CAMERON
Albert Edwin Cameron Jr., 87, Hartsburg, died May 21, 2001, at his home.
He was born Nov. 4, 1913, in Warrensburg, a son of Albert E. Sr. and Ethel Poague Cameron. He was married Feb. 20, 1972, in Hartsburg, to Mable Ramsdell, who died Nov. 30, 2000.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was a manager at Milgrams Grocery Store in Kansas City until 1956. He then worked at Midwest Auto in Jefferson City until 1974. He was a farmer.
He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Hartsburg, American Legion Post 152, Ashland, and the Ashland Senior Center.
Survivors include: two daughters, Peg Roach and Phyllis Lynne Carleton, both of St. Louis; one stepdaughter, Virginia Ellen Bennett, Hartsburg; one stepson, James Wilson Ramsdell, Hartsburg; six grandchildren; five step grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and seven step great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Robinson Funeral Home, Ashland. Marvine Tolle will officiate. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery, Ashland.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday.

STROBEL
N. Marie Strobel, 82, Jefferson City, died May 21, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born July 18, 1918, in Russellville, a daughter of Martin and Birdie Sappenfield Scrivner. She was married Sept. 8, 1945, in Lohman, to Paul Strobel, who survives at the home.
She attended school in Russellville and was a former resident. She was the switchboard operator in Russellville and at St. Marys Hospital for several years. She retired from Chesebrough-Ponds.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Lohman.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Sharon Brown, Holts Summit; one sister, Marcella Koestner West, Russellville; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Carl Gauck will officiate. Burial will be in Enloe Cemetery, Russellville.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Russellville.
Memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
JENNINGS
Larry Jennings, 39, Richland, died May 20, 2001, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.
He was born Jan. 21, 1962, in Waynesville, a son of Freddie and Veda Anderson Jennings. His mother survives in Richland. His father survives in Swedeborg. He was married Sept. 16, 2000, in Swedeborg, to Judith Cook, who survives in Richland.
He worked at Independent Stave Co. and was a member of the Church of Christ, both in Lebanon.
Other survivors include: two sons, Christopher Jennings, Pacific, and Justin Jennings, Richland; one daughter, Christy Jennings, Richland; two stepsons, Jason Cook and Travis Cook, both of Jefferson City; three brothers, Roger Jennings, Hazelgreen, Mark Jennings, Swedeborg, and Danny Jennings, Richland; and grandparents, Fred and Berchie Jennings, Swedeborg.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Long Funeral Home, Crocker. Gene Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Duncan Cemetery, Dixon.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today, and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday.

HOUGH
Bertha Hough, 92, Crocker, died May 19, 2001, at Phelps County Regional Medical Center.
She was born April 21, 1909, in Denmark, Iowa, a daughter of Roy and Anna Hawkins Tebbs. She was married July 9, 1929, to Marvin M. Odom, who preceded her in death. She was married Nov. 16, 1949, to Henry James Hough, who died Feb. 24, 1994.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Crocker. She was a waitress and a homemaker.
Survivors include: one son, Glen Odom, Springfield; one daughter, Lola Clark, Mt. Vernon; three stepdaughters, Helen Davis Smith, Waynesville, Shirley Horldt Venables, Ft. Pierce, Fla., and Janet Minnick, Iberia; four grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; 15 step great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, Crocker. The Rev. Nick Salzman will officiate. Burial will be in Waynesville Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Long Funeral Home, Crocker, and from noon-1 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, Crocker.
FLAGG
Robert George Flagg, 81, Linn Creek, died May 20, 2001, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.
He was born Feb. 20, 1920, in Plainfield, Ill., a son of George and Laura Brockway Flagg. He was married July 3, 1975, to Edith Huffman, who survives at the home.
A Presbyterian, he spent most of his life in Plainfield where he worked in construction. For 12 years, he owned and operated a school bus for the Plainfield School System. He moved to Linn Creek in 1979.
Other survivors include: one son, Robert Flagg, Joliet, Ill.; two daughters, Patricia Russell, Clearwater, Fla., and Debbie Flagg, state of New Mexico; five stepdaughters, Judy Gunter and Pam Pubentz, both of Plainfield, Sandy Rushing and Jo Ellyn Vetter both of Joliet, and Linda Miller, Morris, Ill.; three stepsons, Robert Carlisle, Wheaton, Ill., Jeffry Carlisle, Kissimmee, Fla., and Richard Carlisle, state of Kentucky; two brothers, Howard Flagg and Richard Flagg, both of Plainfield; one sister, Etola Lambert, Plainfield; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Plainfield Township Cemetery, Plainfield. The Rev. Rick Ginnings will officiate.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton.
ROWDEN
Nettie Mable Rowden, 88, Jefferson City, died May 19, 2001, at Perry Home for the Aged, Perry, Ga.
She was born Jan. 23, 1912, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Edward B. and Nettie C. Burkett Linville. She was married in 1929, in Jefferson City, to Asa Jackson "A.J." Rowden, who died Jan. 3, 1990.
She was a graduate of Jefferson City High School. A homemaker, she also had lived in Springfield.
She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Women's Garden Club.
She is survived by two nephews and three nieces, including Catherine Gabaldon, Holts Summit.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Boone County. The Rev. Woodwon Crossin will officiate.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at Buescher Memorial Home.
Memorials are suggested to the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Association.
EIKEN
Silver Clem Eiken, 77, Taos, died May 23, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born June 20, 1923, in Taos, a son of Vincent and Adela Kerperin Eiken. He was married May 12, 1962, in Taos, to Clara Christina Grothoff, who survives at the home.
He worked at Tweedie Shoe Factory; St. Francis Xavier Church and School; Chesebrough-Ponds Inc.; and with his family at Eiken's Food Store in Taos. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Taos, where he was a communion minister and was active in the choir. He belonged to the Holy Name Society and was a prayer partner for St. Francis Xavier School. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Westphalia and Taos. He was a charter member of the Taos Fire Department Board and was a crossing guard at St. Francis Xavier School.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Mayra G. Long, Taos; two sons, Brian G. Eiken, Blue Springs, and Harold J. Eiken, Kearney; five sisters, Susan Eiken, Margaret Forck and Frances Eiken, all of Taos, Sr. Francisca Eiken, C.C.V.I., San Antonio, Texas , and Kelly Hardin, Blue Springs; two brothers, Joseph Eiken, Mesa, Ariz., and Edward Eiken, Taos; and three grandchildren.
Two sons, Kurt Eiken and Patrick Eiken, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. The Rev. J. David Maher will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Visitation also will be from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Francis Xavier Building Fund, or to the St. Marys Oncology Program.
HAMILTON
Dora E. Hamilton, 79, Jefferson City, died May 24, 2001, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Feb. 17, 1922, in Eldon, a daughter of Raymond and Hettie Stevens Austin. She was married in Jefferson City to James H. Hamilton, who died in 1995.
She attended Eldon schools and worked for the J.C. Penny Company for 21 years. She was employed at Chesebrough-Ponds for 15 years until her retirement.
She was a Methodist.
Survivors include: one daughter, Diane Kerr, Jefferson City; one son, Emmett Hughes, Jefferson City; one sister, Bernice Kay, Jefferson City; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home. The Rev. Mindy Kiepe will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday.
Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
JOHNSON
Mary Evelyn Johnson, 63, Jefferson City, died May 23, 2001, at Summit Villa Lifecare, Holts Summit.
She was born June 22, 1937, in Shannon County, a daughter of James F. and Irene Ipock Williams. She was married Sept. 9, 1972, in Jefferson City, to Ralph Edwin Johnson, who died Feb. 17, 2001.
A graduate of Summersville High School, she was employed as a secretary at the Missouri Department of Health.
Survivors include: one son, James D. Hughes, Lehigh, Okla.; one stepdaughter, Lana K. Martin, Jefferson City, and two step grandchildren.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
