BOYLE

Peggy Lou Boyle, 63,  Jefferson City, died April 28, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born May 7, 1935, in St. Marys, Ohio, a daughter of Ben and Mary Schindler Worley. She was married Aug. 22, 1970, in Celina, Ohio, to Hugh Joseph Boyle, who survives at the home.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of American Legion Post 5 Auxiliary and the VFW Post Auxiliary, Celina.

Other survivors include: two sons, Roger Brewer, Lebanon, and Don Brewer, Highland Park, Mich.; five sisters, Evelyn Barnhart and Ethel Rollins, both of Van Wert, Ohio, Jo Carson, San Antonio, Texas , and Jean Thomson and Betty Flohre, both of Celina; and two granddaughters.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday.

Memorials are suggested to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.

PILGER

Jerry W. Pilger, 47, Iberia, died April 28, 1999, at Lake of the Ozarks General Hospital, Osage Beach.

He was born Oct. 17, 1951, in Alton, Ill., a son of William O. and Dolema Murial Hammers Pilger.

He worked as a department store clerk and attended First Assembly of God Church, Iberia.

Survivors include: three brothers, William Pilger, Ste. Genevieve, Patrick Pilger, Overland, and Robert Pilger, Kansas City; and five sisters, Dorothy Spurgeon, Alton, Ill., Mary Taylor, West Plains, Beverly Bowers, state of Florida, Helen Clark, Colconda, Ill., and Margaret Crump, Woodriver, Ill.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God Church, Iberia. The Rev. Jeff Higbie will officiate. Graveside services will be at 6 p.m. Saturday at Elmwood Cemetery, Litchfield, Ill.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.

RUMLEY

John H. Rumley, 67, Osage Beach, died April 28, 1999, at Lake of the Ozarks General Hospital, Osage Beach.

He was born July 21, 1931, in Knob Noster, a son of James and Mary Frances Clapper Rumley. He was married March 1, 1954, in Shenandoah, Iowa, to Dona Ott, who survives at the home.

He was a construction engineer at Pittsburgh Testing, Chicago, for 20 years until his retirement. He also served in the Army Reserve and National Guard.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Jonda Boudonck, Camdenton, and Pam Hall, Osage Beach; two sisters, Annabell Evans and Mary Newson, both of Bonner Springs, Kan.; and five grandchildren.

One grandson preceded him in death.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach. Burial will be at Lake Memorial Cemetery, Osage Beach.

SELF

The Rev. Charles DeLoyd "Loyd" Self, 79, Greenville, S.C., died April 27, 1999, at his home.

He was born June 14, 1919, in Guthrie, a son of William C. and Elda McCubbin Self. He was married to Lucille Vermillion, who survives at the home.

He was a graduate of Hannibal LaGrange College, William Jewell College, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Central Baptist Theological Seminary.

He ministered at Baptist churches in Kansas City, Kan., Coffeyville, Kan., and for 26 years at Augusta Heights Baptist, Greenville, where he was pastor emeritus.

He was on the board of visitors at William Jewell College and the general board at South Carolina Baptist Convention, where he was vice moderator and vice chair of the executive committee. He served as adjunct professor of philosophy and on the board of trustees at Furman University. He went on a preaching mission to Brazil for the Southern Baptist Foreign Mission Board in 1968.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Barbara Self Edwards, Clemmons, N.C., and Beverly Self Ingram, Fullerton, Calif.; one son, Larry W. Self, Mauldin, S.C.; three sisters, Eileen Payne, New Florence, Lois Douglas, Memphis, Tenn., and Lucille Jacobs, Columbia; one brother, Dr. William Self, San Diego; and eight grandchildren.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Augusta Heights Baptist Church, Greenville. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Memorials are suggested to Augusta Heights Baptist Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Greenville.

WHITE

Annie White , 102,  Jefferson City, died April 24, 1999, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility.

She was born Jan. 26, 1897, in Mondamin, Iowa, a daughter of William and Margaret Hunt McCracken. She was married July 25, 1918, in Eldora, Iowa, to Wellington White , who died in 1966.

She was a 1915 graduate of New Providence Academy, New Providence, Iowa.

She was a homemaker and farmed near the Bangor and Whitten areas in the state of Iowa.

A resident of Missouri since 1940, she operated a roller skating business. She had been a resident of  Jefferson City since 1966.

She was a member of Bangor-Liberty Friends Church, Union, Iowa.

Survivors include: three sons, George White , Marshalltown, Iowa, James White , Bradenton, Fla., and Levi White ,  Jefferson City; two sisters, Ruth Pippitt, Little Sioux, Iowa, and Lucy Armstrong, St. Joseph; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

One son, one grandson and two great-grandsons preceded her in death.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Biersborn Funeral Home, Union, Iowa. The Rev. Lloyd McDonald will officiate. Burial will be in Chester Cemetery, near Union, Iowa.

Visitation will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to the family.

WIEBERG

David Eugene Wieberg, 54, Columbia, died April 27, 1999, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.

He was born June 12, 1944, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, a son of Hugo and Mildred Rackers Wieberg. He was married to Barbara Carter. He was married to Arlene Talbert.

He was a member of the Catholic church.

Survivors include: one son, David Wieberg Jr., Columbia; two daughters, Candy Dixon, Brookfield, and Carmen Blaton, Indianola, Iowa; one sister, Donna Elliott, Holliday; and five grandchildren.

One grandson preceded him in death.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Rekus Funeral Home, Meta. The Rev. John Schutty will officiate. Burial will be in St. Cecilia Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday.

KLIETHERMES

Anna M. Kliethermes, 99, Linn, died April 27, 1999, at Green Meadows Health Care Center, Linn.

Arrangements are incomplete at Morton Funeral Home, Linn.

KLOPHAUS

Saline B. Klophaus, 100,  Jefferson City, died April 29, 1999, at  Jefferson City Manor Care Center.

She was born Aug. 23, 1898, near Stony Hill, a daughter of Fritz and Julia Shellhamer Klophaus.

She attended school in the Stony Hill area. She was a seamstress at a dress factory for 50 years, and also worked as a nanny, both in St. Louis. She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, New Haven.

She is survived by nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Peter's United Church of Christ. The Rev. Dale A. Staggemeier will officiate. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to St. Peter's United Church of Christ.

Arrangements are under the direction of Houser-Millard Funeral Home.

McKENZIE

Glenda Laster McKenzie, 45, Fulton, died April 28, 1999, at her home.

She was born Feb. 16, 1954, in Marshall, a daughter of Logan and Mady Hayes Laster. She was married to Dennis Heeter, who survives at the home.

She graduated in 1972 from Marshall High School.

She worked for the state of Missouri for 25 years at Marshall Habiliation Center and the Central Missouri Correctional Facility.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Stephanie McKenzie, Marshall, and Sarah Heeter, of the home; one son, Joshua Heeter, of the home; three sisters, Lois Laster and Brenda Bucci, both of Marshall, and Carmellia Jackson, Junction City, Kans.; seven brothers, Logan Laster Jr. and Fred Charles Hayes, both of Marshall, Wilson Laster, Las Vegas, Nev., Robert Laster, Denver, Bernard Laster, Aurora, Colo., Ivan Laster, Sedalia, and Ralph Laster, Moberly.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Olive Baptist Church, Marshall.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at Maupin Funeral Home, Fulton. Additional visitation will be from noon-1 p.m. at Mount Olive Baptist Church, Marshall.

Memorials are suggested to Correctional Peace Officer's Foundation, P.O. Box 34890, Sacramento, Calif., 95834-8390.

RANK

Lena M. Rank, 100,  Jefferson City, died April 29, 1999, at Heritage Park Skilled Care, Rolla.

She was born March 2, 1899, in  Jefferson City, a daughter of Martin G. and Anna Sommerer Beck. She was married June 5, 1921, in  Jefferson City, to Andrew L. Rank, who died Jan. 6, 1950.

She was a lifelong resident of  Jefferson City and a member of Faith Lutheran Church.

Survivors include: one daughter, Mary Myers, Rolla; one sister, Annetta Beck, St. Louis; one granddaughter and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Faith Lutheran Church. The Rev. Alvin Lange will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to Faith Lutheran Church or Trinity Lutheran School.
