JARED
Alban Lee Jared, 19, Osage Beach, died Feb. 23, 2001, in Osage Beach, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born May 21, 1981, in Little Rock, Ark., a son of Paul S. and Sunshine Elaine Humphrey Jared. His mother and stepfather, Sunshine Elaine Jared and Ray Schuckmann, survive in the state of Louisiana.
He worked as a carpet installer for Creative Flooring. He attended Calvary Chapel Church in Osage Beach.
Other survivors include: three brothers, Cory Adam Jared, Mark Lewis Jared and Glen Charles Gauthier; one sister, Season Leigh Jared; and his fiancee, Crystal Fisher, Eldon.
Services will be at 7 p.m. today at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. Pastor Mike Duncan will officiate.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today.
CLARKE
Lois J. Clarke, 74, Jefferson City, died Oct. 4, 2000, at Hospice of Jefferson City and Mid-Missouri.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Longview Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Jefferson City and Mid-Missouri.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
HERZING
Violet B. Herzing, 73, Jefferson City, died Feb. 26, 2001, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 23, 1928, in Tebbetts, a daughter of George and Augusta Schneider Schwab.
A lifelong resident of Central Missouri, she attended school in Tebbetts. She was employed with Capital City Laundry, St. George Laundry and worked in the laundry department of Still Hospital until her retirement in 1992. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Dorothy Geminhardt, Mesa, Ariz., and Shirley Rackers, Jefferson City.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. Jerome Brownlee and the Rev. John Hobratschk will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to the Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund or the American Cancer Society.
FERGUSON
Kenneth Eugene Ferguson, 67, Versailles, died Feb. 26, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born June 21, 1934, in Kansas City, Kan., a son of Charles and Effie Stroud Ferguson. He was married to Paula McCollum, who died in 1987.
He was a police officer in Garnett, Kan.
Survivors include: one niece, Muretta Farr, Versailles; and three nephews, Frank Farr, Stover, and Donnie Snow and Mike Kohen, both of Versailles.
Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Foundation.
DEARDEUFF
James Harlan Deardeuff, 67, Meta, died Feb. 27, 2001, at his home.
He was born June 1, 1933, in Dixon, a son of Thurman and Ina Morrison Deardeuff. He was married Oct. 3, 1953, in Dixon, to Mary Gan, who survives at the home.
He graduated from Dixon High School in 1950 and worked at McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and worked for the Department of Corrections for 30 years, retiring as a major in 1987.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Judy Roberds, Meta; two sons, Wayne Deardeuff, Meta, and David Deardeuff, Henley; three sisters, Pearl Burns, Dixon, Dorothy Darden, Stafford, Texas , and Hazel Wilson, Meta; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. Ed Luebbering and the Rev. Manuel Seaton will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Dixon Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
FARROW
David Myrel Farrow, 37, Brumley, died Feb. 26, 2001, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.
He was born Jan. 31, 1964, in Iberia, a son of Walter W. and Olive Rosena Lawson Farrow. He was married in 1983 in Tuscumbia, to Debbie Phillips, who survives at the home.
He worked in maintenance for motels and hotels.
Other survivors include: two sons, Daniel Farrow and Gerald Farrow, both of the home; five brothers, Ronald Farrow, Springfield, Harold Farrow, Meta, Tommy Farrow, Iberia, Roger Farrow, Brumley, and Billy Farrow, Freeburg; one sister, Janet Halderman, Osage Beach.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. Burial will be in Duncan Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to the David Farrow Memorial Fund.
BOWERS
Jacob R. Bowers Jr., 85, Jefferson City, died Feb. 26, 2001, in Boonville.
He was born Sept. 14, 1915, in Brookfield, a son of Jacob R. Sr. and Letha M. Moore Bowers. He was married May 17, 1938, in Lexington, to Yvonne Bunton, who died June 22, 1994.
He graduated from Brookfield High School and the R.C.A. Institute of Electronics in Chicago. He worked as a communications officer with the Missouri Highway Patrol from 1938 to 1979, retiring as chief operations engineer. He was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, and the Associated Public Safety Communications Officers.
He is survived by two granddaughters, Elizabeth Webster and Janet Christopher, both of Jefferson City, and four great-grandchildren.
One son, Jacob R. Bowers III, died in 1958, and one daughter, Marilyn Jean Delong, died in 1998.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Freeman Mortuary. Millicent Schindler will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to the First Church of Christ, Scientist.
SMITH
Rita Q. Smith, 83, Eldon, died Feb. 26, 2001, in Jefferson City.
She was born July 13, 1917, in Mosell, Miss., a daughter of Eugene and Eileen Vick. She was married Feb. 9, 1945, in Harrisonville, to Marcus O. Smith, who died Sept. 21, 1995.
A wildlife artist, she was a homemaker. She lived in the Eldon area since 1969.
Survivors include: two sons, Mike Smith and William E. Pendarvis, both of Eldon; two daughters, Mary Farmer, Lee's Summit, and Rita Moulder, Camdenton; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Ruby Watts, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Jasper Hunter will officiate. Burial will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens, Barnett.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
STUDEBAKER
Glenn Noble Studebaker, 87, Jefferson City, died Feb. 27, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born Sept. 15, 1913, in Sterling, Kan., a son of Noah and Bessie Pearl Noble Stu-debaker. He was married Nov. 14, 1936, in Jefferson City, to Dora Mable Scrivner, who survives at the home.
He graduated from high school in Virgil, Kan., and attended Jefferson City Business College. He was a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service in Jefferson City for 40 years until his retirement in 1978.
He was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and Dix Road Church of Christ, where he served as an elder for 40 years.
Other survivors include: one son, Wayne Studebaker, Norfolk, Neb.; one daughter, Sue Benthall, Jefferson City; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
One grandson preceded him in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Dix Road Church of Christ. Thomas Crain will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Thursday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to Dix Road Church of Christ or to a charity of the donor's choice.
WALL
Andy Wall, 92, Crocker, died Feb. 26, 2001, at Miller County Care Center, Tuscumbia.
He was born Sept. 19, 1908, near Crocker, a son of William and Mary Bowin Wall. He was married April 28, 1937, in Rolla, to Goldie Mae Becker, who died Aug. 8, 1991.
A member of Curry Church in Iberia, he was a lifelong farmer in Pulaski County, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the M.F.A.
Survivors include: one son, Kenneth Wall, Crocker; five daughters, Wilda Leach, Crocker, Karla Tannehill, Union, Jeannie Matukewicz, Cassville, and Brenda Helton and Donna Shalbot, both of Iberia; two sisters, Lula Duncan, St. Louis, and Pauline Sheeley, Crocker; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Long Funeral Home, Crocker. Pastor Gary Rowden will officiate. Burial will be in Crocker Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today and from 1-2 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to the Miller County Care Center.

Patricia Martin, 54, Roach, died Feb. 26, 2001, at Windsor Estates Nursing Home, Camdenton.
