SHIRLEY
Robert Kirby Shirley, 50, Gravois Mills, died May 19, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born Sept. 23, 1950, in Belton, Texas , a son of Elzie and Lynn Hunt Shirley. His parents survive in Casa Grande, Ariz. He was married March 27, 1970, to Saundra Mastin, who survives at the home.
An Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, he served 12 years in the Army National Guard. He was a dry wall contractor and member of the Opened Door Christian Fellowship, Laurie.
Other survivors include: one son, Chris Shirley, Laurie; three daughters, Jennifer DiStefano, Ardmore, Okla., Erin Manuel, Tulsa, Okla., and Lynne Bias, Versailles; one brother, Michael Shirley, Casa Grande; one sister, Tanya Haney, Casa Grande, and nine grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Opened Door Christian Fellowship. Pastor Jerry Piker will officiate. Burial will be in Garber Memorial Estates Cemetery, Laurie.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Kidwell-Garber Laurie-Sunrise Beach Chapel, Laurie.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
FISCHER
Corinne F. Fischer, 91, California, died May 18, 2001, at Moniteau Care Center, California.
She was born March 8, 1910, in Chicago, a daughter of William and Ida Ihrke Beu. She was married June 6, 1928, in Elgin, Ill., to Wilbert W. Fischer, who died Sept. 9, 1985.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, California.
Survivors include: one daughter, Joy Kiesling, Russellville; two sons, Dennis Fischer, Clarksburg, and Ronald Fischer, Tombstone, Ariz.; two brothers, Wilbur Beu, Elgin, Ill., and Maurice Beu, Harvard, Ill.; one sister, Alice Cork, Elgin, Ill.; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren;
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, California. Peter M. Kurowski will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.

EMMERICH
Walter J. "Bud" Emmerich, 83, Eugene, died May 19, 2001, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 13, 1917, in Centertown, a son of Charles J. and Earsey E. Brand Emmerich. He was married April 3, 1960, in the state of Oklahoma, to Sarah Emmerich, who survives at the home.
He attended school in Cole County and was a World War II veteran. He worked as a miner in the area and was employed by the Missouri Department of Corrections.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Hermena G. Emmerich, Eugene; five sons, James F. Emmerich, Brumley, Walter L. Emmerich, Henley, Chaney M. Emmerich, Evening Shade, Ariz., Henry Clay Emmerich, Leeville, La., and John F. Emmerich, Eugene; two brothers, Artie L. Emmerich, Kansas City, and David G. Emmerich, Warsaw; one sister, Ellen M. Sartain, Independence; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Weber and Sons Funeral Home, Russellville. The Rev. Truman Hodge will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Enloe Cemetery, Russellville.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor's choice.
FRANKLIN
Robert W. Franklin, 69, Fulton, died May 20, 2001, at Callaway Community Hospital, Fulton.
He was born Dec. 12, 1931, in Fulton, a son of Clay H. and Vera Bullard Franklin. He was married June 1, 1956, to Ruth Bosch, who survives at the home.
He was employed as a printer at Ovid Bell Press until his retirement. He then worked part-time at the Fulton Public Schools.
He was a member of VFW Roy Sone Post 1003.
Other survivors include: two sons, Richard Franklin, Anna, Texas , and Randal Franklin, Tampa, Fla.; one brother, Ernest Franklin, state of Georgia; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Maupin Funeral Home, Fulton. Bruce Williamson will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Fulton.
Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
PERRY
Thelma B. Perry, 88, Sunrise Beach, died May 19, 2001, at Laurie Care Center, Laurie.
She was born Oct. 18, 1912, in LaValette, W.Va., a daughter of Jacob and Nola Bell Raye Stock. She was married to Ralph Perry, who preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include: one son, Rightly Ralph Perry; one daughter, Lora Jean Modeer, Sunrise Beach; two sisters, Lora Farrell, state of Ohio, and Jenny Jack, state of West Virginia; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Forest Lawn Mortuary, Covina Hills, Calif. Burial will be in Covina Hills Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Covina Hills.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton.
LEONARD
Services were today for Harold P. Leonard, 83, Tipton, who died May 18, 2001, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born July 3, 1917, in Moniteau County, a son of Joseph L. and Maude Grace Medlin Leonard. He was married Dec. 21, 1944, in Johnson County, Kan., to Lillith Williams, who survives at the home.
A graduate of Latham High School, he was an Army veteran of World War II and was a POW. He was a corrections officer with the Missouri Department of Corrections until his retirement in 1988. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Tipton.
Services were at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California. The Rev. Dusty Klein and the Rev. Steve Jones officiated. Burial with military honors was in Hickman Cemetery, Clarksburg.

PHEGLEY
Esther V. Phegley, 83, Seminole, Fla., formerly of Eldon, died May 18, 2001, in Largo, Fla.
She was born Sept. 12, 1917, in Bureau County, Ill., a daughter of Everett and Martha Leona Sullivan Bailey. She was married May 1, 1946, to Rolland Phegley, who died Jan. 12, 1993.
She was a beautician and a member of Eldon United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one brother, Harold E. Bailey, St. Louis.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Fred Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Eldon City Cemetery, Eldon.
Visitation will be from 1:30-2 p.m. Tuesday.
WINTERS
Miyo Winters, 71, Jefferson City, died May 20, 2001 at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born Sept. 2, 1929, in Hatano Kanagawa Ken, Japan. She was married June 20, 1964, in Holts Summit, to Larry E. Winters, who survives at the home.
A homemaker, she had been a resident of the Jefferson City area since 1964.
Other survivors include: one stepson, Gary R. Winters, St. Louis; one stepdaughter, Sherry M. Sitzes, St. Louis; five sisters, Saku Atsumi, Nobu Matuo, Keiko Suzuki, Katumi-Reiko Kitagaw and Horosi-Shzue Sato, all of Japan; two step grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Freeman Mortuary. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday.
HAKE
Frederick Theodore Hake, 58, Jefferson City, died May 19, 2001, in Morgan County.
He was born Jan. 21, 1943, in St. Elizabeth, a son of John and Alta Brasier Hake. He was married to Alice E. Jett, who survives in St. Louis.
After high school he was employed in maintenance at McDonnell Douglas Corp., St. Louis. He then moved to Jefferson City, where he worked for Von Hoffmann Press Inc. He currently was employed by Schulte's IGA.
He attended Rocky Mount Baptist Church, where he was active in Visions Unlimited Food Pantry.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Sonya T. Skaggs, Wildwood, Stephanie S. Burkhart, Fenton, and Anne J. Moody, St. Louis; eight brothers, John Hake, Kenneth Hake, Marshall Hake, Larry Hake and Gary Hake, all of St. Louis, Harold Hake, St. Elizabeth, and Norbert Hake and Virgil Hake, both of Jefferson City; four sisters, Leona Otto, Meta, Betty Ross, Jefferson City, and Norma Holtmeyer and Virginia Bunch, both of St. Louis; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Dan Duckworth will officiate. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, St. Elizabeth.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, with a rosary at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Visions Unlimited Food Pantry and Living Memorial Scholarship, both at Rocky Mount Baptist Church.
REITHMEYER
W. Lawrence "Larry" Reithmeyer, 72, Jefferson City, died May 21, 2001, at his home.
He was born July 5, 1928, in Aud, a son of J. Henry and Sarah Elizabeth Redden Reithmeyer. He was married Feb. 9, 1952, in Chamois, to Lula Bruce, who survives at the home.
He attended Chamois public schools and was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked for Rackers & Baclesse Lumber Co. from 1952 to 1968, and for Stover Carpet from 1968 to 1986. He was employed by Beck Materials from 1989 until his retirement in 1991.
He was a member of Central United Church of Christ, where he served as a deacon.
Other survivors include: four daughters, Deborah Reithmeyer, Lee's Summit, Deann Conroy, Aurora, Colo., Darla Reithmeyer, Coffeyville, Kan., and Dana Carnes, Cabot, Ark.; and two granddaughters.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Central United Church of Christ. The Rev. Stephen H. Buchholz will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
