KEETH
Leona Keeth, 81, Iberia, died April 2, 2001, at St. Elizabeth Care Center.
She was born Oct. 27, 1919, near Iberia, a daughter of Leonard C. and Bessie Beal Osborn. She was married April 22, 1946, in Phelps County, to Olie Rayford Keeth, who died March 13, 2000.
A lifelong resident of Iberia, she was a homemaker. She was a member of Iberia Church of Christ and Iberia American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 105.
Survivors include: two sons, Johnny Keeth and Earl Whittle, both of Iberia; one daughter, Nancy Baker, Iberia; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. Gene Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Iberia.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Elizabeth Care Center.
PAYTON
Virginia Ruth Payton, 85, Fulton, died April 2, 2001, at Riverview Nursing Home, Mokane.
She was born July 1, 1915, in Hannibal, a daughter of Jess S. and Mary E. Bishop Woodson. She was married March 16, 1940, in Palmyra, to John Ferguson Payton, who died Oct. 10, 1999.
She worked as a nurse at Fulton State Hospital.
She is survived by one sister, Mary Kennedy, Hannibal, and one brother, Otis Woodson, Hannibal.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. Pastor Mike Crowson will officiate. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to Augusta Cemetery.
KECK
Dean E. Keck, 69, Eldon, died April 1, 2001, at Osage Beach Health Care Center.
He was born Sept. 6, 1931, in Liberty, Neb., a son of Casper and Ida Webber Keck. He was married Nov. 17, 1951, in Vancouver, B.C., to Viola M. Chase, who survives in Eldon.
He was a member of New Life Assembly of God Church in Barnett. He worked as a mechanic for various automobile dealerships. A Navy veteran, he was a member of the American Legion Post in Jefferson City.
Other survivors include: one son, Dennis Keck, Eldon; four daughters, Donna Lexa, Eldon, and Diane Keck, Deanna Cook and Dawn Haugh, all of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, Duane Keck, St. Mary's, Fla., and Daryl Keck, Boise, Idaho; four sisters, Dorothy Griffe, Marysville, Kan., Delores Varland, Aurora, Ill., Donna Axelton, North Bend, Ore., and Marie Beck, Butler; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at New Life Assembly of God Church. Pastor Ken Wagner will officiate. Inurnment will be in Big Rock Cemetery, Barnett.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach.
McDANIEL
Elva Mae McDaniel, 90, Owensville, died April 2, 2001, at Gasconade Manor Nursing Home, Owensville.
She was born April 16, 1910, in Bland, a daughter of Edwin and Margaret Brown Crider. She was married April 21, 1928, in Union, to Roy Laughlin McDaniel, who died May 10, 1994.
A former Linn resident, she was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church and the McDaniel Extension Club, both of Linn, and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include: two sons, Kenneth McDaniel, Linn, and Gary McDaniel, Stockton, Calif.; two daughters, Vera Jean Whattam, Richland, Wash., and Betty Tilson, Columbia; one brother, Carl Eugene Crider, Rolla; one sister, Ruth Schell, Rolla; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
One son, James Richard McDaniel, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn. The Rev. Tony Townley will officiate. Burial will be in Linn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
NEWMANN
Bonnie Jean Tellman Newmann, 70, Hoffman Estates, Ill., formerly of Eugene, died March 31, 2001, in Hoffman Estates.
She was born July 6, 1930, in Kansas City, a daughter of Frank and Cyrilla Margaret Iven Tellman. She was married Sept. 30, 1950, in Mary's Home, to Ralph J. Newmann, who survives at the home.
She was a homemaker. She was a resident of the St. Louis area until 1968, when she moved to Hoffman Estates.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Deborah Klein, Columbus, Ohio, and Lisa Beth Kosmas, Carpentersville, Ill.; one son, Richard Newmann, Chino Hills, Calif.; three sisters, Jacqueline Newmann, Crestwood, Wanita Bublis, St. Louis, and Loretta "Candy" Colvin, Washington ; four brothers, Donald Tellman, Morgan City, La., Roger Tellman and Russell "Butch" Tellman, both of Eugene, and Michael Tellman, Towanda, Ill.; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, Mary's Home. The Rev. Clarence Wiederholt will officiate. Burial will be in Our Lady of the Snows Cemetery, Eugene.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.

ANDERSON
John Albert Anderson, 94, Fortuna, died April 2, 2001, at Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles.
He was born May 17, 1906, in Woodlake, Neb., a son of John A. and Alice Bassford Anderson. He was married May 23, 1931, in Baynard, Neb., to Blanche Gartman, who died Oct. 24, 1998.
He farmed in Nebraska until 1954, when he moved to Fortuna. He continued farming until he retired in 1972. He was a member of Glensted Methodist Church and Fortuna Senior Citizens.
Survivors include: three sons, Gene Anderson, Fortuna, Dwayne Anderson, Tipton, and John Edward Anderson, Mobile, Ala.; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Glensted Church. Burial will be in Glensted Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.
Memorials are suggested to Glensted Church.
NACY
Joan M. Nacy, 68, Jefferson City, died April 4, 2001, at her home.
She was born Oct. 19, 1932, in Franklin, a daughter of Alex C. and Fronie Veltrop Lauf. She was married Dec. 27, 1952, in Jefferson City, to Robert P. "Pat" Nacy, who died Aug. 4, 1978.
A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, she was a 1950 graduate of St. Peters School. She was employed as a bookkeeper with the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives for 34 years until her retirement in 1997.
She helped establish the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives Credit Union. She was a member of St. Peters Church and volunteered with Meals on Wheels.
Survivors include: two daughters, Margo Smith, Warrensburg, and Karen Goodchild, Cary, N.C.; one son, Pete Nacy, Holts Summit; three sisters, Kathleen Kuttenkuler, Jefferson City, Rita May, Cuba, and Leah Schwartz, Maplewood; one brother, Harold Lauf, Wardsville; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
One son, Timmy Nacy, and three daughters, Mary Nacy, Angela Nacy and Catherine Nacy, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Peters Church. The Rev. Rob Fields will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Freeman Mortuary, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Peters Church Building Fund.
TURNER
Daniel O. Turner, 46, Kansas City, formerly of Tuscumbia, died April 1, 2001, at his home.
He was born May 18, 1954, in Tuscumbia, a son of Ovid W. and Alice M. Turner.
He was a truck driver. He worked for O'Brien Walls & Partitions for 21 years and currently was employed by Werner Enterprises.
He is survived by one sister, Norma L. Jones, Lee's Summit.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Jasper Hunter will officiate. Burial will be in Eugene Cemetery, Eugene.
Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Saturday.
