CLEVELAND
Services were today for Emma Cleveland, 76, Vienna, who died Feb. 2, 2001, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 25, 1925, in Clayton, N.Y., a daughter of William and Emmalin Carbino Lawyer. She was married Oct. 6, 1944, in Punta Gorda, Fla., to A. Kenneth Cleveland, who died Jan. 20, 1974.
She worked for the Charlotte County School Board as a data entry operator from 1972-1989.
A former Punta Gorda resident, she was a member of Cleveland United Methodist Church, Punta Gorda, and the American Business Women's Association.
Survivors include: one son, William K.S. Cleveland, Mentor on the Lake, Ohio; two daughters, Mary Ann Hartman, Orlando, Fla., and Patricia Metz, Vienna; one sister, Elizabeth Griswold, Alexandria Bay, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were in Charlotte Harbor Cemetery, Charlotte Harbor, Fla.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.
POTTS
Services were Sunday for Stanley Clawson Potts Sr., 83, Tipton, who died Feb. 2, 2001, at Tipton Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Sept. 24, 1917, in Cotton, a son of Alonzo B. and Ora Dekalb Martin Potts.
He attended Cotton School and was a carpenter.
A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of Edgar Cole Post 304 American Legion, Tipton.
He served on the Tipton Fair Board and was a member of the Carpenters Union, Sedalia.
Graveside services, with military honors, were in Tipton I.O.O.F. Cemetery. The Rev. Leroy Moon officiated.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements were under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.
DUNCAN
Noel Leonard Duncan, 85, Eureka, died Feb. 8, 2001, at Des Peres Hospital, St. Louis County.
He was born Feb. 5, 1916, in Brumley, a son of George W. and Beatrice Davenport Duncan. He was married Dec. 13, 1938, in Eureka, to Pauline Jeffries, who survives at the home.
A 35-year member of Carpenters Local 2119, he was a long-term member and trustee of Lewis Methodist Memorial Chapel Church.
Other survivors include: one son, David Duncan, Arnold; two daughters, Mary Witcher, Eureka, and Martha White , Gray Summit; three brothers, Oleph Duncan and Donald Duncan, both of Brumley, and Tennyson Duncan, Eldon; one sister, Juanita Wall, Crocker; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. Roy Westbrook will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Union Cemetery, Brumley.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Saturday at Rekus Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to Lewis Methodist Memorial Chapel.
PROPST
Robert J.L. Propst Sr., 73, Jefferson City, died Feb. 8, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born March 10, 1927, in Honey Creek, a son of Richard and Hilda Brand Propst. He was married April 22, 1951, in Jefferson City, to Mary Ann Niederwimmer, who survives at the home.
He attended Immanuel Lutheran School, Honey Creek, and was an Army veteran of World War II. A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, he owned and operated Bob's Food Market from 1961 to 1991. After his retirement, he was active in the daily operation of the store.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where he served on the board of education, board of finance and the ushering staff.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Chris Roark, Jefferson City, and Pamela Ritter, Rogers, Ark.; one son, Robert J. Propst Jr., Jefferson City; two brothers, Kenneth Propst and Leroy Propst, both of Jefferson City; one sister, Dorothy Hartenstein, Jefferson City; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Jerome Brownlee will officiate. Burial, with military honors, will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Honey Creek.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Saturday at Freeman Mortuary.
Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church, Immanuel Lutheran Church or to the American Legion Sports Complex.
RILEY
Cora Riley, 89, Crocker, died Feb. 7, 2001, at Phelps County Regional Medical Center, Rolla.
She was born Sept. 15, 1911, in Lick Skillet, a daughter of Joseph and Rosie Schultz York. She was married July 3, 1931, in Waynesville, to Harlin Leslie Riley, who died Oct. 19, 1985.
A homemaker, she was a member of First Baptist Church, Swedeborg, where she was pianist and a choir member. She also was a member of the Women's Missionary Union.
Survivors include: two daughters, Shirley Jean Jones, Hartsburg, and Carolyn Powers, Springfield; nine grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Harlin Pratt Riley, who died Nov. 26, 1951, and Luther Wayne Riley, who died Jan. 18, 1995; and one infant daughter, Anna Mae Riley, who died in 1943.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Long Funeral Home, Crocker. Burial will be in Crocker Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. today, and 9-10 a.m. Saturday, at Long Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Crocker.
TRUSSELL
Glenda Rae Trussell, 57, Camdenton, died Feb. 7, 2001, at her home.
She was born Nov. 17, 1943, in Beaumont, Texas , a daughter of George and Lola Dunn Stott. She was married June 15, 1963, to Gale R. Trussell, who survives at the home.
She lived in Texas and Tennessee before returning to the Lake area. She was employed by Work Connection until her retirement in 2000. She was a member of New Home Baptist Church, and attended Camdenton First Baptist Church. She graduated from high school in Jasper, Texas .
Other survivors include: one son, Joel Trussell, Seattle; three brothers, Roy Stott, Hearne, Texas , Henry Stott, Duluth, Minn., and Jerry Stott, Jasper; and one sister, Martha Lakey, Jasper.
One infant daughter, Gina Renee Trussell, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Stringer Griffin Funeral Home, Jasper. Burial will be in Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery, Jasper.
Memorials are suggested to the Camdenton Library.
Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton.
WINN
Raymond Lester Winn, 78, Linn Creek, died Feb. 8, 2001, at Windsor Estates, Camdenton.
He was born Aug. 28, 1922, in Wichita, Kan., a son of Lester F. and Genevieve Cox Winn. He was married March 1, 1941, to Lois Thomas, who survives at the home.
He had lived in Howard, Kan., and moved to Osage Beach in 1944. He worked as a carpenter.
He was a member of Harper Chapel, Osage Beach.
Other survivors include: two sons, Tom Winn, Montreal, and Keith Winn, Camdenton; three daughters, Verna Miller, Camdenton, Ruth Porter, Columbia, and Kay Allen, Branson; seven sisters; three brothers; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. The Rev. Robert Hickman will officiate. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today, with Masonic services at 6 p.m.
WOLFE
Elizabeth Almyra Wolfe, 88, Jefferson City, died Feb. 8, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born Aug. 11, 1912, a daughter of Henry and Augusta May Breeding Wilson. She was married Aug. 27, 1936, in Jefferson City, to Carl Phillip Upschulte, who died in August 1963. She was married in June 1974, in Jefferson City, to Elmer Wolfe, who died in September 1982.
She worked at Tweedie Shoe Factory and later with the Missouri Department of Revenue.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and the Ladies Sodality. She bowled and was a bowling instructor.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
One infant daughter preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Peter Catholic Church. The Rev. Donald W. Lammers will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 5 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to St. Peter Catholic Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
FELKNER
Mabel Felkner, 92, Fulton, died Feb. 9, 2001, at Fulton Manor Care Center.
She was born Dec. 9, 1908, in Callaway County, a daughter of William and Maude Bell Dudley Calvin. She was married May 7, 1927, in Fulton, to Ovid Russell Felkner, who died Oct. 7, 1988.
She was employed in volunteer services at Fulton State Hospital. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church, Fulton.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. Bruce Williamson will officiate. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday.
