NALL

Cornelia E. Nall, 89, of  Jefferson City, died Oct. 11, 2000, at the  Jefferson City Manor Nursing Center.

She was born on Sept. 29, 1911, in  Jefferson City, a daughter of Henry A. and Cora Belle Hill Nall.

She graduated from  Jefferson City High School and the St. Louis Business College. She was a resident of the  Jefferson City area until 1955, when she moved to St. Louis. In 1994, she returned to her original home town. While in  Jefferson City, she was the assistant secretary of the City National Savings and Loan Company from 1934 to 1955. She was employed by the Roosevelt Federal Savings and Loan Company in St. Louis from 1955 until her retirement in 1971. She was a member of the St. Johns Methodist Church of St. Louis, the First United Methodist Church of  Jefferson City, and the Victoria Chapter #14, Order of the Eastern Star.

Graveside services and burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at Riverview Cemetery. The Rev. Dorothy Lairmore will officiate.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Monday at Freeman Mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to The Ruth Circle at the First United Methodist Church in  Jefferson City.

KLIETHERMES

Elsie L. Kliethermes, 76, of  Jefferson City, died Oct. 13, 2000, at the Capital Health Care Center.

She was born Dec. 27, 1921, in Osage County, a daughter of Paul and Christine Ebert LeCure. She was married to Clarence V. Kliethermes, who died June 12, 1981.

A life-long resident of the central Missouri area, she attended school at Cadet Creek in Osage County. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Arlene Heckman of Holts Summit; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services and burial will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Cadet Creek Cemetery in Osage County.

Memorials are suggested to the Cadet Creek Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

KIRBY

Donal Franklin Kirby, 87, of  Jefferson City, died Oct. 13, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 5, 1913, in Eldon, a son of Frank and Etta Cox Kirby. He was married March 19, 1949, in  Jefferson City to Hazel Harrison, who survives at home.

He served in the United States Army during World War II. He worked for Phillips Pipeline Terminal in  Jefferson City for 40 years until retiring in February 1976. He was a member of the American Legion Roscoe Enloe Post 5 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Roy Sone Post 1003.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Donna Kay Borgmeyer of Taos; one sister, Allene Whitener of  Jefferson City; and one grand child.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Monday. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors,  Jefferson City Chapel. The Rev. Rudolph W. Beard will officiate. Burial will follow in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

SHIVELY

Mark E. Shively, 41, California, died Oct. 16, 2000, near California.

He was born July 17, 1959, in Columbia, a son of Edward P. and Ruby L. Weber Shively. His mother survives in  Jefferson City. He was married Jan. 26, 1985, in  Jefferson City, to Lynn J. Graham, who survives at the home.

A 1977 graduate of  Jefferson City High School, he received a bachelor's degree in business from Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg, and a master's degree in public administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

He owned and managed Westside Veterinary Clinic.

He previously had been employed for 14 years at the Missouri Department of Education, division of disabilities determination, where he was state deputy director.

He was a deacon and treasurer at Lebanon Baptist Church, McGirk, where he was a member of the Pairs and Spairs Sunday School Class.

He coached the fifth-grade girls basketball team at Trinity Lutheran School.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Kristen M. Shively, of the home; and two sisters, Deborah L. Bledsoe,  Jefferson City, and Diane L. Vaughan, St. Louis.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Lebanon Baptist Church, McGirk. The Rev. E. Frank Whitney will officiate.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to Lebanon Baptist Church, McGirk, or the Brenna Siebert Memorial Pet Care Fund.

MILLER

Helen Mae McNay Miller, 76, Jamestown, died Oct. 15, 2000, at her home.

She was born April 10, 1924, in Centertown, a daughter of Cleo J. and Velma M. McKenna McNay. She was married in 1944 to George Marvin, who preceded her death. She was married Feb. 7, 1950, in California, to William F. Miller Sr., who survives at the home.

She worked for Fasco as a wire dresser in Eldon, retiring in 1990. She also worked for California Manufacturing as a sewing machine operator, and at Firestone as an inspector in Kansas City. She also worked for Missouri Pacific Railroad. She was a member of Cedron Catholic Church, and was a graduate of Centertown High School.

Other survivors include: one son, William, "Fred" Miller, Clarksburg; four daughters, Judy Ehrhardt and MaDonna Duncan, both of  Jefferson City, Billie Jean Tyler, California, and Mary Fairfax, Russellville; two brothers, Jim McNay, Barnett, and Jack McNay, Jamestown; one sister, Cecilia Turner, Sacramento, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; one step grandchild; seven great-grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren.

One son, James R. Marvin, died in 1968.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California. The Rev. Henry Reichert will officiate. Burial will be in Cedron Cemetery, north of California.

Visitation will be from 5-8:30 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to Community Hospice of America, c/o Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, 100 S. Oak St., California, Mo. 65108; or to the Cedron Catholic Church Building Fund, c/o Jim Imhoff, 19206 Highway D., California, Mo. 65018.

RAGSDALE

Bill Monroe Ragsdale, 52, Eldon, died Oct. 16, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born June 8, 1948, in Russellville, Ark., a son of Cecil and Katie Page Ragsdale. He was married Oct. 25, 1999, to Sharon Bates, who survives at the home.

He attended grade school in Clarksville, Ark. An Army veteran, he was in the Arkansas Army National Guard for 10 years.

He was a laborer and worked for Ted Albertson Construction Co. and Eureka Brick Plant, Clarksville.

Other survivors include: four daughters, Scarlet Martin, Amber Walton, Crystal Ragsdale and Melissa Ragsdale, all of the state of Arkansas; two sons, William Ragsdale and Christopher Ragsdale, both of the state of Arkansas; two sisters, Janet Harmon and Wilma Jones, both of the state of Arkansas; one brother, Darrel Ragsdale, Eldon; and three grandsons.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home. The Rev. Mike Hearst will officiate. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Hagarville Cemetery, Hagarville, Ark.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday.

Memorials are suggested to the Bill Ragsdale Memorial Fund.

RATLIFF

Cody Darrell Ratliff, 9, Russellville, died Oct. 9, 2000.

Arrangements are pending at Weber & Sons Funeral Home, Russellville.

BARNARD

Bobby L. Barnard, 70, Holts Summit, died Oct. 11, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.

Arrangements are at Freeman Mortuary.

EIKERMANN

Milton A. Eikermann, 89,  Jefferson City, died Oct. 12, 2000, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility.

Arrangements are at Buescher Memorial Home.

SJOBLOM

Ernest L. Sjoblom, 70,  Jefferson City, died Oct. 15, 2000, at Oak View Living Center.

He was born March 15, 1930, in Kansas City, Kan., a son of Ernest S. and Elsie A. Bailey Sjoblom. He was married June 8, 1957, in Kansas City, to Lucille Compere, who survives at the home.

He graduated from Argentine High School, Kansas City, Kan., and earned a bachelor's degree in pharmacy from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He was a registered pharmacist in Kansas and Missouri. He was the managing pharmacist at the Smith, Glynn, Callaway Clinic in Springfield from 1960 to 1972. A resident of  Jefferson City since 1972, he was chief of the bureau of narcotics and dangerous drugs for the Missouri Department of Health from 1972 until his retirement in 1995. He then became a pharmacy consultant for the University of Missouri Medical Center.

An Air Force veteran of the Korean War, he served on the Christian Life Commission of the Missouri Baptist Convention. He received many professional awards. He was a Boy Scout leader in Springfield and  Jefferson City and was a co-founder and officer of the National Association of State Controlled Substance Authorities.

He was a member and deacon at First Baptist Church; a member of the Missouri Public Health Association; a member of the Missouri Pharmaceutical Association; and a member of the International Narcotic Enforcement Office Association.

Other survivors include: one son, John Sjoblom, Kansas City; one daughter, Barbara Long,  Jefferson City; two sisters, Florence Guth, Downers Grove, Ill., and Joann Keilberg, Angleton, Texas ; and one granddaughter.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Doyle Sager will officiate. Graveside services, with military honors, will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Freeman Mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church; or to the Boy Scouts of America.

BORROR

Ialeen E. Borror, 73, of  Jefferson City, died Oct. 14, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.

Arrangements are at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors.
