WALDRAM

Donald G. Waldram, 77,  Jefferson City, died Feb. 1, 2001, at his home.

He was born Nov. 11, 1923, in Bonnots Mill, a son of Nathan C. and Gladys Sting Waldram. His mother survives in  Jefferson City. He was married in 1949 to Helen Jean Hafner, who died in 1988. He was married in 1991 to Della Marie Allen, who survives at the home.

He was a 1941 graduate of  Jefferson City High School. He graduated from  Jefferson City Junior College and attended the University of Missouri-Columbia.

An Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, he was held as a prisoner of war in Austria. He retired from the Postal Service in 1979 after 33 years of employment. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church; VFW Roy Sone Post 1003; American Former Prisoners of War Stalag XVII-B; American Legion Roscoe Enloe Post 5;  Jefferson Lodge 43 A.F. & A.M.; Moolah Temple, St. Louis; and Elks Lodge 513.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Daryl Ann Eaton, Tulsa, Okla., and Donna Jean Bryce, Moberly; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home. The Rev. David Conley will officiate. Burial with full military honors will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Saturday.

Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.

BREEDLOVE

Anita Breedlove, 91, Camdenton, died Jan. 31, 2001, at Windsor Estates, Camdenton.

She was born May 21, 1909, in Fallon, Nev., a daughter of Thomas C. and Edna Roe Fulkerson Hart. She was married July 8, 1945, to Dr. Vernon Breedlove, who died Aug. 13, 1986.

She graduated from a Warrensburg high school in 1927, and received a bachelor's degree in education from Central Missouri State College. She began teaching in 1931 and taught in several communities before transferring to Camdenton in 1953. She retired in 1974. She was a member of Community Christian Church, Camdenton.

She is survived by cousins.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. The Rev. Tracy Carroll will officiate. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Warrensburg.

Memorials are suggested to Community Christian Church.

CALLIS

George Elgin Callis, 93, Boonville, formerly of  Jefferson City, died Feb. 2, 2001, at Cooper County Memorial Hospital, Boonville.

He was born Feb. 5, 1907, in Hughesville, a son of George A. and Annie Elgin Callis. He was married Oct. 24, 1930, in Fulton, to Joanah Smith Trigg, who died June 28, 1991.

He was a graduate of Hughesville High School and a 1929 graduate of Westminster College, Fulton. A lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church, he was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Boonville. He was a member of the Boonville Eagles Lodge.

He lived in  Jefferson City from 1940 until moving to Boonville in 1956. He operated Callis Stave and Heading Company, Boonville, until his retirement. He had operated various timber businesses in  Jefferson City and throughout the Midwest.

Survivors include: two sons, G. Trigg Callis, Hallsville, and James B. Callis, Sedalia; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

One son, Bruce Callis, preceded him in death.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at William Wood Funeral Home, Boonville. The Rev. Jeff Martin will officiate. Private burial will be Monday.

Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials are suggested to First Presbyterian Church, Boonville.

ELLIS

George "Deane" Ellis, 68, Sunrise Beach, died Jan. 31, 2001, at his home.

He was born Feb. 24, 1932, in Batavia, N.Y., a son of Willard "Pat" and Tacy Taylor Ellis. He was married in 1957 to Janet Lathrop, who survives at the home.

He graduated in Batavia High School and worked for Doler Dye in Batavia. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He attended Buffalo University and the Gowanda State Homeopathic Hospital School of Nursing.

Other survivors include: one son, Pat Deane Ellis, Versailles; two daughters, Susan Harris and Tacy Dee Stone, both of Versailles; and eight grandchildren.

Private services will be at a later date in New York state.

Memorials are suggested to Missouri River Hospice or Grace Lutheran Church, Versailles.

Arrangements are under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie.

NEWCOMB

Arthur Dee Newcomb, M.D., 68, Eugene, died Jan. 31, 2001, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.

He was born July 11, 1932, in Bolivar, a son of Henry A. and Nina Haskel Newcomb.

Survivors include: one son, Eric R. Newcomb Sr., Eugene; two daughters, LaVeda Sue Newcomb Whittaker and Pamela Kay Newcomb; four brothers, Vincent Newcomb, Robert Newcomb, Charles Newcomb and Paul David Newcomb; one sister; and two grandchildren.

One son, Dean Arthur Newcomb, preceded him in death.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Temple Church, Fredericktown. Pastor Carl Cureton will officiate. Burial will be in Walker Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Saturday at Follis & Sons Funeral Home, Fredericktown.

RACKERS

Anthony H. "Tony" Rackers, 83, Russellville, Ark., died Jan. 31, 2001, at Stella Manor Nursing Center.

He was born Sept. 9, 1917, in Taos, a son of Bernard J. and Anna Christine Krummen Rackers. He was married to Goldie Irene Rackers, who survives at the home.

He was a retired foreman for International Shoe Company. An Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, he was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and a former member of St. John's Men's Club.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Kathleen Austin, Russellville, Ark., and Phyllis Boswell, Lamar, Ark.; three sons, Anthony Rackers,  Jefferson City, William "Bill" Rackers, Owasso, Okla., and Michael Rackers, Germany; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Catholic Church. The Rev. Ernest Hardesty will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park.

A rosary service will be at 7 p.m. today at Shinn Funeral Service, Russellville, Ark. Visitation will follow.

Memorials are suggested to AAA Hospice, 103 West Parkway, Suite 2A, Russellville, Ark. 72801; or to St. John's Catholic Church, 1900 West Main, Russellville, Ark. 72801.

ROARK

William "Bill" George Roark, 81, Holts Summit, died Feb. 1, 2001, in  Jefferson City.

He was born May 29, 1919, in Tuscumbia, a son of Clyde and Mary Ann Rush Roark. He was married Aug. 1, 1942, in  Jefferson City, to Bernice O. Williams, who died Feb. 24, 1997.

He managed Winterwood Estates Mobile Home Park. He was a member of Osage River Antique Power Association, EDGE, and TA Branch 108.

Survivors include: four sons, Bill Roark, Rocky Mount, and Ronnie Roark, Jim Roark and Kenny Roark, all of Eldon; one sister, Lucy Sanning, Eldon; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Two grandsons preceded him in death.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. Gary Baker will officiate. Burial will be in Eugene Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to the Osage River Antique Power Association.

SCOTT

Paul D. Scott, 57, Columbia, died Feb. 1, 2001, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.

He was born Nov. 2, 1943, in Cole County, a son of Delmar and Alpha Miller Scott.

A  Jefferson City High School graduate, he was a nursing assistant. He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church, Columbia.

Survivors include three sisters, Marie Colvin,  Jefferson City, Wanda Hilgedick, Hartsburg, and Carol Bossaller, Lincoln, Neb.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California. The Rev. Bob Webb will officiate. Burial will be in Olean Cemetery, Olean.

Visitation will be from 3-4 p.m. Saturday.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association, 2600 I-70 Drive NW, Columbia, Mo. 65202.

SHACKELFORD

Services were Thursday for Georgia Shackelford, 78, Naples, Fla., formerly of  Jefferson City, who died Jan. 28, 2001, at her home.

She was born Feb. 18, 1922, in Hannibal, a daughter of William and Ollie Weeks. She was married July 28, 1942, to Gene Shackelford, who survives at the home.

She worked as a legislative secretary in the Missouri House of Representatives for 20 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in  Jefferson City, and of Community Congregation Church of Naples.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Lynda Faine,  Jefferson City; one son, Scott Shackelford, state of  Oklahoma; and four grandchildren.

One son, William Shackelford, died in 1968.

Services were at Community Congregational Church of Naples.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Naples, Fla.

Arrangements were under the direction of Johnson-Pittman Mortuary, Naples.
