ALLEE

Clara Louise Allee, 85, California, died April 7, 2001, at Moniteau Care Center, California.

She was born Feb. 24, 1916, in Cooper County, a daughter of Henry and May Hickman Lachner. She was married Aug. 11, 1935, in Russellville, to Cleve Allee, who survives in California.

She attended Independence School, near Clarksburg.

A homemaker, she worked as a seamstress for California Manufacturing until her retirement.

She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, near California.

Other survivors include: two sons, Bill Allee, Shelbina, and Jerry Allee, Old Monroe; one daughter, Sharron Schneiders,  Jefferson City; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California. The Rev. Greg Morrow will officiate. Burial will be in California City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorials are suggested to Community Hospice of America, 3600 I-70 Drive SE, Columbia, Mo. 65201.

BINKLEY

Bill G. Binkley Sr., 59, Eugene, died April 8, 2001, in  Jefferson City.

He was born April 27, 1941, in Cole County, a son of Mark and Evelyn Wallis Binkley. His parents survive in Eugene. He was married June 23, 1958, in Eugene, to Katherine Rose Ekstam, who survives at the home.

He was a member of Eugene Christian Church. A Navy veteran, he was a salesman with Galva-Foam Inc. until his retirement.

Other survivors include: two sons, Bill Binkley Jr.,  Jefferson City, and Kevin Binkley, Eugene; three daughters, Carmen Lepper and Lita Hood, both of  Jefferson City, and Merritt Mosley, Columbia; two brothers, Dennis Binkley, Odessa, and Gail Binkley, Loose Creek; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandsons.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Eugene Christian Church. The Rev. Alan McNeely will officiate.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to Show-Me Christian Youth Home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon.

HAGGARD

Jesse W. Haggard, 70,  Jefferson City, died April 7, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born Sept. 25, 1930, in Carrollton, Ky. He was married June 8, 1956, in Columbus, Ga., to Carol J. Cartwright, who died Oct. 26, 1999.

An Army veteran of the Korean War, he lived in the  Jefferson City area since 1986.

He worked as a corrections officer with the Missouri Department of Corrections until his retirement in 1991.

Survivors include: six daughters, Jeannie M. Altom, Holts Summit, Ellen S. Haggard, Cindy J. Theissen and Amanda Theissen, all of  Jefferson City, Teresa L. Paluch, Rockville, Md., and Diane L. Drury, Blue Springs; one son, Jesse W. Haggard Jr., Dover, Del.; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Private entombment will be Wednesday in the mausoleum of Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Freeman Mortuary.

HARRISON

Kathryn Lucille Harrison, 61, Fulton, died April 7, 2001, at her home.

She was born June 30, 1939, in Steedman, a daughter of Harry M. and Georgia L. Martin. She was married April 16, 1959, in Moncks, S.C., to Robert Frank Harrison, who survives at the home.

She was employed as a rural carrier with the U.S. Postal Service for 20 years.

She was a member of the Eagle Fleet RV Travel Club, Eagle Travelers, Arch Eagles and Cardinal Wing Club.

Other survivors include: two sons, Bobby Dean Harrison, Millersburg, and Ronald Wayne Harrison, Fulton; one daughter, Pamela Kay Dye, Fulton; three sisters, Mildred Adams, Fulton, Peggy Benson, Steedman, and Betty Thurman, Mokane; one brother, James Martin, Fulton; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Weldon Foreman will officiate. Entombment will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Fulton.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

LANG

Oma Geneva Lang, 95, Centertown, died April 7, 2001, at St. Joseph's Home for the Aged.

She was born Jan. 15, 1906, in Merna, Neb., a daughter of Homer J. and Rachel Amanda Kennedy Yeck. She was married July 5, 1924, in Union, to James Gilman Lang, who preceded her in death.

She was a resident of Ozark, Ark., for 40 years, before moving to Centertown.

Survivors include one son, Duane Lang, Centertown, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Cliff Cemetery, Merna.

Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Houser-Millard Funeral Home.

LUEBBERT

Donald Joseph "Butch" Luebbert, 61,  Jefferson City, died April 8, 2001, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility.

He was born Jan. 14, 1940, in  Jefferson City, a son of Phil and Catherine Brandel Luebbert. His stepmother, Milirene Luebbert, survives in  Jefferson City. He was married Aug. 22, 1970, in Westphalia, to Elaine R. Schauwecker, who survives at the home.

He served with the National Guard. He was employed as a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service and was a clerk at the Missouri State Highway Patrol. He was an account manager at Riback Supply Company Inc. of Columbia, and an accountant at  Jefferson City Oil Co.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and the Holy Name Society. He was financial secretary of Knights of Columbus Council 1054, where he was a member of the third and fourth degree.

Other survivors include: one son, Donald J. "D.J." Luebbert,  Jefferson City; one sister, Sr. Nadine Luebbert, C.C.V.I., San Antonio, Texas ; and two brothers, Sam Luebbert, Manassas, Va., and Phil Luebbert,  Jefferson City.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. Gregory L. Higley will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to Capital Projects Inc., 2001 E. McCarty St.,  Jefferson City, Mo. 65101; or to a charity of the donor's choice.

SAPP

Mary Frances Sapp, 90, Ashland, died April 7, 2001, at Ashland Health Care, Ashland.

She was born Feb. 24, 1911, in Hartsburg, a daughter of Gilbert U. and Nora Nellie Richardson Bennett. She was married June 11, 1928, in Columbia, to Hulen "Pappy" Sapp, who died April 26, 1993.

She was employed with Tweedie shoe factory in  Jefferson City for 20 years. She retired in 1981 from Stephens College, where she had worked in the dining hall.

Survivors include: one son, Billy Joe Sapp, Ashland; one sister, Jean Wren, Hartsburg; four grandsons; six great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Robinson Funeral Home, Ashland. Wallace Johnson and Johnnie Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in New Liberty Cemetery, Ashland.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday.

Memorials are suggested to New Liberty Cemetery, Palis Nichols Rd., Ashland.

STRANG

Anne Strang, 60, Mount Sterling, died April 7, 2001, at her home.

She was born May 6, 1940, in Toledo, Ohio, a daughter of Thad and Joan Childress Franks. She was married June 10, 1960, in Michigan, to Ronald N. Strang, who survives at the home.

She worked at the St. Louis County Library as a librarian and story lady. She was a member and affiliated with the Girl Scouts of Greater St. Louis.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Susan Ing and Shelley Boyster, both of Fenton; one brother, Jim Franks, Germany; and three grandchildren.

Private family services will be held. The remains were cremated.

Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. April 16, 2001, at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home, Fenton.

Memorials are suggested to the St. Louis County Library Foundation.

Local arrangements are under the direction of Morton Funeral Home, Linn.
