Norman Lee Kirby, 70, Roach, died April 12, 2001, at his home.

Arrangements are incomplete at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton.

LERMAYER

Christina Lermayer, 81, Sunrise Beach, died April 13, 2001, at her home.

Arrangements are incomplete at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.

WILSON

Ruth Morse Wilson, 96,  Jefferson City, died April 16, 2001, in Omaha, Neb.

She was born July 17, 1904, in Hannibal, a daughter of Charles and Jennie Morse. She was married Sept. 16, 1929, in Brighton, Colo., to James Frederick Wheeler, who died Jan. 27, 1932. She was married Dec. 20, 1941, to Dean Wilson, who died Dec. 3, 1981.

She attended public school in Hannibal. A music major, she attended Stetson University, Delan, Fla., and Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill. She also took courses at the University of Missouri-Columbia and conducted piano studios in Hannibal, Palmyra and  Louisiana.

She was a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church and was active in the music department. She was a Girl Scout commissioner and served six years on the Hannibal board for Girl Scouts. She also was a member of Girls' Town of Missouri, Kingdom City.

She has been a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs since 1932 and was an office holder in the Hannibal club and the Third District. After moving to  Jefferson City, she organized  Jefferson City's first GFWC in 1953 and the Capital City Woman's Club in 1956. She was on the Missouri Federation of Women's Clubs board for more than 20 years.

She was a life member of the National Federation of Music Clubs and served as a club ambassador on the 1972 People-to-People Tour of Belgium, England, the Soviet Union and France. She was a member and officer of the Morning Music Club of  Jefferson City.

She was a member and officer of numerous state and national music clubs and was vice-coordinator of Missouri's Bicentennial "Parade of American Music" in 1976 in Washington , D.C. She was a member and officer of Inspiration Point Fine Arts Colony, Inc., Eureka Springs, Ark., and the  Jefferson City Community Concert Association.

She was a founding member of the Missouri State Council on the Arts and was on the advisory board. She was a founding member and board member of the Capital City Council on the Arts. She received the AAUW's Woman of Achievement Award for Creative Achievement in 1972.

She was a life member of Memorial Community Hospital Auxiliary, the Genealogical Society, the Morse Society, Missouri Historical Society, Cole County Historical Society, Community and Industrial Leaders, the YMCA, United Methodist Women, Rebekah Circle, Hannibal Country Club and Meadowlake Country Club.

Survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. Robert L. Donahoo, Omaha; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Kenneth Perkins, Richardson, Texas ; two grandchildren, four step grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and six step great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Private family burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hannibal.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday.

Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church or a charity of the donor's choice.

COLLINS

Fred "Sonny" Collins Jr., 57, Camdenton, died April 17, 2001, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.

He was born March 23, 1944, in St. Louis, a son of Fred Sr. and Nona Collins.

He worked most of his life in building construction. He was a Christian.

Survivors include: two sons, Kelly Collins, state of California, and George Edward Weeks, Camdenton; two daughters, Carrie Weeks and Tammy Grover, both of Camdenton; two brothers, Gene Bryant, Belton, and Leroy Mitchell, state of Maine; and nine grandchildren.

One grandson preceded him in death.

Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton.

MORRIS

Ruby Marie Morris, 75, Sunrise Beach, died April 17, 2001, at Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles.

Arrangements are pending at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie.

WILLIAMS

Lorraine S. Williams, 90,  Jefferson City, died April 18, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.

She was born Aug. 20, 1910, in Lake Charles, La. She was married in Galveston, Texas , to Mansell C. Williams, who died in 1967.

She attended school in Lake Charles. She was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons. A homemaker, she was employed as a hotel clerk, hotel receptionist and boarding house manager.

Survivors include three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.

One son, Mansell "Pete" Williams, died in 1991 and one daughter, Dixie Jo Amburn, died Aug. 24, 1999.

Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery, Morrison.

Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.

Arrangements are under the direction of Buescher Memorial Home.

YOUNT

Lena McCollom Yount, 65, Versailles, died April 16, 2001, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility.

She was born May 28, 1935, in Stover, a daughter of Thomas H. and Dessie May Duffer McCollom.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include: one son, Kenneth F. Yount, Richland; five daughters, Poeeyezettia Hutcheson, Warrensburg, Lucy Franklin, Versailles, RoseAnn Yount, Richland, Sylvia Yount, Springfield, and Jeanie Kimbrew, St. Louis; one sister, Cora Wooley, Sedalia; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Stover. The Rev. Gene Burnett will officiate.

The remains were cremated. Inurnment will be in Kipp Memorial Cemetery, Stover.

WALLAU

John Leonard Wallau, 26, Portland, died April 18, 2001, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born Feb. 9, 1975, in  Jefferson City, a son of John F. and Betty Brunner Wallau. His father survives in Portland. His mother, Betty Finders, survives in  Jefferson City.

He attended St. Joseph Catholic Elementary School. A 1993 graduate of South Callaway High School, Mokane, he worked for Scrivner's Concrete Placement, Barnett, for the last three years.

Other survivors include: one son, Zachary Jay Wallau, Webb City; one brother, Michael Wallau, Portland; one sister, Julie Wallau,  Jefferson City; paternal grandfather, Henry Jay Wallau,  Jefferson City; and maternal grandmother, Venita Brunner,  Jefferson City.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Cathedral. The Rev. Fred Elskamp will officiate. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the Zachary Wallau Educational Fund.

KOLB

Dennis Joseph Kolb, 31, Wardsville, died April 19, 2001, at his home.

He was born Nov. 9, 1969, in  Jefferson City, a son of Joseph A. and Mary Jane Upschulte Kolb. His mother and father survive in Wardsville.

He was a 1988 graduate of Helias High School and a 2000 graduate of Columbia College, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration.

A sales representative for Mid West Block and Brick, he previously worked for Von-Hoffman Press. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.

Survivors include: his fiancée, Lorrie Shertz,  Jefferson City; one brother, Richard J. Kolb, Anchorage, Ala.; and two sisters, Diane M. Kolb and Lisa Kolb Waggoner, both of  Jefferson City.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. The Rev. Louis Dorn and the Rev. Brendan Doyle will officiate. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home,  Jefferson City, with a prayer service at 8 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, Multiple Sclerosis Society or St. Stanislaus Educational Fund.

JOHANNPETER

Evelyn F. Johannpeter, 85, Russellville, died April 18, 2001, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 20, 1915, in Washington , D.C., a daughter of Eulia and Lettie Newton Henderson. She was married Oct. 11, 1937, in St. Louis, to Eugene August Johannpeter, who died in October 1969.

A sales associate with Stix, Baer and Fuller, St. Louis, she moved to Russellville in 1998. She was a member of Russellville United Methodist Church, where she belonged to the Senior Saints. She also was a member of the 50 Plus Club in St. Louis and  Jefferson City.

Survivors include: one son, Walter Johannpeter, Russellville; one brother, Robert Henderson, Fredericksburg, Va.; one sister, Virginia Whelan, Locust Grove, Va.; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Russellville United Methodist Church. The Rev. John Kerr will officiate. Burial will be in Enloe Cemetery, Russellville.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Russellville.

Memorials are suggested to Russellville United Methodist Church or the American Diabetes Association.
