private graveside services will be in Rosebud Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday.
Memorials are suggested to the Friendship House of the Hospice of Jefferson City and Mid-Missouri.
MILLER
Marjorie L. Miller, 74, Poplar Bluff, died Aug. 30, 2000, at Three Rivers Healthcare-North, Poplar Bluff.
She was born April 28, 1926, in California, a daughter of Ralph and Esther Wiser Hall.
She was a bookkeeper until her retirement, and a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include: four brothers, Kent Hall, Stevens Point, Wis., Dr. C.J. Hall, Rapid City, S.D., Mark Hall, Anchorage, Alaska, and Morris Hall, Houston, Texas ; and three sisters, Ruth Crippen and Joanne Gray, both of Poplar Bluff, and Mollie Allen, St. Joseph.
Graveside services will be at 11:15 a.m. Saturday in Evangelical Reform Cemetery, California. John Martin and Morris Hall will officiate.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Weber and Sons Funeral Home, California.
MORRIS
Services were today for James Wesley Morris, 87, Linn Creek, who died Aug. 29, 2000, at his home.
He was born Sept. 23, 1912, in Montreal, Mo., a son of Charles W. and Hattie Jane Shivers Morris. He was married Aug. 10, 1934, to Pearl Walls, who died March 21, 1993.
An Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, he worked in Kansas City at the General Mills Company. He returned to Camden County in 1946 and worked as a gas station attendant in Linn Creek. He was a member of Linn Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one daughter, Mary Evelyn Keeney, Linn Creek; one sister, Donna Platter, Camdenton; two half-brothers, Willard Morris, Montreal, and Charles "Bud" Morris, Roach; three half-sisters, Estelle Galloway, Elizabeth Nicks and Grace Terry, all of Camdenton; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Chapel Pauline Morris, and by his stepmother, Ellen Morris.
Services were at today at Linn Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Rick Ginnings officiated. Burial was in Freedom Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton.
HURT
Floyd Edward Hurt, 64, Camdenton, died Aug. 30, 2000, at St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield.
