OSBORN
Roberta Jeanette Osborn, 84, Camdenton, died April 19, 1999, at Lake of the Ozarks General Hospital.
She was born May 28, 1914, in Gas City, Kan., a daughter of Robert S. and Jeanette E. Roberts Siens. She was married Sept. 6, 1969, in Reno, Nev., to Robert Osborn, who survives at the home.
She worked in research and development of eye lenses for Armarlite Inc., Burbank, Calif. After retiring, she moved to Camdenton in 1980. She was a member of St. George Episcopal Church, and of the Ozark Brush and Palette Club, both of Camdenton.
Other survivors include: two sons, Willard "Bud" Murray, Camdenton, and Danny Butler, Portland, Ore.; one daughter, Rochelle Ireland, Blacksburg, Va.; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Sheryl Beth Crawford and Janet Keesling, and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. George Episcopal Church. The Rev. Tim Coppinger will officiate. Burial will be in Laughlin Cemetery, Camdenton.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to St. George Episcopal Church or to the Ozark Brush and Palette Club.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home.
BEMBERGER
Angie W. Bemberger, 63, Fulton, died April 22, 1999, at Fulton Presbyterian Manor.
She was born Jan. 26, 1936, a daughter of John T. and Eva Merle Wood Wright. She was married March 3, 1957, in Fulton, to Clifford Bemberger, who survives at the home.
She graduated as valedictorian from Fulton High School in 1954. She was employed in the business office of Westminster College for 29 years. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. She was also well known as a vocalist in the area.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Terri Williams and Debi Klick, both of Fulton, and Lisa Mora, Oklahoma City, Okla.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ebenezer Baptist Church. The Rev. Steven Dull will officiate. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Maupin Funeral Home, Fulton.

CHILDS
Richard Delroy Childs, 46, Jefferson City, died April 21, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born March 9, 1953, in New Bloomfield, a son of Elmer and Lois Irene Childs Whittler. His mother survives in Jefferson City. He was married Sept. 27, 1974, in Jefferson City, to La-Verne M. "Bonnie" Smith, who survives at the home.
He attended schools in New Bloomfield and graduated from New Bloomfield High School. He worked at the Missouri Secretary of State's office as a mailroom clerk for several years and then was employed with the Missouri Department of Corrections for 22 years. At the time of his death, he was a correctional supervisor and a major at Algoa Correctional Center.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in New Bloomfield, the Missouri Correctional Officers Association and the E-Squad.
Other survivors include: three sons, Donald Fulcher, St. Louis, and Jonathan Childs and Christopher Childs, both of the home; one daughter, Salena Fulcher, of the home; four brothers, John Whittler, Crawfordville, Ind., Donald Whittler and Douglas Whittler, both of Jefferson City, and Roger Whittler, Winfield; two sisters, Patricia Prince, Columbia, and Alivia Bamber, Jefferson City; and one grandchild.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Buescher Memorial Home. The Rev. Michael Dixon and the Rev. Marion Mitchell will officiate. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday.

ENGLE
Ersa Jeffries Roark Engle, 86, Eldon, died April 21, 1999, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility, Jefferson City.
She was born June 3, 1912, in Miller County, a daughter of Robert C. and Eva George Jeffries. She was married Oct. 6, 1928, in Cole County, to William E. Roark, who died in 1971. She was married Aug. 10, 1977, in Morgan County, to James G. Engle, who died in 1979.
She was a telephone operator in Tuscumbia and Eugene for several years. She was an Avon representative for more than 20 years. She was a member of Aurora Springs Baptist Church and was a former member of Spring Valley Church, Henley.
Survivors include: two sons, Elba Roark Jr., Jefferson City, and Larry O. Roark, Eldon; six daughters, Doris Meyer, Littleton, Colo., Ella Cebra, Highland, Ind., Bonnie Goodin, Jefferson City, Eva Wood, Eldon, Mary Jane Crum, Vienna, and Ersa Maureen Edwards, Jefferson City; one stepson, Bill Engle, Eldon; 33 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Harold Dee Roark and Robert Lee Roark, and one daughter, Roberta E. Roark.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Jay Quinn and the Rev. Cellis Crum will officiate. Burial will be in Eldon City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
FURLONG
Eddie Ray Furlong, 60, Mokane, died April 21, 1999, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.
He was born May 11, 1938, in Mokane, a son of Steve A. and Mary Wood Furlong.
He worked in construction with Local No. 662, Jefferson City, retiring in 1987 after 32 years. He was a member of the Mokane Gun Club.
Survivors include: two sons, Donald Wayne Furlong and Eddie Furlong Jr., both of Fulton; one daughter, Patsy Mackley, Fulton; one sister, Ruby Jean Leaton, Fayette; two brothers, Donald Wood Furlong, Mokane, and Walter Furlong, Sturgeon; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. Bruce Williamson will officiate. Burial will be in Central Christian Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
SABEL
Dale E. Sabel, 66, Jamestown, died April 21, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born April 10, 1933, in Jamestown, a son of Samuel and Linnie McDaniel Sabel. He was married Feb. 14, 1957, in High Point, to Ruby Spencer, who survives at the home.
He was a truck driver for the Kansas City Star for 10 years. A 1951 graduate of Jamestown High School, he was a Navy veteran.
Other survivors include: one son, Jeff Sabel, of the home; and six step-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California. The Rev. Myron Couch and the Rev. John Thomas will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul's United Church of Christ Cemetery, Jamestown.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.

SCHEEL
Janet B. Scheel, 81, Linn, died April 21, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born May 20, 1917, in Linn, a daughter of William and Stella Scott Bacon. She was married July 29, 1939, in Linn, to Stanley K. Scheel, who survives at the home.
She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Linn; United Methodist Women's; OES Chapters No. 496, Jefferson City; and No. 403, Linn, Osage County Historical Association.
She was a seamstress at Bland International Shoe Co., Linn Manufacturing Co., Tweedie Footwear and Scholastic Book Company.
Other survivors include: one son, Ronald E. Scheel, Garland, Texas ; one brother, Scott Bacon, Bland; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. John's United Methodist Church. The Rev. Tony Townley will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Bland.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Morton Funeral Home, Linn, with an Order of Eastern Star service at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday at the church.

TOMBS
Zachary Taylor Tombs, infant son of Travis and Jennifer Leigh St. Germain Tombs, Camdenton, died shortly after birth April 21, 1999, at Lake of the Ozarks General Hospital, Osage Beach.
His parents survive at the home.
Other survivors include: paternal grandparents, Beach and Cathy Skinner, Gravois Mills; maternal grandmother, Cyndy St. Germain, Sunrise Beach; paternal great-grandmother, Nellie Skinner, Gravois Mills; maternal great-grandparents, George and Carol Pollock, Greenview; and great-great-grandmother, Maryann Powell, Camdenton.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie. The Rev. Jack Daniel will officiate.
TYNES
Jack Lowell Tynes, 29, Linn, died April 22, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born Nov. 22, 1969, in Jefferson City, a son of Jim and Ruth Ann Helmig Tynes. His parents survive in Linn.
He was a 1988 graduate of Linn R-2 High School and a 1990 graduate of Linn State Technical College, majoring in electronics. He was employed by Genco, DBA Chesebrough-Pond's Inc.
He was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church in Judge.
Other survivors include: two brothers, Jerry Tynes, Jefferson City, and Jeffery Tynes, Washington , D.C.; one sister, Pati Schroeder, Pleasant Hill; and his maternal grandfather, Boyd E. Helmig, Belle.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Solid Rock Baptist Church. The Rev. Perry Wolfe and the Rev. Lyle Coleman will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn.
Memorials are suggested to Solid Rock Baptist Church.
BOOKOUT
Charles Edwin Bookout, 76, Tipton, died April 22, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born Jan. 20, 1923, in Tipton, a son of Roy F. and Florence M. Lawson Bookout. His mother survives in Tipton. He was married Sept. 29, 1943, in Tipton, to Marilee Eichelberger, who survives at the home.
He was a member of Tipton American Legion 304 and was a veteran of World War II. He worked as a meat cutter at Yontz Packing Plant, Tipton.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Cheryl R. Walters, Boonville; two brothers, Bill Bookout and Donald Bookout, both of Tipton; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Meisenheimer-Griswold Funeral Home, Tipton. The Rev. J.D. Cooper will officiate. Burial will be in Tipton Masonic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.
