BUECHTER
Anna Marie Buechter, 77, Iberia, died April 8, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born June 25, 1921, in Maries County, a daughter of Joseph and Wilhemina Schulte Kleffner. She was married Aug. 15, 1945, in Brinktown, to Joseph Anthony Buechter, who died June 25, 1969.
She worked at Iberia Friendship Hall for 10 years. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Anthony.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include: six daughters, JoAnn Bauer, Brinktown, Margie Kempker, Eugene, Rosie Edwards, Ulman, and Veronica Buechter, Alice Newhart and Hilda Workman, all of Iberia; five sons, Henry Buechter, Osage Beach, Leo Buechter, Brumley, and Joie Buechter, Billy Buechter and Paul Buechter, all of Iberia; three sisters, Regina Buchhiet, Agnes Buchhiet, and Sister Agnes Marie Kleffner, all of St. Louis; one brother, Ben Kleffner, Fenton; 18 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and two step great-great-grandchildren.
One grandson preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Anthony. The Rev. Clarence Wiederholt will officiate. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8:30 p.m. today at St. Anthony Parish Hall, St. Anthony, with a wake service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Masses in memory of Anna Buechter.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia.
BURKHALTER
Harold W. Burkhalter, 80, California, died April 7, 1999, at California Care Center.
He was born June 29, 1918, in Moniteau County, a son of Ernest and Adalia Kierchoff Burkhalter.
He was a retired farmer and a member of Salem United Church of Christ, near California. He attended Surprise School, near California.
Survivors include: two sisters, Velma Bueker, California, and Nadine Fischer, Lohman.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Weber and Sons Funeral Home, California. The Rev. Gary Schulte will officiate. Burial will be in Salem United Church of Christ Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to Salem United Church of Christ.
CAMPBELL
Due to storm damage in Linn, services for Charles C. Campbell, 86, Linn, who died April 7, 1999, have been rescheduled.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn. Burial will be in Linn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m.
SCOTT
Services were today for the Rev. Robert Scott, 46, New York City, formerly of Jefferson City, who died April 3, 1999, at a Manhattan hospital.
He was born Sept. 3, 1952, in New York City, a son of Walter I. and Gladys Corie Scott. His mother survives in New York City.
He attended New York City Public Schools and was a singer, artist and musician. While in high school, he was a member of the All City Chorus.
In May 1989, he graduated from Central Bible College in Springfield with a bachelor's degree in Bible and a minor in sign language. After completing a year's internship, he was licensed as a pastor. He then entered the ministry as an assistant pastor at First Assembly of God Church in Jefferson City, where he was worship leader and visitation pastor for nine years.
He returned to New York City on Jan. 1.
Other survivors include: three sisters, Velma Valentine, Linda Scott and Claudia Scott, all of New York City.
Services were at Soul Saving Station in New York City. The Rev. Robert I. Winley and the Rev. Lowell Perkins officiated. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.
Local services will be at 6 p.m. Sunday at First Assembly of God Church.
Memorials are suggested to the family in care of First Assembly of God.
Arrangements were under the direction of Peter Lance Funeral Home, New York City.
DOTSON
Darold Dean Dotson, 67, Eldon, died April 9, 1999, at Lake of the Ozarks General Hospital.
He was born May 5, 1931, in Dawes County, Nebraska, a son of Leland and Josephine Dober Dotson. He was married Dec. 21, 1950, in Rushville, Neb., to Doris Barth, who survives at the home.
He was a retired welder from J.I. Case, Burlington, Iowa. He owned and operated Cat Rock Resort since 1979. He was a member of the American Lutheran Church of Oklahoma.
Other survivors include: one son, James L. Dotson, Eldon; two daughters, Jeannine Coberly, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, and Janelle Thornburgh, Maryland Heights; one brother, Leo Dotson, Hay Springs, Neb.; and two sisters, Veronica Shupe, Evanston, Wyo., and Dorothy Munson, Reliance, S.D.
The body has been cremated under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home. No services are planned.
Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.
JAMES
Steven R. James, 45, Russellville, died April 8, 1999, in Franklin County, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born June 12, 1953, in Lawrence, Kan., a son of Juanita Utt, who survives in Russellville.
An Air Force veteran, he was a firefighter in Kansas City for four years. He was assistant fire chief of the Russellville Rural Fire Department. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Russellville, and of the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
Survivors include: one daughter, Anita "Jan" James, Jefferson City; one son, Christopher James, Mississippi; maternal grandmother Helen M. James; and two stepbrothers, Daryl and Gary Utt, both of Kansas City.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. The Rev. Farrie L. Cole Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Enloe Cemetery, Russellville.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Weber and Sons Funeral Home, Russellville.
Memorials are suggested to the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
KOCHENOWER
Glen Vernon Kochenower, 68, Iberia, died April 8, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 2, 1931, in Omega, Okla, a son of Joseph and Myrtle Curry Kochenower. He was married Nov. 3, 1952, in Bentonville, Ark., to Lois Pauline Turrentine Hutsler, who survives at the home.
An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 28 years. He was past master of the Kingfisher, Okla., Masonic Lodge AF & AM, and past patron of the Kingfisher Order of the Eastern Star. He was a member of the Guthrie, Okla., Scottish Rite and the Kingfisher Elks Lodge. He was a member of the Kingfisher Christian Church.
Other survivors include: four daughters, Virginia Brisco, Kinston, N.C., Barbara Brunette, Falls City, Neb., Carol Jo McGoffin, Arapaho, Okla., Michelle Wingo, Cataula, Ga.; one brother, Billy Kochenower, Kingfisher; one sister, Frances Williams, Kingfisher; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Kingfisher Christian Church. The Rev. Stan Way will officiate. Burial will be in Kingfisher Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia, and from 1-5 p.m. Sunday at Sanders Funeral Home, Kingfisher.
Memorials are suggested to the Iberia First Christian Church Building Fund.
NOLL
Dr. Robert Maurice Noll, 91, Iberia, died April 7, 1999, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.
He was born Jan. 15, 1908, in Winchester, Kan., a son of Dr. George and Barbara Krier Noll. He was married July 26, 1929, in Seneca, Kan., to Jessie Marie Hatfield, who died in 1964.
He practiced medicine in Deming, N.M., from 1942-1967, delivering more than 3,000 babies. After his retirement, he worked as a gunsmith, owning Arms Craft in El Paso, Texas . A member of the National Rifle Association, he moved to Iberia in 1995.
Survivors include: one son, Robert Noll, Pawnee, Neb.; one daughter, Barbara Ann Fritche, Deming; two sisters, Lucille Haug and Jerry Schmelzle, both of Seneca; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mountain View Cemetery, Deming.
Visitation will be from noon-5 p.m. Sunday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia.
McDONALD
Bert McDonald, 93, Eldon, died April 8, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born May 28, 1905, in Ulman, a son of Benjamin B. and Priscilla May Lupardus McDonald. He was married Jan. 10, 1928, in Ulman, to Ruth Ella Richardson, who died Dec. 5, 1987.
He was a retired sole cutter from International Shoe. He also worked for the city of Eldon as a cemetery caretaker. A charter member of Ninth Street Christian Church in Eldon, he was a member of LOCEF and of the Miller County Historical Society.
Survivors include: two sons, Bob L. McDonald, Sedalia, and Charles McDonald, Eldon; one daughter, Marjorie Maylee, Eldon; one sister, Lois Crismon, Eldon; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Anna Mae Benham, died March 22, 1977.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Ninth Street Christian Church. Don E. Renken will officiate. Burial will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens, Barnett.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Phillips Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the Ninth Street Christian Church Building Fund.
RAMSPOTT
Henry Ramspott, 87, Vienna, died April 8, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born May 11, 1911, in St. Louis, a son of William and Minnie Rebesberger Ramspott. He was married June 5, 1937, in Hillsboro, to Mabel Breeding, who died Jan. 19, 1993.
He had been traffic manager for Federated Metals. He worked for Biederman Furniture Company, St. Louis, for 20 years, retiring in 1973. A member of First Baptist Church, Vienna, he was an honorary member of the Traffic Club of St. Louis, and a former member of the Moose Lodge 1086, Maplewood. He was a resident of Maries Manor Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, Vienna.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna. The Rev. Karen Alden will officiate. Burial will be in Breeding Cemetery, Freeburg.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today and from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday.
