HUBER
Arthur Henry Huber, 81, Westphalia, died Nov. 29, 2000, at Westphalia Retirement Center.
He was born Dec. 21, 1918, in Jefferson City, a son of Charles and Mary Fechtel Huber. He was married Sept. 17, 1942, in Westphalia, to Zita Marie Brunnert, who survives at the home.
He was a graduate of St. Joseph High School, Westphalia. He was employed for several years at Triple K Foundation Service, Loose Creek, and later as a custodian at Fatima High School.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia; the Men's Sodality; Westphalia Knights of Columbus Council 1171; and the Westphalia Senior Citizens.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Janet Schaefer, Osage City, and Judith Watson, Vernon, Ill.; two sons, Harold Huber and Thomas J. Huber, both of Westphalia; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia. The Rev. Robert A. Kurwicki will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Westphalia.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, Westphalia, with a rosary at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic School or St. Joseph Parish.
SEYMORE
Lester William Seymore, 65, Holts Summit, died Nov. 28, 2000, at Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital, Columbia.
He was born July 23, 1935, in DesArk, Ark., a son of William and Veonie Culbertson Seymore.
Survivors include: four sons, Jeffery Allen Seymore and Donald Lester Seymore, both of the home, Harold Seymore, New Bloomfield, and Anthony L. Seymore, Holts Summit; two daughters, Leann Michelle Seymore, of the home, and Roxanne Brockman, Jefferson City; one brother, Willard Seymore, Elkhart, Ind.; two sisters, Iona Wyatt, Mishawaka, Ind., and Wanda Edwards, Dowagiac, Mich.; and four grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Debo Funeral Home, Holts Summit.
SCHMIDT
Billie "Smitty" Schmidt, 80, Princeton, Ky., formerly of Jefferson City, died Nov. 28, 2000, at Caldwell County Hospital, Princeton.
He was born June 7, 1920, in Jefferson City, a son of Vernon and Sally Baysinger Schmidt. He was married to Patty Oliver, who survives at the home.
He was a civil engineer in the state of Illinois until his retirement. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Paris, Ill.
Survivors include: one son, Billy Schmidt, Jefferson City; two daughters, Dr. Mary Case, St. Louis, and Sally Hunley, Knoxville, Tenn.; one brother, Ralph Schmidt, Shreveport, La.; two sisters, Ellen Becker, St. Louis, and Marie Herron, Lake Wood, Calif.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Morgan's Funeral Home, Princeton. The Rev. Dean Ray will officiate. Burial will be in Rowland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.
SCHEPERLE
Roy A. Scheperle, 93, Jefferson City, died Nov. 30, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born June 25, 1907, in Millbrook, a son of John and Elizabeth Raithel Scheperle. He was married Sept. 28, 1930, in California, to Marie Lueckenotte, who died Jan. 4, 2000.
A lifelong Central Missouri resident, he was a 1925 Jefferson City High School graduate.
He owned and operated Roy A. Scheperle Construction Co. for more than 50 years before retiring in 1982. He built more than 300 homes and commercial buildings including: Charles E. Still Hospital; Memorial Community Hospital; Trinity Lutheran Church and school; four public school buildings; and the Capital Mall.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and many other business and professional organizations.
Survivors include: three daughters, Audrey M. Howser and Beverly Scheperle, both of Jefferson City, and Barbara A. Walter, Springfield; one brother, John Scheperle, Jefferson City; one sister, Selma Peeper, Jefferson City; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
One son, Donald Roy Scheperle, died April 22, 1939.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Jerome Brownlee, the Rev. John Hobratschk and the Rev. Gerald Scheperle will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at Freeman Mortuary and from 10 -11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund or a charity of the donor's choice.
OWEN
Services were today for Evelyn Grey Owen, 75, Columbia, formerly of Jefferson City, who died Nov. 27, 2000, at her home.
She was born July 9, 1925, in Bluefield, W. Va., a daughter of Charles W. and Clara G. Coleman Houchins. She was married July 6, 1945, to Jack R. Owen, who died in 1992.
She worked at Buffy's Childrens Store and Busch's Florist. She was a foster grandparent at Russell Elementary School. She moved to Columbia from Florida in 1998
Survivors include: one son, Jack R. Owen Jr., state of Montana; one daughter, Barbara Stock, Columbia; and five grandchildren.
Services were at Parker Funeral Service, Columbia. The Rev. Jay Ketchie officiated.
Memorials are suggested to Special Olympics.
KATTELMANN
Edward William Gilbert "Eddie" Kattelmann, 75, Camdenton, died Nov. 28, 2000, at his home.
He was born Jan. 14, 1925, in Washington , a son of Arno H. and Laura Elizabeth Maschmann Kattelmann. He was married Aug. 21, 1949, in Washington , to Helen Jean Bihr, who survives at the home.
He graduated from high school in Washington , and was a graduate of the University of Missouri. A Navy veteran, he was employed by the Missouri Department of Conservation. He was an agent in Bowling Green; a pilot for the Conservation Commission in Lebanon; and assistant regional supervisor in Camdenton. He retired in 1987.
He was a member and past deacon at Community Christian Church, Camdenton; a member of Masonic Lodge 136, Bowling Green; and past president of the W.B.C.C.I.
Other survivors include: two sons, Gilbert John "Buddy" Kattelmann, Kahoka, and Col. Dean Kattelmann, Dallas; two daughters, Beth Fennewald, California, and Jean Hedden, O'Fallon; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Community Christian Church, Camdenton. The Rev. Tracy Carroll will officiate. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Moniteau Advent Church of Christ Cemetery, California.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton.
Memorials are suggested to the Eddie Kattelmann Memorial Fund at Community Christian Church, Camdenton.
BOSWELL
Stacy Ann Boswell, 25, Jefferson City, died Nov. 29, 2000, at her home.
She was born Sept. 24, 1975, in Wichita, Kan., a daughter of Jack T. and Gail Mary Wilson Boswell. Her parents survive in Jefferson City.
She was a 1993 Jefferson City High School graduate. She worked at Hospice of Jefferson City and Mid-Missouri. She volunteered at St. Marys Health Center and Capital Region Medical Center.
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Other survivors include: one sister, Jamie Boswell, Jefferson City; one brother, Jake Boswell, Jefferson City; maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Arlene Wilson, Godfrey, Ill.; and paternal grandmother, Carolyn Boswell, Alton, Ill.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. The Rev. Gary W. Baker will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Saturday.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Jefferson City and Mid-Missouri.
