WILLIS

Roy R. Willis, 78, Macks Creek, died April 18, 1999, at his home.

He was born July 24, 1920, in Macks Creek, a son of James W. and Bessie Ann Eidson Willis. He was married June 16, 1942, in Camden County, to Leveda Ann Eidson, who survives at the home.

He was a truck driver for Scott's Concrete, Camdenton. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 433 and Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, both in Macks Creek.

Other survivors include: two sons, Jerry Willis and Keith Willis, both of Macks Creek; three daughters, Judy Riggins, Camdenton, and Ruby James and Fern Klemm, both of Macks Creek; one sister, Hazel Templeton, Macks Creek; 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

One daughter, Linda Arnold, preceded him in death.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. J.R. McGuire and the Rev. Paul Burns will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Macks Creek.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Hedges Funeral Home, Macks Creek, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m.

BORCHERS

Charles "Chuck" Borchers, 64, Gravois Mills, died April 17, 1999, at Bothwell Regional Health Center, Sedalia.

He was born Nov. 22, 1934, in Akron, Iowa, a son of Ed B. and Esther Schiefen Borchers. His mother survives in Hawarden, Iowa. He was married Dec. 27, 1955, to Sandra F. Burris, who survives at the home.

An Army veteran, he owned Tom's Distributorship in Kansas City.

Other survivors include: two sons, Jerry Borchers, Sunrise Beach, and Mitch Borchers, Moscow, Idaho; one brother, Ken Borchers, Sedan, Kan.; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Shrine of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Laurie. Monsignor Gerard Poelker will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie, with a rosary service at 8 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.

WOLFE

Graveside services for Harold Wolfe, 77, Bothell, Wash., formerly of Eldon, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Eldon City Cemetery. The Rev. Walter D. Simpson will officiate.

He died Nov. 21, 1998, at his home. The remains were cremated.

He was born Dec. 15, 1920, in Morgan County, a son of Hargett and Jennie Ellen Harvey Wolfe.

A 1938 graduate of Eldon High School, he served in the Navy until his retirement.

Survivors include: two sons, Jack Wolfe, Bothell, and Richard Wolfe, Old Station, Calif.; and one brother, Logan Wolfe, Eldon.

Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon.

BEAL

Raymond Beal, 73, Dixon, died April 19, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.

He was born March 6, 1926, in Iberia, a son of Benjamin and Eva Russell Beal. He was married Aug. 6, 1949, in Harrison, Ark., to Florence Howser, who survives at the home.

He attended Santee Community Church, Dixon. He had been employed by Brown Shoe Company, Dixon, in maintenance and as a machinist for 15 years. He worked in highway construction and as a maintenance man with the Dixon R-1 school system.

Other survivors include: two sons, Robert Beal, Linn, and Donnie Beal, Dixon; one daughter, Louise Shriner, Dixon; seven brothers, Calvin Beal, Rush Hill, Charles Beal, Crocker, Francis Beal, Palm Bay, Fla., Larry Beal, Moberly, Darrell Beal, Iowa, Clarence Beal and Roger Beal, both of  Oklahoma City, Okla.; five sisters, Lucilla Smith and Katherine Catron, both of Duluth, Ga., Dorothy Tapley, Iowa, Cora Mae Rollins, Dixon, and Anna Faye Null,  Oklahoma City; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.

Two daughters, Shirley Beal and Sheila Beal, preceded him in death.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes, Dixon. Bro. Harold Withers will officiate. Burial will be in Seaton Cemetery, Dixon.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday.

Memorials are suggested to Seaton Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund, Dixon.

NEWMAN

Eileen E. Fouts Newman, 75, Eldon, died April 19, 1999, at Miller County Nursing Home, Tuscumbia.

She was born Feb. 28, 1924, in Iberia, a daughter of Felix and Minnie Pilkington Gardner. She was married to Clarence Martin, who preceded her in death. She was married to Charles Fouts, who preceded her in death. She was married to Winford Newman, who died in September 1996.

She worked as a factory machine operator.

Survivors include: one son, John Martin, Eldon; one sister, Rena Birdsong, Granite City, Ill.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. Burial will be in Livingston Cemetery, Iberia.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday.

Memorials are suggested to Miller County Nursing Home.

PIRNER

Harold Pirner, 75, Nixa, died April 19, 1999, at St. Johns Regional Health Center.

He was born March 21, 1924, in  Jefferson City, a son of George and Amanda Kitchens Pirner. He was married Oct. 4, 1942, to Eugene "Jean" Hustedde, who survives at the home.

An Army veteran of World War II, he and his wife operated several restaurants. He moved to Springfield in 1952 where he was worked with Metropolitan Life, American National and Lincoln Liberty Life. He was associated with Springfield Catholic Credit Union for more than 20 years, serving as president since 1984.

He was a square dancer with Kountry Kousins and the Hi-Hashers. He moved to Nixa 23 years ago. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Ozark; VFW No. 1003,  Jefferson City; and American Legion Post 676, Springfield.

Other survivors include: one son, Kenneth E. Pirner, Nixa; one daughter, Theresa A. Collins, Springfield; one sister, Marie "Bea" Schwarzer,  Jefferson City; one grandson and one great-grandson.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Burial will be in Springfield National Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. today at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, Springfield, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Suggestions are suggested to the Carmelite Monastery, 424 E. Republic Road, Springfield, Mo. 65807.

PRATTE

Marguerite "Marge" Louise Pratte, 87,  Jefferson City, died April 20, 1999, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility.

She was born April 24, 1911, in Elvins, a daughter of George and Nancy Downey Thomure. She was married to James H. Pratte, who preceded her in death.

A former resident of Bonne Terre, she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bonne Terre, and the Daughters of Isabella.

Survivors include: one daughter, Lawanna Miller,  Jefferson City; one son, James Pratte, Metropolis, Ill.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bonne Terre. The Rev. John Schneider will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bonne Terre.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home, Bonne Terre.

CAHILL

Cora Irene Cahill, 98, Gravois Mills, died April 20, 1999, at Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles.

She was born June 22, 1900, in Coloma, a daughter of John A. and Ailcey Adaline Nance Key. She was married in 1921 to Otey Bowen, who died in 1936. She was married June 18, 1943, to Raymond Patrick "Pat" Cahill, who died March 5, 1990.

A resident of Carroll and Saline counties for most of her life, she co-owned and co-operated several businesses before moving to Kansas City. She moved to Gravois Mills in 1966 after her retirement.

Survivors include one daughter, Pattie Jo Calton, Barnett, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

One son, Robert E. Bowen, preceded her in death.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday.

HAYDEN

Clayborn B. Hayden, 82, Columbia, died April 20, 1999, at his home.

He was born Nov. 16, 1916, in Frankford, a son of Garrett D. and Donnie L. Watts Hayden. He was married to Marjorie J. Brothers, who survives.

He operated Hayden's IGA in Center. He also worked for Grand View-Wilkey Funeral Home in Hannibal and Center. He was a member of the board of directors of the Ralls County State Bank.

He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II and the Korean War. He was also a member of the American Legion, the Lions Club and Ralls Masonic Lodge 33 AF & AM. He was a member of Olivet Christian Church, Center.

Other survivors include: two sons, Donald B. Hayden, Park Ridge, Ill., and Charles Robert Hayden, Holts Summit; one daughter, Nancy J. Galloway, Columbia; one sister, Emmy Lou Croll, Columbia; and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Olivet Christian Church. The Rev. Drew Sutor will officiate. Burial will be in Grand View Burial Park, Hannibal.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Wilkey Funeral Home, Center, and from noon-2 p.m. Friday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Olivet Christian Church.

JENKINS

Irene J. Jenkins, 84, Ashland, died April 21, 1999, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.

She was born June 24, 1915, in Rawlins County, Kan., a daughter of John W. and Mary Pickett Ferguson. She was married in 1935, in Lincoln, Neb., to William Lee Jenkins, who died July 22, 1978.

She worked in housekeeping at St. Marys Health Center and Still Hospital until her retirement in 1985. She was a member of Ashland Baptist Church.

Survivors include: one son, Charles Jenkins, Taos; two daughters, Rita Sapp, Ashland, and Evelyn Brenneke,  Jefferson City; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Two sons, Vernon Lee Jenkins and Larry Jenkins, preceded her in death.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Robinson Funeral Home, Ashland. The Rev. Jim West will officiate. Burial will be in Hickman Masonic Cemetery, Clarksburg.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
