BROWN
Eddie Brown, 47, California, died Oct. 18, 2000, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics, from injuries sustained in an accident.
He was born May 6, 1953, in Searcy, Ark., a son of Charles E. and Maggie Wilson Brown. He was married June 21, 1986, in California, to Jackie Crawford, who survives at the home.
A 1972 graduate of California High School, he was employed by Arkansas Valley Feather since 1976. He was a member of the Pentecostal Tabernacle in California.
Other survivors include: one son, Travis Brown, of the home; one daughter, Stephanie Brown, of the home; four brothers, Everett Brown, Cedar City, Leroy Brown and Harold Brown, both of California, and Joe Brown, Clarksburg; and six sisters, Viola Stepp, Osceola, Maude Williams, Mary Mallinson, Bonnie Parker and Lois Fortson, all of California, and Louise Osborn, Columbia.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California. The Rev. David Nicholson will officiate. Burial will be in California City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday.

SMITH
Bonnie Aletta Smith, 64, Brumley, died Oct. 17, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 7, 1935, in Brumley, a daughter of Milton and Opal Duncan Luttrell. She was married Jan. 1, 1960, in Kansas City, to Bill G. Smith, who survives at the home.
She lived in Kansas City, Kan., for 40 years, returning to Brumley in 1977. She managed Roe Bowl in Roeland Park, Kan., retiring after 18 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Other survivors include: three sons, Bruce Luttrell, Joplin, Randall Smith, Gardner, Kan., and Russell Smith, Kansas City, Kan.; seven sisters, Dorlas Gilliam, Lois Pemberton, Patsy Rodden and Karen Barnett, all of Brumley; Alice Woolridge, Odessa, Rosemary Douglas, Olean, and Shirley Smith, Butler; and three grandchildren.
One infant daughter, Mitzi Smith, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. Burial will be in Iberia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
SIFFORD
Chris Sifford, 37, Jefferson City, died Oct. 16, 2000, from injuries sustained in an airplane crash in Jefferson County.
Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Morgan-Sifford Funeral Home, Puxico.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Puxico High School gymnasium.

HULL
Irene Hull, 88, Belle, died Oct. 18, 2000, at her home.
She was born Sept. 11, 1912, a daughter of Martin and Martha Shanks Backues. She was married June 7, 1933, in Maries County, to James Hull, who died Nov. 20, 1974.
She was a member of the Church of Christ, Belle. A homemaker, she had worked at Debs Shoe Company in Owensville, and at Langenberg Hat Factory in Vienna. She had lived in Owensville and Vienna.
Survivors include: one son, Jack Hull, Belle; one daughter, Sarah West, Rolla; eight grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Two sons, James Hull and Bobby Hull, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna. Dan Gannon and Ishmael Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, Vienna.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday and noon-2 p.m. Saturday.

COLLINS
Margaret S. Collins, 75, Camdenton, died Oct. 16, 2000, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.
Arrangements are at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.
ROWLAND
Forrest H. Rowland, 85, Stover, died Oct. 18, 2000, at the Golden Age Living Center, Stover.
He was born Nov. 10, 1914, in Stover, a son of Lewis and Lee Brown Rowland. He was married Feb. 2, 1947, in Versailles, to Leoma M. Silvey, who survives at the home.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was a 1932 graduate of Stover High School. He worked as a substitute mail carrier in Stover until taking a fulltime position until his retirement. He also farmed and did carpentry work.
He was the secretary for the Stover school board. He was a member of the Stover lions Club where he was secretary and president. He was a member of the Gravois Mills VFW Post 5902 and the Galloway-Martens American Legion Post 343, Stover. He was a member of Stover United Methodist Church where he taught youth Sunday school and later attended the men's Sunday school class.
Other survivors include: two sons, Steve Rowland, Overland Park, Kan., and Craig Rowland, Stover; one daughter, Brenda Rowland, Stover; and five grandchildren.
One grandson preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Stover United Methodist Church. The Rev. Diane Cutler will officiate. Burial, with military honors, will be in Stover Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Stover.
Memorials are suggested to the Stover United Methodist Church or the Golden Age Living Center.
SMITH
Lucille Lawson Smith, 90, Jefferson City, died Oct. 18, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born March 3, 1910, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Wallace D. and Sadie Belle Ellis Lawson. She was married March 28, 1940, in Jefferson City, to William Earl Smith, who died Aug. 13, 1959.
She was employed as a housekeeper for the state of Missouri for 30 years. She was a member of Second Baptist Church where she served on the usher board and was a member of the senior group. She was a past president of the Maude Johnson Mission Circle.
Survivors include one sister, Mary Elizabeth Lawson, Jefferson City.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Second Baptist Church. The Rev. Cornell C. Sudduth Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Longview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
AMOS
William "Bill" H. Amos, 91, Garden City, Kan., died Oct. 20, 2000, at Pioneer Lodge Nursing Home, Coldwater, Kan.
He was born June 28, 1909, in Russellville, a son of John M. and Coraley S. Brunk Amos. He was married April 9, 1944, in Leesville, La., to Catherine A. Brown, who survives at the home.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Garden City, VFW and Finney County Senior Center. He was a past Boy Scout leader. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a retired landscape architect for the Kansas Department of Transportation.
Other survivors include: one son, John E. Amos, Garden City; two daughters, Sandra J. Estabrook, Dodge City, Kan., and Karen Kay DeWerff, Wichita, Kan.; one brother, Clarence Amos, Russellville; two sisters, Carlie Rutledge, Independence, and Mary Lee Harlan, Port Charlotte, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Janet Hernandez will officiate. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Garden City.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Price and Sons Funeral Home, Garden City.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Kansas Unit Association, Garden City.
HAGAN
John Ronald Hagan Sr., 73, formerly of Jefferson City, died Oct. 19, 2000, at Knapp Medical Center Weslaco, Texas .
He was born Dec. 7, 1926, in Columbia, a son of William and Jenny Mae Wright Hagan. He was married in 1949 to Dorothy Mae Sandker Hagan, who survives at the home.
A veteran of World War II, he was a 1960 graduate of the University of Missouri. He worked with for several years for the Missouri Farmers Association, Columbia, and PBI-Gordon Chemical, Kansas City, Kan. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Pharr, Texas .
He and his wife owned the Modern Book Shop, Kansas City. He retired from the Missouri Department of Agriculture in 1989.
Other survivors include: one son, the Rev. John Hagan Jr.; one brother, George Hagan; and one grandson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Alamo Country Club clubhouse. The Rev. Wayne Carter will officiate.

ROBERTS
Nora E. "Granny Pete" Roberts, 88, Versailles, died Oct. 20, 2000, at Golden Age Living Center, Stover.
She was born May 24, 1912, in Pulaski County, a daughter of Winfield M. and Mary Ethel Carroll Morrison. She was married Aug. 10, 1930, to Freddie E. "Ted" Roberts, who died Oct. 17, 1966.
She was a retired cook and worked in several restaurants in the Versailles area. She worked at Kansas City Bifocal, Versailles. She attended the First Assembly of God Church, Versailles.
Survivors include five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
One son, Melvin E. Roberts, and one daughter, Beatrice S. Bennett, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday.
