HOLTERMAN

Elizabeth A. Holterman, 95, Westphalia, died Oct. 9, 2000, at Westphalia Retirement Center.

She was born Dec. 23, 1905, in Westphalia, a daughter of Ferdinand and Gertrude Hoer Holterman.

She attended St. Joseph School, Westphalia.

She was employed as a housekeeper and seamstress by the Dr. Conrad S. and Anna Verhoff family from 1927 until her retirement in 1962.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia.

She is survived by one sister, Sophia Stieferman, Westphalia.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia. The Rev. Robert A. Kurwicki will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, Westphalia, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia.

PLOTKE

Frank B. Plotke, 69, Camdenton, died Oct. 9, 2000, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.

He was born Aug. 15, 1931, in Chicago, a son of Leon and Hilda Plotke. He was married Feb. 25, 1961, to Marie DuPaul Safranek, who survives at the home.

A past resident of Orland Park, Ill., he was a member of Local 710 Brotherhood of Teamsters, Chicago.

He moved to the Lake area in 1978.

Other survivors include: one son, James Frank Plotke, Mokena, Ill.; one daughter, Judy Christeson, Osage Beach; three brothers, John Plotke, state of Florida, Leo Plotke, state of Washington , and Bill Plotke, state of Illinois; six grandchildren; and three step grandchildren.

No services are planned. The remains will be cremated.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.

WOOD

Billie M. Wood, 74, Eldon, died Oct. 10, 2000, in Osage Beach.

She was born Sept. 16, 1926, in  Jefferson City, a daughter of Ralph and Anna Bailey Reven. She was married Dec. 26, 1943, in Lake Ozark, to Hershel Wood, who survives at the home.

She was a retired production worker for Fasco. She was a member of Bagnell Baptist Church.

Other survivors include: three sons, Larry Wood, David Wood and Ron Wood, all of Eldon; two daughters, Pat Travis and Sue Golden, both of Eldon; one sister, Louise Wallis, Kaiser; one brother, Harold Reven, Eldon; 17 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Wendall Estill will officiate. Burial will be in Tol Wood Cemetery, Eldon.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.

SNIDER

Allen Rush Snider, 46, Versailles, died Oct. 9, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born Dec. 1, 1953, in Williston, N.D., a son of Almon and Phyllis Trowbridge Snider. He was married Nov. 5, 1973, to Judith Irene Amos, who survives at the home.

He worked for the Ford Motor Company, Kansas City, as an assembly line worker. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union 249 and the West Union Baptist Church.

Other survivors include: two sons, Christopher Allen Snider, Liberty, and Shawn Michael Snider, Stover; one daughter, Julie Christine Shepard, Kansas City; three brothers, Melvin J. Snider, Arlington, Va., Lewis B. Olson, Trip, S.D., and Jesse D. Snider, Buffalo; three sisters, Carolyn Raney, Buffalo, Lois Ramsey, Warsaw, and Mary Klappan, Williston; and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Chris Cox and Rod Campbell will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date in Versailles Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.

McEACHERN

Anne Stratton Barcus McEachern, 87,  Jefferson City, died Oct. 9, 2000, at Oak Tree Villa Nursing Center.

She was born Jan. 8, 1913, in Dallas, a daughter of the Rev. Edward R. and Susie Cyrus Barcus. She was married May 16, 1935, in Temple, Texas , to Claramon B. McEachern, who died April 9, 1994.

A Methodist, she was active in the women's work of the church at the local, district and conference levels. She taught adult Sunday school classes and an ecumenical Bible study club. She was a member of the Longview, Texas , Study Club and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She was a graduate of Southern Methodist University, Dallas.

Survivors include: one daughter, Ann McEachern Maxwell,  Jefferson City; one son, Robert E. "Bob" McEachern, Waco, Texas ; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church, Longview. Private graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Old Town Cemetery, Haynesville, La.

Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church of Longview, the First United Methodist Church of  Jefferson City or the Austin Avenue United Methodist Church, Waco.

Local arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

LEWIS

MaryAnn Lewis, 69, St. Charles, formerly of Rocky Mount, died Oct. 9, 2000, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis.

She was born Jan. 18, 1931, in St. Louis, a daughter of Henry H. and Mary A. Feldt. She was married to Daniel Lewis, who survives at the home.

She was a homemaker.

Other survivors include: three daughters, Sandra Biermann, Estes Park, Colo., Michelle "Mickey" Bethmann, St. Charles, and Maureen "Cookie" Pangilinan, St. Peters; one son, Daniel Lewis Jr., St. Peters; three brothers; two sisters; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, St. Charles, with a rosary at noon. Burial will be in St. Charles Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Thursday at Baue Funeral and Memorial Center, St. Charles.

Memorials are suggested to SSM Hospice or Masses.

FARRELL

Harry D. Farrell, 83, Eldon, died Oct. 11, 2000, in Eldon.

He was born April 9, 1917, in Griggsville, Ill., a son of Michael and Frances Higdon Farrell. He was married May 12, 1960, in New London, to Pauline Scrivner, who survives at the home.

A Navy veteran of World War II, he worked as a corrections officer for the state of Missouri. He was a retired forklift operator for Westinghouse of  Jefferson City. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Eldon.

Other survivors include: three daughters, Marge Kelly, Rossville, Ga., Betty Bradshaw, Tulsa, and Judy Fitzpatrick,  Jefferson City; three sons, Larry Farrell, Golden, Ill., Rex Fenton, Kansas City, and Gary Fenton, Eldon; two sisters, Essie Smith and Mary Benson, both of Pittsfield, Ill.; one brother, James Farrell, St. Charles; 16 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Eldon. The Rev. Randall Bunch and the Rev. Tom Kelly will officiate. Burial will be in Enloe Cemetery, Russellville.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

STURM

Services were Monday for Ruth Estes Sturm, 80, Cape Girardeau, formerly of  Jefferson City, who died Sept. 30, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born March 5, 1920, in Marble Hill, a daughter of Sylvester and Maude McGlothlin Estes. She was married Dec. 4, 1942, in Cape Girardeau, to Ferd Sturm, who survives at the home.

She worked for Southeast Missouri Telephone Company and then as a librarian in Dexter.

She lived in  Jefferson City for 13 years and was a former member of Community Christian Church.

She currently was a member of First Christian Church, Cape Girardeau. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, St. Francis Medical Center Auxiliary and St. Marys Hospital Auxiliary in  Jefferson City.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Martha Sue Sturm, Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Dallas Estes, Jackson, and Carl Mac Estes, Cape Girardeau; and one granddaughter.

One son, Michael Sturm, preceded her in death.

Services were at First Christian Church. The Rev. Phillip N. Curran officiated. Burial was in Cape County Memorial Park.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association; or the First Christian Church Building Fund, 2411 Abbey Road, Cape Girardeau, Mo. 63701.

Arrangements were under the direction of Ford and Sons Funeral Home, Cape Girardeau.

WEBER

Peggy L. Weber, 68,  Jefferson City, died Oct. 11, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.

She was born Oct. 12, 1931, in  Jefferson City, a daughter of William and Nellie Tucker Woodland. She was married Aug. 27, 1950, in Russellville, to Hershel J. Weber, who survives at the home.

A 1950 graduate of  Jefferson City High School, she worked part time at the Russellville Locker Plant. She had lived in Russellville and was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church, Russellville. She most recently was a member of First Baptist Church.

Other survivors include: two sons, Wesley Weber and Bob Weber, both of  Jefferson City; one daughter, Cindy Matheis, Russellville; one sister, Allene Libbert, St. Martins; two brothers, Jewell Woodland,  Jefferson City, and Paul Woodland, Loveland, Colo.; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Weber and Sons Funeral Home, Russellville. The Rev. Doyle Sager and the Rev. Ferrie Cole will officiate. Burial will be in Enloe Cemetery, Russellville.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday.

Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church of  Jefferson City, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
