WILLIAMS
Mabel Estella Williams, 86, Kansas City, formerly of Gravois Mills, died April 26, 2001, at Delmar Gardens Nursing Home, Overland Park, Kan.
She was born April 15, 1915, in Portland, Ore., a daughter of Harry L. and Stella Amanda Hall Dunn. She was married April 22, 1960, to Howard H. Williams, who died Aug. 7, 1984.
She lived in Gravois Mills for 40 years and was baptized into Central Christian Church of Springfield.
Survivors include: two sons, Charles Perkins and Edward Perkins, both of Overland Park; four grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Carl Radford will officiate. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Sunday.
WRIGHT
Jessie Bell Roberts Wright, 91, Jefferson City, died April 26, 2001, in Jefferson City.
She was born May 7, 1909, in Bowling Green, a daughter of Valentine and Alice Winnie Bufford. She was married Nov. 26, 1936, to James O. Roberts, who died Jan. 30, 1978. She was married Nov. 13, 1983, to Floyd Monroe Wright, who died June 9, 1992.
She owned and operated Rainbow Point Resort. A member of the Oak Street Church of Christ in Eldon, she was a 50-year member of the Barnett chapter of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include several great-nieces and nephews.
One son preceded her in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. Lloyd Parr will officiate. Burial will be at 5:30 p.m. Sunday in Edgewood Cemetery, Bowling Green.
Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Sunday.
Memorials are suggested to Edgewood Cemetery.
BANKER
Gloria J. Banker, 52, Camdenton, died April 28, 2001, at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach.
She was born June 16, 1948, in Chicago, the daughter of Herbert and Jane Bermingham Eskridge. She was married May 12, 1973, to Jerry P. Banker, who survives at the home.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Shrine of Saint Patrick Catholic Church, Laurie.
Other survivors include: one son, Shawn Banker, Camdenton; two daughters, Tabitha Banker, Lenexa, Kan., and Jane Banker, Camdenton; her father and step-mother, Phyliss Eskridge, Hammond, Ind.; six brothers, Edward, John and David Smith of Ft. Smith, Ark., Henry and Raymond Smith, Chicago, and Robert Smith, Orlando, Fla.; and one granddaughter, Samantha Morris.
She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Edward Smith; two sisters, Rita and Mary; and one brother, William Smith.
Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Shrine of Saint Patrick Catholic Church, with Monsignor Gerard Poelker officiating. Burial will be in the St. Patrick Cemetery.
Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the Kidwell-Garber Laurie-Sunrise Beach chapel, Laurie, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the Gloria Jean Banker Memorial Fund, in care of the family.
BOONE
George G. Boone Jr., 73, Sunrise Beach, died April 28, 2001, at Osage Beach Health Care.

CALVIN
Charlie C. Calvin, 100, Columbia, died April 28, 2001, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
He was born Feb. 5, 1901, in Boone County, a son of Joseph D. and Eleanora Wren Calvin. He was married June 16, 1922, to Rosa Lee Watson, who died in October 1988.
He was a farmer in the Ashland, Wilton area. He later was a stone mason and he retired from Stephens College in 1969.
He was a charter member of the Woodcrest Primitive Baptist Church and a lifelong member of the Primitive Baptist Faith. He was a deacon, retiring to deacon emeritus in 1996.
Survivors include: two sons, Bobby Calvin, Columbia, Lamonte Calvin, Laurie; five grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jewell Calvin Rybolt, one grandson and five brothers.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Woodcrest Primitive Baptist Church, Ashland. Burial will be in Woodcrest Cemetery.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Robinson Funeral Home, Ashland.

JACKSON
Dorothy Dee Jackson, 49, Eldon, died April 27, 2001, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born Oct. 28, 1951, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Wilson and Erma Dee Crum Rice.
She was a 1969 graduate of Jefferson City High School. She worked for Berlin-Wheeler Corporation for 17 years, and was currently the office manager at Grellner Sales and Service in Jefferson City. She was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include her fiancee, Robert Hungerford, Eldon; two sons, Brian Jackson, Jefferson City, and Stephen "Vince" Jackson III of Jefferson City; one brother, Michael Rice, Jefferson City; and one granddaughter.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. A private graveside service will be held.
Memorials are suggested to the Heart of Missouri Humane Society.
PETTYJOHN
William C. Pettyjohn, 87, Laurie, died April 28, 2001, at the Laurie Care Center.

SALMONS
Jacob Ray "J.R." Salmons, 96, Jefferson City, died April 26, 2001, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 6, 1904, in Benton County, a son of Jacob Shepherd and Cora E. Raines Salmons. He was married July 1, 1927, in Warsaw, to Sarah Luella Miller, who preceded him in death on July 11, 1978. He then was married Aug. 25, 1979, in Jefferson City, to Cora Jane Grace, who died on June 7, 1997.
He was employed as an engineer with Union Pacific Railroad for 47 years, until he retired in 1969.
He attended school in Benton County. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Adult Sunday School Class of the church. He also was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen Engineers.
Survivors include: three sons, John R. Salmons, Albuquerque, N.M., Freddie J. Salmons, Moscow Mills, and Ronald R. Salmons, McDonough, Ga.; three daughters, Frances Norfleet, Clinton, Betty Nesbit, Sun City, Calif., and Patricia R. Page, Bellevue, Wash.; one sister, Fay Pundt, Reno, Nev.; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and one great great-granchild.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Cora E. Salmons, on June 23, 1956.
Services are at 11 a.m. Monday at Buescher Memorial Home. The Rev. Thomas W. Nelson will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church.
CREWS
Betty Crews, 70, Hancock, died April 28, 2001, at General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital, Fort Leonard Wood.
She was born Jan. 19, 1931, in Hancock, a daughter of Grover and Sylvia Kehr Mitchell. She was married May 23, 1953, in Centralia, to Donald Crews, who survives at the home.
She taught for 40 years in public schools, including Hancock, Santee, Fox Crossing and Dixon R-1, from which she retired in 1989.
She was a member of the Church of Christ, Dixon; Retired Teachers Association, where she served as recorder and news reporter; and the Pulaski County Democrat Committee.
She was a board member of the Pulaski County Health Center and the Pulaski County Democrat Women's Committee and served as the Pulaski County Committeewoman of Union Township.
Other survivors include one sister, Joan Jones, Crocker.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of Christ. Rick Pitchford, Norman Herren and Charles Pitts will officiate. Burial will be in Dixon Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon, and from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
