POETTGEN
Eugene Poettgen, 87, Freeburg, died Dec. 5, 2000, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 8, 1913, in Freeburg, a son of Joseph and Bernadine Dill Poettgen. He was married May 8, 1948, in Freeburg, to Della Schlueter, who died Aug. 12, 1987.
He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, the Holy Family Church Choir, coordinator for the Holy Family Cemetery and a member of the Holy Family School Board, all of Freeburg.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and operated Poettgen Brothers Garage, Freeburg. He was a member of the Freeburg City Council and Freeburg Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member, past commander and financial officer of the Maries Valley American Legion Post 317, Freeburg.
Survivors include one brother, John Poettgen, Freeburg, and two sisters, Augusta Cress, Lebanon, and Imelda Tegethoff, Ellisville.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church. The Rev. Mike Murphy will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna, with a rosary at 7:30 p.m., and from 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday, also at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the Holy Family Church and School.
SEALE
Songia Rose Seale, 57, Eldon, died Dec. 5, 2000, in Jefferson City.
She was born Jan. 4, 1943, in Eldon, a daughter of Raymond O. and Zella Duncan Bohrn.
She was a production worker at FASCO. She member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one daughter, Jill Simino, Eldon; one son, Jack Seale, Burbank, Ill.; five sisters, Judy Bailey, Betty Bailey and Naomi Cotten, all of Eldon, Fern Boyer, Sullivan, and Rhoda Walski, St. Peters; three brothers, Clarence Bohrn, Olean, and Bill Bohrn and Frank Bohrn, both of Eldon; and three grandsons.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
LUTTRELL
Stella B. Luttrell, 68, Iberia, died Dec. 6, 2000, at her home.
She was born July 29, 1932, in Miller County, a daughter of Walley and Cora Gumm McDowell. She was married July 7, 1951, in Iberia, to Jennings Humphrey, who died Sept. 6, 1971. She was married May 20, 1972, in Iberia, to Clint Luttrell, who died April 1, 1979.
A lifelong resident of Iberia, she was a member of Honey Springs Baptist Church near Brumley. She worked as a seamstress at L.B. Manufacturing in Iberia, retiring in 1994.
Survivors include: five sons, Donald Humphrey, Kansas City, George Humphrey, of the home, James Humphrey, Eldon, David Humphrey, Brumley, and Paul Humphrey, Iberia; three daughters, Betty Humphrey and Brenda Owens, both of Iberia, and Rose Faulkner, of the home; one sister, Ruth Luttrell, Iberia; one brother, Karl McDowell, Iberia; 31 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
One son, Ronald Ray Humphrey, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. Dennis Nichols will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Union Cemetery near Brumley.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today.

BROWN-PLATZ
Carol Ann Brown-Platz, 59, Eldon, died Dec. 6, 2000, in Jefferson City.
She was born March 1, 1941, in Kansas City, a daughter of Leonard L. and Doris Elizabeth Davis Montavy. Her mother, Doris Montavy-Souders, survives in Eldon. Her stepmother, Georgia Montavy, survives in Kansas City. She was married to Steve Platz, who survives in Eldon.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Versailles. She volunteered at Eldon Healthcare, was a volunteer Santa Claus at Eldon elementary schools, and volunteered for Friends of Special People. She was a homemaker.
Other survivors include: three sons, Bill Skoglie, Larry Skoglie and Ronnie Brown, all of Barnett; two daughters, Neena Skoglie, Rocky Mount, and Teresa Skoglie, Sunrise Beach; one stepson, Russell Platz, Sedalia; one stepdaughter, Jennifer Platz, Eldon; two brothers, Raymond LeRoy Montavy, Eldon, and Larry Lee Montavy, Gravois Mills; one sister, Nina Platz, Eldon; four stepsisters, Joyce May, Eldon, Rosemary Wilson, Stover, and Beverly Warren and Earline Barker, both of Kansas City; and 19 grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. Pastor Larry Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens, Barnett.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today.

DOLMAN
Addassa June Lewellen Dolman, 59, Columbia, formerly of Jefferson City, died Dec. 6, 2000, at Oak View Living Center.
She was born Aug. 28, 1941, in Quincy, Ill., a daughter of Homer J. and Emma Kinsin Lewellen. She was married Aug. 9, 1961, in Jefferson City, to Gene C. Dolman, who preceded her in death.
She managed and operated Dessa's Restaurant at Columbia Regional Airport. She attended Faith Baptist Church, Columbia. She moved from Jefferson City to Columbia in 1973.
Survivors include: one son, Bill Dolman, Jefferson City; one daughter, Lori Greenwood, Shawnee Mission, Kan.; one brother, Gene Lewellen, San Mateo, Calif.; one sister; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Memorial Funeral Home, Columbia. The Rev. Joe Kline will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Monday.

HERIFORD
Ronald Leo Heriford, 70, Camdenton, died Dec. 6, 2000, at his home.
He was born Nov. 1, 1930, in Princeton, a son of the Rev. Roy V. and Ina Mable Potter Heriford. He was married June 16, 1950, to May Dale Moore, who survives at the home.
He worked as a meat cutter at Country Bob's and Sav-A-Lot. He also worked in maintenance for Tan-Tar-A and Windermere resorts. He served as music and youth leader at churches in several Missouri towns, including Hermann and Camdenton. He was a member and deacon of New Home Baptist Church.
Other survivors include: two sons, Daniel Allen Heriford, Merced, Calif., and Martin Kent Heriford, St. Louis; three daughters, Twyla Marquette Breer, Rolla, Tanya Lynn Broesder, Lebanon, and Rhonda Lee Heriford, Camdenton; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
One grandson preceded him in death.
Services will be at 5 p.m. Saturday at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. The Rev. Lindell Vawter, Ronnie Capps and J.R. Reiter will officiate.
Visitation will be from 4-5 p.m. Saturday.
Memorials are suggested to the Missouri Baptist Children's Home.
STARKEY
Ella Louisa Houf Starkey, 82, Fulton, died Dec. 6, 2000, at her home.
She was born April 15, 1918, in Hatton, a daughter of Harold and Francis Layson Houf. She was married April 8, 1939, in Fulton, to Albert Lee Starkey, who died in 1990.
Survivors include: one daughter, Betty Moore, New Bloomfield; one son, Charles Starkey, Fulton; one sister, Grace Hull, Tallahassee, Fla.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
One son, Dick Starkey, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Sam Timbrook will officiate. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. today.

WALTERS
William McBride "Bill" Walters, 79, Camdenton, died Dec. 6, 2000, at his home.
He was born June 27, 1921, in Ansley, La., a son of John T. and Cora Inez McBride Walters. He was married Feb. 16, 1946, to Esther Noer Reinholdt, who survives at home.
He graduated from high school in Ruston, La., then served in the Army. He attended college at Louisiana Tech, earning a degree in accounting.
He worked as an accountant for Mobil Oil Co. in Chicago. He later transferred to Milwaukee, Wis., then to Dallas, Texas . In 1986, he retired, moving to the Lake area in 2000.
He was a member of St. George Episcopal Church, Camdenton. He was a member of Mobil Oil Retirees Association and Louisiana Tech Alumni Association.
Other survivors include: two sons, Thomas Dale Walters, Camdenton, and Paul McBride Walters, Garland, Texas ; two daughters, Ellen Gould, Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Ruth Kensinger, Garland; one brother, John S. Walters, Jacksonville, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at St. George Episcopal Church. The Rev. Tim R. Coppinger will officiate. Burial will be in Laughlin Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to St. George Episcopal Church.
SHILINSKY
Frances Shilinsky, 87, Bellmawr, N.J., died Dec. 7, 2000, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born Oct. 4, 1913, in Philadelphia, a daughter of John and Sophia Anderson Rzeczkowski. She was married Dec. 26, 1928, in Elkton, Md., to Bruno Joseph Shilinsky, who died July 8, 1999.
She was a member of Mary Mother of the Church Catholic Church, Bellmawr.
Survivors include: one son, Edward Shilinsky, Gibbsboro, N.J.; one daughter, Patricia Juliano, Iberia; one sister, Blanche Souder, Woodbury, N.J.; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Dec. 16 at Mary Mother of the Church Catholic Church. Msgr. Joseph C. Downing will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chews Landing, N.J.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. Visitation will also be from 7-9 p.m. Friday at Gardner Funeral Home, Runnemede, N.J.
