DICKSON
Esther Dickson, 82, Tebbetts, died April 30, 1999, at her home.
She was born Dec. 9, 1916, in Jefferson City, a daughter of August Sr. and Alma Hans Marsch. She was married Sept. 19, 1936, in Jefferson City, to Albert C. Dickson, who died in 1991.
A lifelong resident of Mid-Missouri, she attended Jefferson City public schools. She was a member of Dixie Christian Church. She was a homemaker, member of Barkersville Quilting Club, Tebbetts Extension Club and Dixie Christian Womens Fellowship.
Survivors include: two sons, Jerry Dickson, Gilbert, Ariz., Rodger Dickson, Tebbetts; two daughters, Marilyn Bartley, New Bloomfield, Elaine Varnadore, Tebbetts; four brothers, Dan Marsch, Jefferson City, Chris Marsch, Arvada, Colo., Leroy Marsch, Alton, Ill. and August Marsch Jr., Jefferson City; two sisters, Margaret Perkins, Fulton, and Evalene Meyer, Mokane; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Dixie Christian Church Disciples of Christ. Parker Rossman will officiate. Burial will be in Link Cemetery, Wainwright.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Debo Funeral Home, Holts Summit, and from 1-2 p.m. Sunday at Dixie Christian Church Disciples of Christ.
Memorials are suggested to the Parkinson Disease Association.
CHRISTOPHER
Mabel Idella Christopher, 87, Fulton, died April 30, 1999, at Fulton Presbyterian Manor.
She was born March 30, 1912, in Callaway County, a daughter of George A. and Mary Elizabeth "Molly" Holmes Wilfley. She was married Jan. 21, 1928, in Jefferson City, to Guy Christopher, who died Sept. 7, 1984.
She worked at Brown Shoe Co. until she retired in 1974. She was a member of the Church of God Holiness in Fulton.
Survivors include: two sisters, Hazel McCarty, Fulton, and Goldie Brammell, Springfield; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sons: Clifford Christopher, Richard Christopher and infants Fred Lee Christopher and Glen Christopher.
Services are at 3 p.m. today at the Church of God Holiness. The Rev. Bobby Clouse, the Rev. I.C. Holland and Bruce Williamson will officiate. Burial will be in Central Christian Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. today at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the Church of God Holiness or Fulton Presbyterian Manor.
Arrangements are under the direction of Debo Funeral Home, Fulton.
DALTON
Kathryn Dalton, 72, Russellville, died April 30, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born July 17, 1926, in St. Cloud, Minn., a daughter of the Rev. Opie S. and Clarice Knudson Rindahl. She was married July 31, 1949, in Bismarck, N.D., to James Poage Rusk Dalton, who survives at the home.
She was a graduate of Bismarck High School and St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Rebecca Dalton, Minneapolis, Andrea Rau, Washington , Mo., and Bridget Dalton, Gillette, Wyo.; one son, Christopher Dalton, Russellville; one sister, Jennifer Churchill, Camarillo, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lohman.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. at the church.
Memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Building Fund.
Arrangements are under the direction of Houser-Millard Funeral Directors.
HENDRICKS
Neva Hendricks, 95, Eldon, died May 1, 1999, at Eldon Healthcare Center.
She was born April 8, 1904, in Truesdale, Iowa, a daughter of Herbert and Laura Hamm Martine. She was married June 22, 1940, in Brumley, to Alton Hendricks, who died May 24, 1981.
She graduated from Merrill, Iowa, High School, and attended Buena Vista College and Iowa State Teachers College. She worked as a secretary for the Miller County Extension Office, Olean Milling Co. and Eldon High School.
She was a member of Olean Baptist Church and taught Sunday school.
Survivors include: three daughters, Mary Shepherd and Myrna Johnson, both of Eldon, and Margaret Adams, Stanley, Kan.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Dennis Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Olean Cemetery, Olean.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials are suggested to Olean Baptist Church.
GRIMWOOD
Terra Jean Grimwood, infant daughter of David and Nicole Kessler Grimwood, Tuscumbia, was stillborn May 1, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
Her parents survive at the home.
Other survivors include: one brother, Nicholas Grimwood, of the home; maternal grandparents, Bill and Beulah Kessler, Tuscumbia; paternal grandfather, Carl Grimwood, House Springs, and paternal grandmother Jo Blackburn, Chesterfield.
Graveside services will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Zion Cemetery, near Tuscumbia. The Rev. Mark Kessler will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to Ulman Baptist Church Building Fund.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia.
HUGHES
Woodrow Clark Hughes, 81, Fulton, died May 2, 1999, in Fulton.
He was born Nov. 9, 1917, a son of William C. and Ethel Underwood Hughes. He was married May 19, 1946, in St. Charles, to Evelyn Myers, who survives at the home.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and a lifetime member of the VFW. He retired in 1975 from Auxvasse Stone and Gravel.
Others survivors include: two sons, David Hughes, Steedman, and Bill Hughes, Fulton; three brothers, Allen Hughes, Onley, Paul Hughes, Ontario, Calif., and Harry Hughes, Fulton; two sisters, Iva Cashion and Eugenia Belton, both of Fulton; four grandchildren; three step grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Bruce Williamson will officiate.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the Heart Association.
SCHOWENGERDT
Services were today for Eveline C. Schowengerdt, 79, Morrison, who died May 1, 1999, at Frene Valley Geriatric & Rehabilitation Center, Hermann.
She was born Feb. 28, 1920, in Flat River, a daughter of Harry and Ida Frey Layne. She was married to William Bockting, who preceded her in death. She was married Dec. 29, 1951, in Hermann, to Raymond Schowengerdt, who preceded her in death.
She was a member of St. James United Church of Christ, Morrison, and the Women's Fellowship of the church. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include: six sons, William Bockting and Steve Bockting, both of Hermann, the Rev. Darryl Bockting, Burlington, Iowa, Allen Bockting, Covina, Calif., David Bockting, New Haven, and Robert Schowengerdt, Chamois; three daughters, Nancy Dillahunt, Morrison, Janet Henderson, Jefferson City, and Ruth Rudroff, Linn; 26 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were in Good Hope Cemetery, Morrison. The Rev. Bruce Edwards and the Rev. Jeannie Webb officiated.
Memorials are suggested to St. James United Church of Christ.
Arrangements were under the direction of Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann.
JENKINS
Marian Earlene Jenkins, 76, California, died May 3, 1999, at California Care Center.
She was born Aug. 14, 1922, in California, a daughter of Wardley and Maude Senior Francis. She was married June 28, 1948, in California, to Harold Jenkins, who survives at the home.
She attended Norman School and worked as a floor lady at California Manufacturing until her retirement.
After her retirement, she worked in production at Show-Me Jacket.
She was a member of Russellville Baptist Church and a past member of Friendship Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher, church organist and pianist.
Other survivors include: two brothers, John Francis and Dale Francis, both of California; and three sisters, Norma Oesterly and Gloria Crawford, both of California, and Viola Papen, High Point.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California. The Rev. David Tolliver and Mark George will officiate. Burial will be in California City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Thursday.

LADEMANN
Anna Marie Lademann, 80, California, died May 3, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born Jan. 6, 1919, in Moniteau County, a daughter of Leonard and Etta Belle Bolin Bilyeu. She was married Dec. 19, 1937, in California, to Arthur O. Lademann, who died Nov. 29, 1990.
She attended Norman School. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church, California, and St. Pauls Seniors.
Survivors include: one son, Dennis Lademann, Columbia; one daughter, Betty Hays, California; two brothers, Gerald "Lee" Bilyeu and Dale Bilyeu, both of California; nine sisters, Melva Eveland and Brenda Burton, both of Camdenton, Frances Lowe, Raytown, Helen Martinez, Grandview, Blanche Bishop, Kansas City, Elnora Barbour, Russellville, Donna Moore, Appleton City, Dorthy Rescinito, Wilmington, Del., and Delores Bilyeu, Wiesbaden, Germany; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Flossie A. Bilyeu.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Pauls Lutheran Church. Peter Kurowski will officiate. Burial will be in California City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California.
