WILLMENO
Jerome M. Willmeno, 71, Jefferson City, died Feb. 20, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born April 25, 1929, in Jefferson City, a son of William "Pete" and Georgia M. Ware Willmeno.
A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, he graduated from Jefferson City High School. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was employed as a clerk with the Missouri Division of Employment Security for 40 years until retirement in 1990. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Roy Sone Post 1003.
Survivors include: two sisters, Dorothy Meyers, Highland, Ill., and Emma Hutinger, Holts Summit.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. Jim Carter will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
MEARS
Tinnie Irene Mears, 87, Jefferson City, died Feb. 20, 2001, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility.
She was born Nov. 1, 1913, in Bollinger County, a daughter of Mose E. and Annie Lou Eaker Samples. She was married Feb. 10, 1954, in Dallas, to Thomas Robert Mears, who died April 9, 1969.
She attended the Gregory School, Grassy, and was a homemaker. She was employed as a sales clerk at a St. Louis bakery and worked in an ammunition plant.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.
Survivors include: two daughters, Anna M. Devine, St. Louis, and Sandra A. Mears, Jefferson City; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
One grandson preceded her in death.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Peter Catholic Church. The Rev. Don Lammers will officiate. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Resurrection Cemetery, St. Louis.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at Buescher Memorial Home.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
FRANK
Pauline S. Frank, 82, Wardsville, died Feb. 21, 2001, at St. Joseph Home for the Aged.
She was born May 11, 1918, in Wardsville, a daughter of Charles and Sophia Vanloo Schrimpf. She was married July 31, 1945, in Wardsville, to Edward Francis Frank, who survives at St. Joseph Home.
A homemaker, she was employed with Tweedy Shoe Factory and Singer Sewing Company. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Wardsville, and the ladies sodality. She was a leader with the Wardsville 4-H Club.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Lois D. Fairchild and Wanda K. Hoelscher, both of Jefferson City; two sons, Paul E. Frank and Gary L. Frank, both of Jefferson City; one sister, Emma Dean Oberschulte, Jefferson City; one brother, Charles Schrimpf Jr., Jefferson City; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Msgr. Charles H. Patterson and the Rev. Louis E. Dorn will officiate. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Wardsville.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, St. Stanislaus Foundation or St. Joseph Home for the Aged.
DENKER
Elora J. Denker, 69, California, died Feb. 20, 2001, at University Hospital, Columbia.
She was born July 14, 1931, in Cole Camp, a daughter of Hugo and Alma Harms Schnakenberg. She was married July 9, 1955, in Cole Camp, to Robert H. Denker Sr., who survives at the home.
A homemaker, she was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where she served in the ladies aid, sang in the adult choir and taught Sunday school. She graduated from Cole Camp High School in 1949 and from Central Business College, Sedalia.
Other survivors include: one son, Robert H. Denker Jr., California; two daughters, Margaret Colletti, Wheaton, Ill., and Elizabeth Wheeler, Lee's Summit; one sister, Rosella Schnakenberg, Cole Camp; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Peter Kurowski will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery, California.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday and from 7-10:30 a.m. Saturday, both at the church.

BARNES
Hazel Barnes, 88, Sedalia, formerly of Versailles, died Feb. 20, 2001, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

MILLER
Curtis R. Miller, 81, Iberia, died Feb. 20, 2001, at Heartland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph.
He was born Nov. 30, 1919, in Iberia, a son of James and Cora L. Wall Miller. He was married May 6, 1939, in Kansas City, Kan., to Mary Laveta Stewart, who died Dec. 17, 1998.
He was a salesman with Jerry Scott-Lincoln-Mercury Dealership, Kansas City, and worked for other dealerships in the Lake Ozark area.
He attended business college in Kansas City. He was a member of the Rocky Mountain Drifters Band and the Iberia First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two sons, Gary G. Miller, Victoria, British Columbia, Vancouver Island, Canada, and Ronnie G. Miller, Stewartsville; one sister, Hazel Dawson, Pittsburgh; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. Glen Golden will officiate.
Visitation will be from 12:30-2 p.m. Sunday.
SIMMONS
Elmer Gene Simmons, 51, Columbia, died Feb. 18, 2001, in Columbia.
He was born April 6, 1949, in Fulton, a son of Arthur T. Hunter and Verneile Newsome. His mother, Verneile Jones, survives in Fulton. His stepfather, Jasper Simmons, survives in Holts Summit. He was married to Shirley Jordan, who survives in Columbia.
A graduate of Fulton High School, he attended Westminster College, Fulton. He was employed as a nurse technician at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
He attended St. Luke United Methodist Church, Columbia, where he was a communion steward and a member of the United Methodist Men's Club. He had been a resident of Columbia since 1979.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Karen Barbour Walker, state of Illinois; one stepdaughter, Eltonya Rhoades, Columbia; one stepson, Elton Rhoades Jr., Oklahoma City; six brothers, Robert D. Simmons, Columbia, William H. Simmons and James Pate, both of St. Louis, Donald R. Simmons, Chicago, and Kenneth R. Simmons and Thomas L. Simmons, both of Fulton; four sisters, Ginger K. Maddox, Evanston, Ill., Inez S. Simmons, Chicago, and Bettye J. Simmons Smith and Vesser L. Simmons, both of Fulton; two stepsisters, Nan Lou Edwards, Fulton, and Bernadette Carter, Los Angeles; and three step grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke United Methodist Church. The Rev. Raymond W. Hayes will officiate. Burial will be in Columbia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Warren Funeral Chapel, Columbia.
HAYNES
Dorothy Marie Hibdon Haynes, 66, Blue Springs, died Feb. 21, 2001, in Blue Springs.
She was born Sept. 8, 1934, in Barnett, a daughter of Orville C. and Bernice H. Wall Hibdon. She was married June 4, 1960, in Barnett, to Joel Haynes, who survives at the home.
She was previously employed at International Shoe Company. She owned and operated Haynes Machine Quilting Shop in Blue Springs. She was a member of the Eldon V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Post 2442. She was a member of Eastside Assembly of God, Eldon, and was an area manager of Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Other survivors include: one son, Gaylord Joel Haynes, of the home; two daughters, Doris Marie McIntire, Evanston, Wyo., and Wanda Kay Cooley, Vancouver, Wash.; four brothers, A.C. "Tony" Hibdon, Greenwood, Don Hibdon, Independence, Ron Hibdon, El Dorado Springs, and LeRoy Hibdon, Oakview, Calif.; one sister, Dorene Bailey, Cedar Hill; one stepdaughter, Connie Sue Ortiz, Rio Rancho, N.M.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and one step grandchild.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Beuna Huffaman will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Eldon.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday.

FIGGINS
Mildred C. Figgins, 63, Strasburg, Ill., formerly of Clarksburg, died Feb. 21, 2001, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur.
She was born May 14, 1937, in McKees Rock, Pa., a daughter of Patrick J. and Julia Mildred McMahon McGrath. She was married Jan. 14, 1956, in Bainbridge, Md., to William Eugene Figgins, who survives at the home.
She worked for Goober's in California for more than seven years. A Navy veteran, she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 289, Strasburg.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Shelbyville, Ill.
Other survivors include: two sons, William Figgins, Vandenburg AFB, Calif., and Robert Figgins, Ozark, Ark.; two daughters, Charlotte Heather, Clarksburg, and Eileen Coffelt, California; two sisters, Gemma Gogal, Harrison City, Pa., and Geraldine Prince, Bridgeville, Pa.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Shelbyville. Graveside services, with military honors, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Annunciation Catholic Cemetery, California. Msgr. Francis Gillgannon will officiate.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, with a rosary at 7:30 p.m.
