ROBERTSON
Services were today for Ruth Agnes Robertson, 91, Belle, who died Dec. 2, 2000, at Fren Valley Care Facility, Owensville.
She was born Aug. 25, 1909, near Feuersville, a daughter of Henry G. and Mary Emilie Lange Mittelhouser. She was married Aug. 31, 1930, to Rainey Rufus Robertson, who preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Pilot Knob Baptist Church for more than 70 years.
Survivors include: two daughters, Mary Jane Ridenhour and Earlene Ruby Stockton, both of Belle; one son, Jimmy Eugene Robertson, Belle; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
One son, Rainey Junior Robertson, preceded her in death.
Services were at Pilot Knob Baptist Church, Belle. Burial was in Pilot Knob Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Sassmann's Funeral Services, Belle.
SAULTS
Marianna "Nan" Statton Saults, 91, Fulton, died Dec. 2, 2000, at her home.
She was born Nov. 20, 1909, in Kahoka, a daughter of Henry and Henrietta Moffat Meyers. She was married to Cleo H. Statton, who preceded her in death. She was married to Lee Saults, who preceded her in death.
She was a member of Court Street United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Stephens College. She was a musician and taught piano and organ.
Survivors include: one son, Francis Statton, Dallas; one daughter, Nancy Korcheck, Chapel Hill, N.C.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Court Street United Methodist Church, Fulton. The Rev. George Braden and the Rev. Richard Blount will officiate.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton.
Memorials are suggested to the Callaway County YMCA Capital Fund or the Fulton High School Music Program.
TANNER
Nancy D. Tanner, 67, Columbia, died Dec. 2, 2000, at her home.
She was born May 29, 1933, in Hilo, Hawaii, a daughter of John and Nancy Elliott Doerr. She was married to Robert Morgan, who preceded her in death. She was married to Ralph Tanner, who preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include: one daughter, Margaret Tanner, Fulton; three stepsons, Carvin Tanner, Fulton, and Leon Tanner and Duane Tanner, both of Cortez, Colo.; three stepdaughters, Renae Yarbrough, Cortez, Jolene Phelps, Boise, Idaho, and Darlene Absher, Grass Valley, Calif.; one sister, Joan Palmer, Denver; 21 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
One son, Kenneth Morgan, preceded her in death.
Services will be in Cortez.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Debo Funeral Home, Fulton.
WILLIAMS
Nettie Williams, 76, Roach, died Dec. 3, 2000, at St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield.
She was born March 4, 1924, in Osage Iron Works, a daughter of Peter and Flossie Kincaid Roll. She was married Sept. 28, 1941, to Boyd Williams, who died Oct. 13, 1992.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include: one son, Rodney Williams, Fayetteville, Ark.; one brother, Finas Roll, Versailles; one sister, Nadean Kindle, Versailles; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton. Burial will be in Roach Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday.
SCHUERMAN
Alfred W. "Tooter" Schuerman, 87, Ashland, died Dec. 5, 2000, Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
He was born March 13, 1913, in Hartsburg, a son of Harry J. and Hattie Sims Schuerman. He was married Nov. 27, 1936, in Ashland, to Emma Isabell Rippeto, who survives at the home.
He drove a school bus for Southern Boone County School.
He then worked as a driver at the University of Missouri campus for 14 years until his retirement in 1980.
Other survivors include one daughter, Kay Francis Railton, Sturgeon, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Robinson Funeral Home, Ashland. Wallace Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Woodcrest Cemetery, Ashland.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association, 2600 I-70 Drive NW, Columbia, Mo.
ABERNATHY
William P. Abernathy, 76, Jefferson City, died Dec. 5, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born April 11, 1924, in Springfield, a son of Robert F. and Freda J. Payne Abernathy. He was married Jan. 30, 1976, in Las Vegas, to Pat Rice Choate, who survives at the home.
A resident of the Jefferson City area since 1946, he was a Navy veteran of World War II. He graduated from Central High School, Springfield, in 1943, and attended Drury College, Springfield.
He owned and operated Central Rendering Company for many years until 1976. He then served as a deputy marshall for the Missouri Supreme Court, retiring in 1986.
He was a member of the VFW, Roy Sone Post 1003; American Legion, Roscoe Enloe Post 5; Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 2693; Jefferson Lodge 43, A.F. & A.M.; Moolah Temple, St. Louis; and Capital Shrine Club.
Other survivors include: two stepsons, Skip Choate, Westminster, Calif., and John Choate, Jefferson City; one stepdaughter, Janet Hunter, St. Louis; one sister, Corabeth "Corky" Canale, Lakeland, Fla.; one brother, Joe E. Abernathy, Jefferson City; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Freeman Mortuary. Entombment, with military honors, will be in the mausoleum of Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to the Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.
HANKS
Bobby Ray Hanks, 66, Oklahoma City, died Dec. 4, 2000, at Southwest Medical Center, Oklahoma City.
He was born Dec. 11, 1933, in Cabool, a son of Alf and Ada Ray Hanks. He was married to Betty Pierce, who survives at the home.
He was a Navy veteran and a carpenter.
Other survivors include: three stepsons, Casey Mongold and Kirby Mongold, both of Moore, Okla., and John Mongold, Oklahoma City; two stepdaughters, Kathy Hilton and Goldie Williams, both of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Janie Hunt, Macks Creek, and Maxine Chicks, Grisham, Wis.; 21 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Macks Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Dinzel Webb will officiate. Burial will be in Macks Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Hedges Funeral Home, Macks Creek.
REEDER
Grace Helen Reeder, 84, Hartsburg, died Dec. 5, 2000, at Columbia Regional Hospital.
She was born May 29, 1916, in Boone County, a daughter of John W. and Lelia Ruby Pilcher Batye. She was married April 19, 1934, in Boone County, to Chester Samuels Reeder, who preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include: three sons, Joe E. Reeder, Boonville, John W. Reeder, Ashland, and Chester L. Reeder, Hartsburg; four daughters, Jan Calvin and Joyce Sapp, both of Hartsburg, Jane Bennett, Columbia, and Chiang C. Ryan, Monrovia, Md.; three sisters, Ruth Murray, Virginia Strawn and Geraldine Taggart, all of Columbia; 24 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
One grandson preceded her in death.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Robinson Funeral Home, Ashland. Wallace Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Woodcrest Cemetery, Ashland.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
RUZIKA
Mary Ruzika, 98, Eldon, died Dec. 5, 2000, in Eldon.
She was born Jan. 20, 1902, in the state of Oklahoma, a daughter of Martin and Mary Kebler Mach. She was married Aug. 2, 1920, in Little Rock, Ark., to Charles Joseph Ruzika, who died Nov. 29, 1980.
She was a seamstress and lived in New York until 1973, when she moved to Missouri.
Survivors include: two daughters, Jean Ruzika, Eldon, and Pauline Yaegel, Beverly Hills, Fla.; one sister, Bernice Price, Cairo; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Eldon. The Rev. James J. O'Sullivan will officiate. Burial will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens, Barnett.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon, with a rosary at 7:30 p.m.
