REED
Patsy J. Reed, 66, Jefferson City, died Oct. 1, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born June 21, 1934, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Jess E. and Flossie Fay Lairmore Smith. She was married Oct. 19, 1949, to Herbert Gardner, who preceded her in death. She was married July 17, 1954, to Sherill Dean Reed, who died Dec. 28, 1978.
A lifelong resident of Jefferson City, she attended Jefferson City schools. She worked with Mattingly's Department Store for several years. She owned and operated the Ken-Lee Restaurant for several years prior to working for Wal-Mart until her retirement.
She was a member of First Assembly of God; the auxiliary of American Legion Roscoe Enloe Post 5; the auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie 2693; and the American Association of Retired Persons.
Other survivors include: four sons, Herbert "Butch" Gardner, Don Reed and Mike Reed, all of Jefferson City, and Rick Gardner, Mokane; one daughter, Rhonda Reed Loveall, Brazito; four sisters, Shirley Hodges, New Bloomfield, Joyce Loveall, Brazito, Harriett Bryan, Henley, and Mary Clarkston, Jefferson City; one brother, Paul Smith, Brazito; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
One son, Larry Dean Gardner, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. Lowell Perkins will officiate. Burial will be in Lane Cemetery near Linn.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today.

DAWSON
Margo Nash Dawson, 56, Sedalia, formerly of Gravois Mills, died Sept. 30, 2000, at her home.
She was born March 15, 1944, near Gravois Mills, a daughter of Henry G. and Violet Merle Fletcher Nash.
She co-owned and operated Nash's Hickory Pit Barbecue in Gravois Mills.
Survivors include: one son, John "Trey" Dawson III, Sedalia; one daughter, Jackie Michelle Dawson, Sedalia; one brother, Charles Dennis Nash, Buffalo; two sisters, Debbie Winquist, Goddard, Kan., and Robin Carroll, Terre Haute, Ind.; and two grandchildren.
One son, Richard Alan Dawson, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Danny Owsley will officiate.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.
LIBBERT
Andrew F. "Pat" Libbert, 79, Eugene, died Oct. 3, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 8, 1921, in St. Thomas, a son of Peter T. and Theresia M. Evers Libbert. He was married June 12, 1946, in Folk, to Hilda M. Bax, who survives at the home.
He was maintenance director for the Cole R-5 School, Eugene, from 1972 to 1995. He worked for the Missouri Farm Bureau from 1964 to 1969 and with Rite-Way Poultry from 1954 to 1964.
He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, Mary's Home, Eldon VFW Post 2442 and American Legion Post 5.
Other survivors include: four sons, Dennis L. Libbert and Gary W. Libbert, both of Jefferson City, Darrell G. Libbert, Brazito, and Jim D. Libbert, Eugene; three daughters, Laverne E. Robinson, Loose Creek, and Patty S. Hart and Lisa A. Morris, both of Eugene; three sisters, Christine Wekenborg, Jefferson City, Marie Rodemann, Wardsville, and Monica Luebbering, Marshall; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church. The Rev. Clarence Wiederholt will officiate. Burial will be in Our Lady of the Snows Parish Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Our Lady of the Snows Building Fund.
PLASSMEYER
Paul Herman Plassmeyer, 88, Westphalia, died Oct. 2, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born March 6, 1912, in Osage County, a son of Martin S. and Anna Catherine Heislen Plassmeyer. He was married June 10, 1935, in Koeltztown, to Monica Melies, who died Nov. 10, 1974. He was married June 13, 1993, in Koeltztown, to Agnes Cornelia Veltrop, who survives at the home.
He attended high school at St. Joseph School, Westphalia, and was a self-employed farmer in Osage County. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus, Council 1171, both in Westphalia.
He was past president of the Westphalia Lions Club and a founding member of the Osage County Livestock Producers Association. He was on the board of directors of Fatima R-3 School and the Bank of Freeburg.
Other survivors include: two sons, Martin Lloyd Plassmeyer, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Norbert B. Plassmeyer, Westphalia; one stepdaughter, Mary Ann Klebba, Westphalia; three stepsons, John M. Crede, Carthage, William A. Crede, Koeltztown, and Paul L. Crede, Westphalia; one sister, Agnes Bajema, Washougal, Wash.; 16 grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia. The Rev. Robert A. Kurwicki will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, Westphalia, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph School or St. Joseph Catholic Church, both in Westphalia.
PROUTY
Robert Hodges Prouty, 77, Eldon, died Oct. 1, 2000, at his home.
He was born March 31, 1923, in Rolla, a son of David F. and Evelyn Louise Hodges Prouty. He was married June 26, 1945, to Mary Ellen Casad, who died July 10, 1947. He was married Aug. 10, 1951, to Zella Lee Manes, who survives at the home.
A graduate of Rolla High School, he received a degree from Butler University in 1947 and completed his graduate degree at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1955. He worked for the Missouri Division of Vocational Rehabilitation from 1947 to 1975. He worked for the Federal Office of Education from 1975 until his retirement in 1989.
A Marine Corps veteran of World War II, he was a member of Eldon United Methodist Church. He was a life member of the National Rehabilitation Association, a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and the Eldon Country Club.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Dr. Joan Moore, Olathe, Kan., and Cindy Hart, Eldon; three sons, David Prouty, Boise, Idaho, Dale Prouty, Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., and Phillip Prouty, of the home; one brother, Bill Prouty, Rolla; one half sister, Shirley Gilmore, Hancock; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Eldon United Methodist Church. The body will be cremated.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Gateway Industries of Eldon, or to Eldon United Methodist Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon.
STOREST
Verna Delores Storest, 70, Gravois Mills, died Sept. 30, 2000, at Laurie Care Center.
She was born June 24, 1930, in Minneapolis, a daughter of Art and Ruth Lord Lorensen. She was married June 24, 1950, in Minneapolis, to Fred Storest, who survives at the home.
A homemaker, she was a member of Kent Memorial Lutheran Church.
Other survivors include: one son, David Storest, state of Montana; two daughters, Janet Barrow, Kansas City, Kan., and Cynthia Sonju, Minneapolis; two sisters, Violet Larson, Minneapolis, and Pearl Lorensen, Plainsville, Minn.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The remains will be cremated.
Arrangements are under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie.
WILLIAMS
James K. Williams, 91, Jefferson City, died Oct. 1, 2000, at his home.
He was born Aug. 8, 1909, in Hays, Kan., a son of Walter E. and America Opal Mitchel Williams. He was married in 1937 in Kansas City to Mary Margaret Williams, who died March 6, 1986.
He was a caterer for Williams Catering in Kansas City for many years. He had lived in McGirk.
He is survived by one son, George W. Johnson, Jefferson City.
Two grandsons preceded him in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California. The Rev. Ivan Dameron will officiate. Burial will be in California City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday.

WISEMAN
Selma E. Wiseman, 89, Morrison, died Oct. 1, 2000, in Morrison.
She was born April 24, 1911, in Morrison, a daughter of Ellen and Emma Manske Seifert. She was married Jan. 5, 1932, in St. Charles, to Joshua M. Wiseman, who preceded her in death.
She worked at International Shoe Factory in Hermann and on the family farm. She also owned and operated Memory Lake in Morrison for 34 years. She was a member of St. James United Church of Christ, Morrison, and the St. James Womens Fellowship.
Survivors include one son, Allen Wiseman, Morrison, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at St. James United Church of Christ. The Rev. Bruce Edwards and Pastor David Stogsdill will officiate. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery, Morrison.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home, Morrison.
Memorials are suggested to Good Hope Cemetery, or the St. James United Church of Christ.
HENTGES
Eric Wayne Hentges, 24, Jefferson City, died Oct. 3, 2000, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born Sept. 26, 1976, in Jefferson City, a son of David and Corliss Belt Hentges. His parents survive in Centertown. He was married Sept. 16, 2000, in Wardsville, to Nicole Sommerer, who survives at the home.
He attended Jefferson City High School. He worked in produce and bakery at Gerbes West for five years, and was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Wardsville.
Other survivors include: two brothers, Tony Hentges, Holts Summit, and Bryan Hentges, Centertown; one sister, Tina Hentges, Jefferson City; paternal grandmother, Louise Hentges, St. Martins; and maternal grandparents, Gene and Evelyn Belt, Centertown.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Peter's Catholic Church. The Rev. Donald W. Lammers will officiate. Burial will be on the family farm.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
