TACKETT

Lottie Tackett, 74, Vienna, died March 23, 2001, at Phelps County Regional Medical Center, Rolla.

She was born July 16, 1926, in Maries County, a daughter of Lyle and Maude Sudheimer Terwilliger. She was married Dec. 14, 1926, in Vienna, to Wayne "Jay" Tackett, who survives at the home.

She was a member of the Vienna United Methodist Church. She was employed with Langenberg Hat Company, Vienna, until retirement in 1985.

Other survivors include: one son, Dennis Tackett, Russellville; one daughter, Sharon Bramlett, Newburg; one sister, Barbara Ellen Duke, Belle; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Vienna United Methodist Church. The Rev. Karen Alden will officiate. Burial will be in Vienna Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:30-8 p.m. Monday and from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to the Building Fund of the Vienna United Methodist Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.

MONROE

Neva D. Monroe, 76, Linn, died March 23, 2001, at  Jefferson City Manor Care Center.

She was born Dec. 12, 1924, in Chamois, a daughter of Melisa Clark Picc. She was married to Howard Tom Monroe, who died June 7, 1982.

She worked for the garment factories in Chamois and Linn and later worked for Linn Manufacturing. She was a member of Community Christian Church, Linn.

Survivors include: two sons, Delmar Monroe,  Jefferson City, and Daniel Monroe, Linn; one daughter, Deborah Hudson, Cuba; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

One daughter, Virginia Turner, preceded her in death.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Morton Funeral Home Chapel, Linn. Pastor John Tarbet will officiate. Burial will be in  Oklahoma Church of Christ Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.

JACOBS

Ellen M. Jacobs, 90, Eldon, died March 23, 2001, in Eldon.

She was born Jan. 5, 1911 in Eugene, a daughter of George and Anna Bell Norfleet. She was married March 21, 1946, in  Jefferson City, to Edward F. Jacobs, who died March 2, 1976.

A homemaker, she was a long-time resident of Eldon and a member of Bethany Lutheran Church.

Survivors include: one daughter, JoAnn Blaylock, Parker, Colo.; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Stephen Riordan will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Garden Cemetery, Eugene.

Memorials are suggested to Bethany Lutheran Church, Eldon, Mo.

HOWARD

Kenneth F. Howard, 58, California, died March 23, 2001, at Moniteau Care Center, California.

He was born Aug. 3, 1942, in Cooper County, a son of Jesse F. and Edna Elizabeth Wolfrum Howard. He was married May 31, 1980, in California, to Connie Volkart Koetting, who survives at the home.

He was a truck driver for 30 years for MFA Bulk Plant and Anderson Trucking had been employed at Beaufort Transfer. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 833,  Jefferson City, California United Methodist Church, California, and the California Country Club.

He attended Tipton High School and served in the Marines.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Monica Hamilton, California; two sons, Bryan Koetting, California, and Blake Koetting, Poplar Bluff; four brothers, Donald Howard, Sedalia, Harold Howard and Wayne Howard, both of California, and Norman Howard, Tipton; two sisters, Ruby Allee, Tipton, and Virginia Kirchhoff, California; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at California United Methodist Church. The Rev. Carol Koenig and the Rev. John Kerr will officiate. Burial will in California City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the church.

Memorials are suggested to California United Methodist Church, 201 South Oak Street, California, Mo. 65018 or a charity of the donor's choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California.

HOERSCHGEN

Francis L. Hoerschgen, 76,  Jefferson City, died March 23, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born March 23, 2001, in Osage County, a son of Anton and Othelia Schmitz Hoerschgen. He was born March 2, 1950, in  Jefferson City, to Edna Mae Connell, who survives at the home.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was employed by the Department of Corrections and the City of  Jefferson until retirement in 1985. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.

Other survivors include: six sons, Donnie E. Hoerschgen, Wayne A. Hoerschgen, Jerry L. Hoerschgen, Dan G. Hoerschgen, Randolph W. Hoerschgen and Glen J. Hoerschgen, all of  Jefferson City; one daughter, Mary K. Davis,  Jefferson City; two brothers, Wilfred Hoerschgen, Bonnots Mill, and Lester Hoerschgen, Loose Creek; one sister, Bernice Davis, Fulton; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church, Loose Creek. The Rev. Father Greg Higley will officiate. Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery, Loose Creek.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.

GRAHAM

Marilynn T. Graham, 68, Syracuse, died March 23, 2001, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital.

She was born July 28, 1932, in St. Louis, a daughter of William and Marie McLaughlin Porter. She was married Oct. 17, 1953, to Don J. Graham, who survives at the home.

A graduate of St. Joseph Academy, St. Louis, she lived in Syracuse for the past 13 years after residing in St. Louis. She was a Catholic and formerly attended St. Andrew's Church, Tipton. She attended St. Philip Benizi Church, Versailles.

Other survivors include: one son, Tom Graham, Witchita, Kan.; three daughters, Mary Kiesling, Columbia, Susan Woehrman, Kansas City, and Marilyn Mayberry, Olathe, Kan.; one sister, Joan Weimer, Baldwin; one brother, Don Porter, Rancho Murieta, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. April 7 at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church, Versailles.

Memorials are suggested to Little Sisters of the Poor in St. Louis, Mo.

DICKSON

Richard "Glenn" Dickson, 76, Fulton, died March 23, 2001, at Callaway Community Hospital, Fulton.

He was born Sept. 28, 1924, a son of Richard and Helen Dickson. He was married to Sharon Diehl, who survives at the home.

He served in the military during World War II. He retired from Daniel International. He played the saxophone in the Kansas City area and later with bands in the Central Missouri area, including the Glenn Dickson Combo and the Callaway County Combo.

He was a life-time member of the V.F.W. Post 2567, a member of the American Legion Roscoe Enloe Post 5,  Jefferson City. He was the Past Worthy President of the Eagles Lodge,  Jefferson City, Aerie 2693; a 50 year member of the A.F. & A.M. Masonic Lodge, Mokane; a life member of the Federation of Musicians and the St. Louis Jazz Club. He was a member of the Fairview Church of Christ, Linn.

Other survivors include: one son Stephen Dickson, New York; one daughter, Alesha Verdict, Maryland; a stepmother, Veta Dickson, Fulton; two sisters, Dorothy Michaelis, Decatur, Ga., and Jo Hord, Riverside, Calif.; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Maupin Funeral Home, Fulton. Eric Braman and Phil Lyon will officiate. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Fulton.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today with A Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the V.F.W. Post 2657.

DUNAVANT

L.P. "Les" Dunavant, 80,  Jefferson City, died March 24, 2001, at his home.

He was born Feb. 12, 1921, in Mexico, a son of Thomas E. and Mamie Stevens Dunavant. He was married April 5, 1946, in San Bernardino, Calif., to Shirley M. Stott, who survives at the home.

He was a graduate of Mexico High School and an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. A resident of the  Jefferson City area since 1958, he was employed by Missouri Power and Light Co. from 1953 until his retirement in 1982.

Other survivors include: two sons, Greg B. Dunavant, Atlanta, Ga., and David A. Dunavant, Chesterfield; two daughters, Nancy J. King, Weatherby Lake, and Kathy Jester, Springfield; and eight grandchildren.

Private services will be held Tuesday at Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. L. Kyle Hern will officiate. Private entombment will be in the mausoleum at Riverview Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.

GEMEINHARDT

Bessie B. Gemeinhardt, 97, Lohman, died March 25, 2001, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Feb. 25, 1904, in Elston, a daughter of Henry and Anna Linhardt Knernschield. She was married Sept. 21, 1922, to Christian W. Gemeinhardt, who died Nov. 1, 1975.

She attended school in Elston and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Lohman, where she was active in the Ladies Aid.

Survivors include: one son, Virgil Gemeinhardt, Springfield; one daughter, Jenetia Gibler,  Jefferson City; one brother, Elmer Gemeinhardt,  Jefferson City; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

One granddaughter preceded her in death.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Carl Gauck will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Lohman.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Russellville.

Memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, St. Paul's Lutheran Perpetual Cemetery or to a charity of the donor's choice.
