JONES

Donald J. Jones, 78,  Jefferson City, died Nov. 10, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born Dec. 24, 1921, in St. Joseph, a son of Earl and Bessie Phillips Jones. He was married March 3, 1946, in St. Joseph to Gertrude M. Cundiff, who survives at the home.

He was a graduate of Lafayette High School and St. Joseph Junior College, St. Joseph. He was a U.S. Army Signal Corps veteran of World War II. He was employed in the printing industry for 43 years, retiring as manager of the Commercial Printing Company in 1986. He was employed at Caplingers Clothing Company and as a stained glass artisan for Toby's Cabinet Shop. He was a member of the First Church of God, a past member of the First Baptist Church and a past member of the Printer Union.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Karen Roberts,  Jefferson City, and Marita Custard, New Bloomfield; two sisters, Mildred Meggison, Topeka, Kan., and Betty Bush, Hemet, Calif.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Services will at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Freeman Chapel. The Rev. Gary Murrell will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery with military honors.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday.

Memorials are suggested to The First Church of God Building Fund or The American Heart Association.

STRUEMPH

Patricia Struemph, 55, Rossville, Kan., died Nov. 10, 2000, at her residence.

She was born May 26, 1945, in Argyle, a daughter of August and Flora McDonald Schulte. She was married Aug. 20, 1966, in Argyle to Herbert Struemph, who survives at the home.

She operated P&H Cafe in St. Elizabeth with her husband for 18 years and worked at the Missouri Department of Revenue for 20 years in data processing.

Other survivors include: one son, Jeremy Struemph, Lawrence, Kan.; two daughters, Sherri Hazell, Lenexa, Kan., and Kimberly Utt, St. Marys, Kan.; three brothers, Robert Schulte, Jerome Schulte, and Arthur Schulte, all of Meta; four sisters, Arlene Acree, Glendale, Margaret Buechter, Union, Rosemary Brys, Salem, and Mary Catherine Diesel, St. Marys, Kan.; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Koeltztown. Burial will be in the St. Boniface Cemetery.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today, with a 7:30 p.m. Rosary, and from 9-10:30 a.m. Monday at the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.

HOLT

Elizabeth Grace Holt, 73, Brownsville, Texas , formerly of  Jefferson City, died Nov. 10, 2000, at Brownsville Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 15, 1926, in Cedar City, a daughter of Joseph K. and Jennie Collier Dwight Dearing. She was married Aug. 21, 1946, in Wellsville, to William Carl Holt, who died Sept. 21, 1982.

She was a 1943 graduate of New Bloomfield High School and a member of Union Hill Baptist Church, Holts Summit.

Survivors include: two sons, James Richard Holt, Rancho Viejo, Texas , and William Carl Holt Jr., Orion, Mich.; one daughter, Jane Elizabeth Holt, San Benito, Texas ; three sisters, Connie Edmundsen, Margaret Collins and Evadine Allen, all of  Jefferson City; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Union Hill Baptist Church. The Rev. David Higgs will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home, Holts Summit.

Memorials are suggested to Union Hill Baptist Church.

CLARK

Dora C. Clark, 83, Linn, died Nov. 12, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.

She was born June 26, 1917, in Osage County, a daughter of Jacob and Catherine Leimer Bossaller. She was married Sept. 3, 1938, in Linn, to Elvin K. Clark, who died Dec. 20, 1998.

She was employed by Linn Manufacturing Co. and Linn Manor. She co-owned and operated Clark's Carpenter Bus Sales in Osage County.

She was a member of  Oklahoma Church of Christ, Osage County.

Survivors include: one son, Roger Clark, Linn; three sisters, Tilly Lacy, St. Louis, Mildred Brittain, Houston, Texas , and Marie Soward, Miraloma, Calif.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at  Oklahoma Church of Christ. The Rev. Mark Gregor will officiate. Burial will be in  Oklahoma Church of Christ Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn, and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to the  Oklahoma Church of Christ Cemetery Fund.

SCHROEDER

Roy Alfred Schroeder, 78,  Jefferson City, died Nov. 12, 2000, at his home.

He was born July 21, 1922, near Meta, a son of John H. and Mayme Ella Welsh Schroeder. He was married Nov. 12, 1946, in Schubert, to Rose Mary Diedel, who survives at the home.

He attended Meta schools and was an Army veteran of World War II. He farmed in the Osage County area, moving to Cole County in 1956, where he also farmed. He worked at Sitton Transportation for 17 years until his retirement in 1985.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Schubert, where he served as an elder and held other church offices.

Other survivors include: two sons, Roger Alan Schroeder,  Jefferson City, and Gary R. Schroeder, Richmond; one sister, Edna Lock,  Jefferson City; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Gerald Scheperle will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Schubert.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Buescher Memorial Home.

Memorials are suggested to St. John's Lutheran Church Building Fund.

KEENEY

Edwin Andrew Keeney, 67,  Jefferson City, died Nov. 13, 2000, at his home.

Arrangements are at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.

CLOPP

Raymond E. "Junior" Clopp, 73, Macks Creek, died Nov. 14, 2000, at his home.

He was born April 5, 1927, in Macks Creek, a son of Raymond G. and Stella Z. Prater Clopp. He was married March 30, 1951, in Macks Creek, to Peggy Linton, who survives at the home.

He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Macks Creek, and a charter member of the Macks Creek Lions Club. He was the owner of Junior's Market, Macks Creek. He was a manager of the MFA Feed Stores, Camdenton and Macks Creek.

Other survivors include: one son, Mike Clopp, Macks Creek; one daughter, Judy Taylor, Macks Creek; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, Macks Creek. The Rev. Dinzel Webb and the Rev. Paul Stephens will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Hedges Funeral Home, Macks Creek.

KEETH

Oral Dow Keeth, 87, Eldon, died Nov. 14, 2000, in Osage Beach.

He was born Jan. 7, 1913, in Palaski County, a son of Pearly and Ollie Shelton Keeth. He was married Oct. 30, 1935, in Tuscumbia, to Delpha Richardson, who survives at the home.

He was a self-employed carpenter.

Other survivors include: three daughters, Jean Blankenship, Rocky Mount, and Helen Arnold and Shelly Richardson, both of Eldon; one son, Mitchell Keeth, Eldon; four brothers, Leo Keeth, Idaho Falls, Idaho, Paul Keeth, Iberia, and Donald Keeth and Kenneth Keeth, both of Dixon; two sisters, Geraldine Hawk, Eldon, and Alice Mae Hawken, Tuscumbia; 14 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.

One daughter, Dawn Christopher, preceded him in death.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. John Shifflet will officiate. Burial will be in Tuscumbia Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday.

Memorials are suggested to Tuscumbia Cemetery.

KNIPP

Stella Marie Knipp, 95, Tipton, died Nov. 13, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 5, 1905, in California, a daughter of Frank and Mary Zey Rau. She was married Oct. 8, 1929, in California, to John Henry Knipp, who died in 1980.

She was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Tipton, and the St. Andrew's Altar Society. She was a supervisor at Weber Shoe Company until her retirement.

Survivors include: two sons, Tom Knipp, Lee's Summit, and Cecil Knipp, St. Louis; two daughters, Shirley Wisner, Bunceton, and Mary Frederiksen, St. Charles; one brother, Earl Rau, St. Charles; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

One son, Ted Knipp, preceded her in death.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church. Fr. Henry Reichert will officiate. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Meisenheimer-Griswold Funeral Home, Tipton, with an altar society rosary at 3 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to St. Andrew's Catholic Church, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
