BURNETT
Ruth Irene Burnett, 79, Columbia, died March 2, 2001, at Boone Retirement Center, Columbia.
She was born May 17, 1921, in Hartsburg, to Walter L. and Daisy Ethel Arnold Bledsoe. She was married July 15, 1939, in Jefferson City, to Harold Thomas "Jiggs" Burnett, who died Dec. 25, 1996.
She worked at Briggs and Dailey Grocery store in the bakery department, Moberly.
Survivors include: one son, Marvin Burnett, Defiance; one daughter, Ann Drebing, Wickensburg, Ariz.; one sister, Allene Bledsoe, Columbia; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Robinson Funeral Home, Ashland. The Rev. Kenneth Peery will officiate. Burial will be in Bonds Chapel Cemetery, Hartsburg.
Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Tuesday.

BRANDT
Thelma Salmon Brandt, 90, Fulton died March 2, 2001, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
She was born May 3, 1010, in McBaine, the daughter of John Parker and Rosa Alice Sapp Salmon. She was married Dec. 24, 1932, to Eldon M. Brandt, who preceded her in death.
She was a graduate of Central Missouri State Teachers College in Warrensburg and taught school in Wright City. She was employed at Sartor Sitten Grocery Store in Fulton and worked as a bookkeeper at Callaway Bank for 32 years prior to her retirement in 1980. She was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church in Ashland.
Survivors include: two sons, Dr. Dale Brandt of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Edward Brandt of Fulton; one daughter, Rosann Brandt Lee of Eldon; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Debo Funeral Chapel in Fulton. Burial will follow in the New Liberty Cemetery in Ashland.
Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the New Liberty Primitive Baptist Church in Ashland.
CORNETT
Edna Marie Cornett, 61, Columbia, formerly of Eldon, died March 3, 2001, at her daughter's home.
She was born Feb. 18, 1940, in Little Rock, Ark., a daughter of Edward and Mamie (Howser) Sherard. She was married Sept. 22, 1956, in Versailles to Franklin J. Cornett, who died Jan. 15, 1977. She was married July 12, 1979, to Lee Jennings, who died Feb. 8, 1992.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include: two daughters, Wanda Nixon, Columbia, and Mary Reagan, Lake Ozark; four sons, Wayne Cornett, Independence, James Cornett, Eldon, Steve Cornett, Eldon; and Jesse Jennings, Columbia; one sister, Mary Pruitt, Eldon; one brother, Junior Woods, Eldon; 14 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Jessica Jennings, who died April 5, 1980. She also was preceded in death by three grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon. Burial will follow in Rocky Mount Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
LUDWIGSEN
Thomas Johnny Ludwigsen, 50, Austin, died March 1, 2001, in Austin, Texas .
He was born Nov. 21, 1950, in Manchester, England, a son of Earl G. and Frances Wells Ludwigsen. He was married to Kathleen Ludwigsen, who survives at the home.
He was a 1968 graduate of David H. Hickman High School. He served in the Air Force and he was employed by 3M, Columbia. He was later transferred to 3M in Austin.
Other survivors include: one brother, Paul Ludwigsen, Peoria, Ill.; and one sister, Susan Wright, Columbia.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home, Austin, Texas . Pastor Paul Carlson will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
OTT
Thomas S. "Tom" Ott, 65, Jefferson City, died March 3, 2001, at his home.
He was born Dec. 1, 1935, in Jefferson City, a son of Elmer and Pauline Linxwiler Ott Sr. He was married Nov. 22, 1968, to Gloria Lawrie, who died Aug. 22, 1983.
He was a 1953 graduate of Jefferson City High School and earned his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired as lieutenant commander in 1978 after 20 years.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the American Legion Roscoe Enloe Post 5 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1003.
Survivors include: one son, Michael Ott, Kirkwood; one stepdaughter, Dianne Lawrie, Morro Bay, Calif.; one brother, Louis Ott, Olathe, Kan.; and his fiancee, Alice Shamblin, Charlotte, N.C.
Services will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. The Rev. Rudolph W. Beard will officiate. Private entombment will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.

WILLIS
Leveda A. Willis, 81, Macks Creek, died March 2, 2001, in Hermitage, Missouri.
She was born Feb. 2, 1920, in Macks Creek, a daughter of Henry and Ethel Meads Eidson. She was married June 16, 1942, in Camden County to Roy Willis who died April 18, 1999.
She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Macks Creek and a homemaker.
Survivors include: two sons, Jerry Willis, Macks Creek, and Keith Willis, Macks Creek; three daughters, Judy Riggins, Camdenton, Ruby James, Macks Creek, and Fern Klemm, St. Marys, Iowa; two sisters, Freda Willis and Nadine Willis, both of Macks Creek; 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandaughter.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Arnold.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Macks Creek. Burial will follow.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Hedges Funeral Home in Macks Creek.
DOWNARD
Alice M. Downard, 71, Rocky Mount, died March 3, 2001, in Independence.
She was born July 12, 1929, in Pharr, Texas , a daughter of Hal and Kenneth Lowe Brizendine. She was married April 29, 1950, to Russell V. Downard, who survives at the home.
A homemaker, she worked at Montgomery Wards for 25 years. She was a member of the Lions Auxiliary, Rocky Mount, and the Alley Cats Bowling Team.
Other survivors include: one son, Mike Downard, Rocky Mount; three sisters, Doris Brizendine, Frances Clark and Martha Culver, all of Independence; and one granddaughter.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Fred Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Eldon City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials are suggested to the Lions Club, Rocky Mount.
LANDRUM
Betty Lou Landrum, 77, Centertown, died March 3, 2001, at Oak View Skilled Care.
She was born March 13, 1923, in Centerview, a daughter of Tim and Beulah Mae Streit Coulter. She was married Nov. 19, 1945, in Kansas City, to Lloyd S. Landrum, who died March 7, 1987.
A graduate of Centertown High School, she was a homemaker. She was a member of Centertown Baptist Church, Centertown, and Jefferson Chapter 496, Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include: one son, Tim Landrum, Centertown; one daughter, Beverley Kaye Michaels, Centertown; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
One foster son, Dennis G. Roark, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Centertown Baptist Church. The Rev. John Gorham will officiate. Burial will be in Centertown Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California.

PHILLIPS
Mildred H. Phillips, 91, Lake Ozark, died March 2, 2001, in Osage Beach.
She was born Oct. 23, 1909, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Gottlieb H. and Lusetta Hagemeyer Heidbreder. She was married April 15, 1935, to Albert Phillips, who died Dec. 14, 1963.
A resident of the Lake Ozark area for most of her life, she was a secretary. She worked for the Missouri State Workman's Compensation Commission and Stone and Webster. She was employed at the law office of James T. Blair for 10 years and worked for the superintendent of schools and the school board, School of the Osage, until her retirement.
She was a member of Lake Ozark Christian Church.
Survivors include: one son, David Phillips, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; two brothers, LeRoy Heidbreder, Holts Summit, and Richard Heidbreder, Waterloo, Iowa; two sisters, Marguerite Fraser, Duluth, Minn., and Dorothy Detert, Higginsville; and one granddaughter.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Kerry Presnell will officiate. Burial will be in Eldon City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today, and from noon-2 p.m. Tuesday.
