KOENIG

Services were today for Milford H. Koenig, 76, Belle, who died May 15, 2001, at Green Meadow Health Care Center, Linn.

He was born Sept. 14, 1924, in Osage County, a son of Chris and Ella Ridenhour Koenig.

He was a lifelong resident of the Belle community. He worked for E.C. Robertson Lumber Company as a bookkeeper. He later worked for Rock Island Railroad on the section crew until his retirement.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

Services were at Sassmann's Funeral Services, Belle. Burial was in Liberty Cemetery.

KOENIG

Edna G. Koenig, 94,  Jefferson City, died May 15, 2001, at Oak Tree Villas.

She was born April 22, 1907, near California, a daughter of Ernst and Katherine Herfurth Haldiman. She was married June 22, 1937, in  Jefferson City, to Joseph J. Koenig, who died July 8, 1994.

A former resident of California, she was a homemaker and licensed cosmetologist. She was a Catholic.

She is survived by one sister, Madelyn Dahler, California.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Annunciation Catholic Church, California. Msgr. Francis Gillgannon will officiate. Burial will be in Annunciation Catholic Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California.

Memorials are suggested to Annunciation Catholic Church, Patrick Street, California, Mo. 65018; or Annunciation Catholic Church Cemetery Fund, Patrick Street, California, Mo. 65018.

KELSAY

Louise Kelsay, 72, Eldon, died May 15, 2001, in Eldon.

She was born Dec. 7, 1928, in High Point, a daughter of George and Laura Enloe Campbell.

A homemaker, she was a lifelong resident of the Eldon area. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Eldon.

Survivors include: two daughters, Alanda Gothard,  Jefferson City, and Kay Culver, San Jose, Calif.; two sisters, Minnie Jesse and Anna Shephard, both of Eldon; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Eldon City Cemetery. The Rev. Ralph Gothard will officiate.

Visitation will be from 1:30-2:45 p.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon.

Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church, Eldon.

LINDENBUSCH

Donald Theodore Lindenbusch, 69, Centertown, died May 16, 2001, at his home.

He was born Jan. 31, 1932, in St. Anthony, a son of John and Hilda Tillman Lindenbusch. He was married Feb. 20, 1954, in Enid, Okla., to Irma Marie Mayeaux, who died Nov. 3, 1992.

He was a 1949 graduate of Iberia High School and a 1960 graduate of Washington University, St. Louis. An Air Force veteran, he was employed by the Missouri Commission on Higher Education for 11 years, retiring in 1977.

From 1977 to 1992, he was a self-employed certified public accountant. He was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church, the Parish Council, St. Martin Catholic Education Foundation and St. Martin Knights of Columbus Council. He was past treasurer of the Centertown Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include: five daughters, Sharon Bowsher, Madison, Ala., Patricia Westermann and Leslie Linnenbrink, both of  Jefferson City, Shelley Steinman, Russellville, and Brenda Gorman, Springdale, Ark.; four sons, Richard Lindenbusch, Parnell, Iowa, Tom Lindenbusch,  Jefferson City, Barry Lindenbusch, Centertown, and Brad Lindenbusch, O'Fallon; one sister, Ethelreda Brigg, St. Louis; 25 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Martin Catholic Church. The Rev. Edwin A. Schmidt will officiate. Burial will be in St. Martin Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 6 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to St. Martin Catholic Education Foundation.

ROBERTSON

Mary Jane Threlkeld Robertson, 82,  Jefferson City, died May 16, 2001, at her home.

She was born June 19, 1918, in Shelbyville, a daughter of Elmer P. and Jennie Mary Woods Threl-keld. She was married Dec. 31, 1941, in  Jefferson City, to Roy Victor Robertson, who survives at the home.

After graduating from high school in Shelby County, she moved to  Jefferson City, where she worked in the Missouri State Legislature and for the Missouri Secretary of State. She was a past resident of Baltimore.

Other survivors include two sons, R. Vic Robertson Jr. and Dr. David Alan Robertson, both of Chicago, and one grandson.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Christian Church. The Rev. Lawrence Veatch will officiate. Entombment will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church.

SPRAGUE

Helen V. Sprague, 75, Eldon, died May 15, 2001, in Eldon.

She was born Sept. 27, 1925, in Piper, Kan., a daughter of Fred and Pearl Barnes.

She was a nurses aide and volunteered as an OATS coordinator. She was a member of Ninth Street Christian Church, Eldon.

Survivors include: five daughters, Pearl Graham and Teresa Mergelkamp, both of Eldon, Pam Brown, Versailles, Debbie Rose, Weston, and Sharon Kay Kolich, Kansas City, Kan.; three sons, Lee Hedden, Smithville, Richard Hedden, Eldon, and Laron Hedden, Liberty; one sister, Lida Mae Cook, state of North Carolina; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Greenmore Memorial Gardens, Barnett. The Rev. Tom Farrington will officiate.

Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon.

Memorials are suggested to the family.

McNEALY

Charles William McNealy, 85, Sedalia, died May 15, 2001, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.

He was born Oct. 23, 1915, in Moscow Mills, a son of Samuel T. and Mayme Millering McNealy. He was married Nov. 7, 1936, in Sedalia, to Gladys Pauline Ewing, who survives at the home.

He was superintendent of buildings and grounds at the Sedalia School District for 30 years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of East Sedalia Baptist Church where he served as a trustee. He was a past master of Sedalia Lodge 236 A.F. and A.M., Scottish Rite K.C.C.H., Ararat Shrine, past patron Sedalia Chapter 57 Order of the Eastern Star, and past watchman of Shepherds White Shrine.

He was a past president of A.A.R.P. 2821, Meals On Wheels and Modern Woodmen Camp 2065. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post 16 and V.F.W. Post 2591.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Sue Englund,  Jefferson City; two grandsons and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel, Sedalia. The Rev. Wayne Isgriggs will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. today with Masonic services at 8 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to Show Me Christian Youth Home.

AUGUSTINE

Nathan Louis Augustine, 35,  Jefferson City, died May 16, 2001, at his home.

He was born July 21, 1965, in Fort Knox, Ky., a son of Kenneth R. Sr. and Sondra Price Augustine. His father and stepmother, Kenneth R. Sr. and Catherine Augustine survive in  Jefferson City. His mother and stepfather, Sondra and Charles Maune, survive in St. Louis. He was married Dec. 17, 1999, in  Jefferson City, to Martha Garrett, who survives at the home.

A  Jefferson City High School graduate, he worked for 7-11 for eight years. He had worked for Capital Sports Bar for three years. He attended First Assembly of God Church and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2693.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Ashley Augustine, Washington ; two brothers, Kenneth R. Augustine Jr., San Francisco, and Doug Augustine, Washington ; and two sisters, Debra Augustine, St. Louis, and Carla Augustine, Independence.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home. The Rev. Lowell Perkins will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday.

Memorials are suggested to the residential care unit at Capital Region Medical Center.

KAHLER

Edward John Kahler, 69, Climax Springs, died May 16, 2001, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.

He was born Feb. 24, 1932, in Hoskins, Neb., a son of Raymond and Alice Hall Kahler. He was married Dec. 23, 1960, to Beneta Cantwell, who survives at the home.

He worked for Trans World Airlines, Kansas City, for 45 years before retiring in 1992 and moving to the Lake of the Ozarks. He was an Army veteran and member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Other survivors include: two sons, Darrin Kahler, Climax Springs, and Chuck Uptergrove, Independence; three daughters, Janet Aldridge and Diana Crockett, both of Climax Springs, and Brenda Rice, Independence; one brother, Dr. Monte Kahler, Bolivar; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie. Jim Randall will officiate. Burial will be in Mose Clark Cemetery, near Climax Springs.

Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

WEKENBORG

Edward Henry Wekenborg, 76,  Jefferson City, died May 17, 2001, in Cole County.

He was born Dec. 8, 1924, in  Jefferson City, a son of Geard H. and Carrie Catherine Schleuter Wekenborg. He was married Sept. 24, 1949, to Wilma Dean Pointer, who survives at the home.

A graduate of St. Peter High School, he was a Navy veteran of World War II. He had owned and operated Mid-West Implement Company since 1958.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; the Holy Name Society; Knights of Columbus Council 1054; Dan C. Coppin Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus; VFW Post 1003; American Legion Post 5; USS DeGrasse Club; and a Golden Member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was a board member and past president of Western Implement Association.

Other survivors include: two sons, Daniel E. Wekenborg, St. Thomas, and Bruce K. Wekenborg,  Jefferson City; one brother, James Wekenborg, New Bloomfield; three sisters, Frances Prenger, Elizabeth McIlwain and Clara Bolden, all of  Jefferson City; and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. Gregory L. Higley will officiate. Entombment will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the Helias Foundation or Immaculate Conception Building Fund.
