McMURTRY
Brownie L. "Pete" McMurtry, 73, Jefferson City, died Sept. 16, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born June 9, 1927, in Mexico, a son of Laymon and Margaret Smith McMurtry. He was married Feb. 11, 1949, in Jefferson City, to Rose Lane, who survives at the home.
He attended Mexico High School. He worked for the U.S. government in St. Louis and the Missouri State Division of Personnel, Jefferson City. He co-owned and operated Capitol Printing Company for 40 years until his retirement in 1991.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Jefferson City Host Lions Club.
Other survivors include one daughter, Doris Eggers, St. Ann, and one sister, Margaret Pew, O'Fallon.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home. The Rev. Rudolph W. Beard will officiate. Entombment will be in Riverview Cemetery Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 5-7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials are suggested to First Presbyterian Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
WEBSTER
Sylvia G. Webster, 89, Jefferson City, died Sept. 17, 2000, at Oak View Living Center.
She was born Jan. 29, 1911, in Topeka, Kan., a daughter of Arthur L. and Sylvia Galleta Herr Barnes. She was married in Kansas to Ray Webster, who preceded her in death.
She attended schools in Columbia and was a homemaker. She was a member of Jefferson City Ladies Auxiliary Aerie 2693 of Fraternal Order of Eagles.
She worked at Woolworth's Store, Kansas City, until her retirement.
Survivors include one nephew, Randall Barnes, Jefferson City.
Services, including a service by the Ladies Auxiliary Aerie 2693, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Buescher Memorial Home. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 9:30-10 a.m. Tuesday.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Jefferson City and Mid-Missouri.
SCHROER
Services were today for Amy Elizabeth Schroer, 15, Jefferson City, who died Sept. 16, 2000, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.
She was born April 19, 1985, in Crystal City, a daughter of Joseph W. and Christina Fay Russell Schroer, who survive at the home.
A sophomore at Jefferson City High School, she was a member of the J.C. Players. She was a member of the Union Hill Baptist Church, where she was active in the church youth group, was a referee for the Union Hill Instructional League and played on the church basketball team.
Survivors include: one sister, Suzanne Kay Schroer, of the home; one brother, Devon Joseph Schroer, of the home; maternal grandparents Fred and Linda Russell, Potosi; and paternal grandparents, Lester and Mary Ann Schroer, Potosi.
Services were at Union Hill Baptist Church. The Rev. David Higgs, The Rev. James Preston and the Rev. Bobby Albers officiated. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today in Red Bud Memorial Gardens, Potosi.
Memorials are suggested to the Sports Crusaders, in care of Union Hill Baptist Church.

Juanita M. Trippensee, 87, Jefferson City, died Sept. 14, 2000 at the Signature Pointe Nursing Home in Dallas, Texas .

Dorothy M. McCleary, 87, Lake Ozark, died Sept. 25, 2000, at Lake Regional Health Center.

BENZ
Marvin John Benz, 68, Jefferson City, died Sept. 25, 2000, at his home.
He was born Aug. 7, 1932, in Stony Hill, a son of Ernst G. and Minnie Sewing Benz. He was married June 23, 1956, in Drake, to Norma Kopp, who survives at the home.
He attended Stony Hill School and was an Army veteran. He was employed with Sheet Metal Workers Local 36, working at area businesses.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2693; American Legion Roscoe Enloe Post 5; the 40 & 8; and Sheet Metal Workers Local 36.
Other survivors include: one son, Larry J. Benz, Russellville; two daughters, Carol J. Koestner, Russellville, and Vicki J. Engelbrecht, Eugene; two brothers, Ralph Benz, Washington , and Paul Benz, Stony Hill; five sisters, Dorothy Gumper, Stony Hill, Florence Ham, Montgomery City, Helen Kurrelmeyer, Rosebud, Elsie Hahne, Jefferson City, and Hilda Brown, Fenton; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. John Hobratschk will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the Trinity Lutheran Church music department.

A. QUEZADA
Erica Corona Quezada, 9 months, and Anna Karen Corona Quezada, 3, both of California, died Sept. 16, 2000, from injuries sustained in a residential fire in California.
Erica was born Dec. 7, 1999, in Jefferson City, and Anna was born Sept. 13, 1997, in Jefferson City. They were daughters of Antonio and Hortencia Quezada Corona, who survive in California.
They attended Annunciation Catholic Church, California.
Other survivors include: one brother, Benigno Corona, California; and grandparents Benigno Corona, M. Loreto Martinez, Jose Guadalupe Quesada and Camerina Medina Lopez, all of Puruandiro Michoacan, Mexico.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Annunciation Catholic Church. Msgr. Francis Gillgannon will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9-10:30 a.m. Friday, at Bowlin-Cantries Funeral Home, California, with a prayer service at 9 a.m.

Annabelle Magana Corona, 11, and Mayra Magana Corona, 7, both of California, died Sept. 16, 2000, from injuries sustained in a residential fire in California.
Annabelle was born Sept. 25, 1988, in Jefferson City, and Mayra was born Feb. 15, 1993, in Jefferson City. They were daughters of Rafael and Blanca Corona Magana. Their mother survives in California. Their father died Sept. 16, 2000.
Annabelle attended California Middle School. Mayra attended California Elementary School.
Both girls attended Annunciation Catholic Church, California.
Other survivors include: one brother, Rafael Magana Corona, California; and grandparents Julio Magana, Ernestina Corona and M. Loreto Martinez Espinosa and Benigno Corona.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Annunciation Catholic Church. Msgr. Francis Gillgannon will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

MAGANA
Rafael Magana, 35, California, died Sept. 16, 2000, from injuries sustained in a residential fire in California.
He was born Oct. 11, 1965, in Puruandiro Michoacan, Mexico, a son of Julio and Ernestina Corona Magana, who survive in Puruandiro. He was married in 1986 in Mexico to Blanca Corona, who survives in California.
He worked at Cargill Inc. and attended Annunciation Catholic Church, California.
Other survivors include: one son, Rafael Magana Corona, California; six brothers, Miguel, California, and Abram, Jildardo, Audel, Gabriel and Jose Magana, all of Mexico; and four sisters, Aurora, Alexandra, Maria Luisa and Bernadina Magana, all of Mexico.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Annunciation Catholic Church. Msgr. Francis Gillgannon will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

LOWE
Ruth F. Lowe, 74, Jefferson City, died Sept. 17, 2000, at Oak View Living Center.
She was born Feb. 10, 1926, in Columbia, a daughter of Ray and Margie Ferris Farmer. She was married June 23, 1951, in St. Louis, to Hubert Joseph Lowe, who survives at the home.
A graduate of Jefferson City High School, she was a homemaker. She was employed by Stairwalt Electric Co., Ferguson, before moving to Los Angeles, where she worked at Jones Music Co.
She then purchased the Phonograph Music Store and became owner and operator of the Sweet and Lowe Music Store.
She invented and distributed Record Time Clocks.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Tebbetts, and Mokane Chapter 352, Order of the Eastern Star, Mokane.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Jane K. "Smokey" Viertel, Boonville, and one sister, Mary Ann Jones, Thousand Oaks, Calif.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Buescher Memorial Home. The Rev. Bruce Bernard will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Tebbetts.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
