McKINLEY
Jarid William McKinley, 25, Springfield, formerly of Jefferson City, died June 13, 2001, in Columbia.
He was born June 26, 1975, in Sheridan, Wyo., a son of William and Billie Smiley McKinley. His parents survive in Jefferson City
He was a 1993 graduate of Jefferson City High School and a 1997 graduate of Southwest Missouri State University, Springfield.
He worked for the Queen City Winnelson Company, Springfield; the Campus Crusade at a Debrecen University, Debrecen, Hungary; and Student Venture, Budapest, Hungary. He participated in mission travels throughout the United States.
He was a member of the First Evangelical Free Church, Springfield; Jefferson City High School Concert Chorale; and Legacy 7 Christian Band. He attended the Grace Evangelical Free Church, Jefferson City
Other survivors include: two brothers: Jacob McKinley and Joshua McKinley, both of Jefferson City; maternal grandparents, William and Marie Smiley, Sheridan; paternal grandparents, Jerome and Sally McKinley, Gillette, Wyo.; paternal great-grandmother, Marie Dalton, Gillette; and fiancée, Beth Bohlmann, Fenton.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Garden of Angels, Centertown. The Rev. Mark Kiekhaefer and the Rev. Jerry Carlin will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Directors and from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the Garden of Angels.
Memorials are suggested to The Jarid McKinley Campus Crusade Memorial Fund.
LONG
Catherine Long, 83, Jefferson City, died June 15, 2001, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born April 2, 1918, in Linn Creek, a daughter of Louis H. and Eva Irwin Kelsey. She was married in 1937 in Jefferson City to Carlie V. Long, who survives.
She was a lifelong resident of the Central Missouri area and a homemaker.
Other survivors include: two sons, John W. Long, Holts Summit and James M. Long, Lohman; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Freeman Chapel. Burial will be at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Wednesday at the Freeman Mortuary.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
LONG
Roger L. Long, 74, Jefferson City, died June 15, 2001, at his home.
He was born Sept. 29, 1926, in Chicago, a son of Arthur and Ada Rupprecht Long. He was married June 21, 1968, in Evanston, Ill., to Elizabeth Greenwood, who survives at the home.
He was a 1944 graduate of Bowen High School, Chicago. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a self-employed salesman. He attended First Baptist Church of Jefferson City.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Luanne Yarnell, Jefferson City, and Kathleen Long, Boise, Idaho; and two granddaughters.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church. Dr. Doyle Sager will officiate. Burial with full military honors will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors.
LAMPE
Leroy T. "Peewee" Lampe, 73, Lohman, died June 14, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born Feb. 10, 1928, in Wisner, Neb., the son of Clarence and Emma Braun Lampe. He was married Aug. 10, 1946, in Jefferson City to M. Melvadine Workman, who survives at the home.
A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, he attended St. Peters School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Lampe was employed by the Laborers Local #662 for 37 years serving as the business agent for about 12 years. After retirement, he and his wife owned and operated the Stringtown Bar & Grill for several years.
He was a member of St. Peters Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Roy Sone Post 1003, and the Russellville American Legion.
Other survivors include: three sons, Steve Lampe, Clinton, Chris Lampe, Lohman, and Mitch Lampe, Russellville; three daughters, Sherry L. Niederhelm, Holts Summit; Ginger E. Grellner, Jefferson City, and Theresa A. Cook, Jefferson City; two sisters, Ethel Ahrens, West Point, Neb., and Shirley King, Plant City, Fla.; one brother, Robert Sanning, Corpus Christi, Texas ; 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Freeman Chapel with the Rev. Ed Schmidt officiating. Graveside services and burial with military honors will be conducted at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at the Freeman Mortuary.
Memorials are suggested to the Leroy Lampe Memorial Fund.
DAMPF
Frances B. "Fran" Dampf, 52, Jefferson City, died June 15, 2001, at her home.
She was born Dec. 11, 1948, in Boonville, a daughter of Vernon and Helen Eck Streck. She was married Nov. 28, 1970, in Jefferson City, to John F. Dampf, who survives at the home.
She was a 1968 graduate of St. Francis Academy, Nevada. She was a secretary for the Missouri Department of Revenue Field Services from 1980 until her retirement. She was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral, and was a supporter of the Missouri Special Olympics.
Other survivors include: one son, Christopher J. Dampf, St. Louis; two brothers, Louis Streck, Trophy Club, Texas , and James Streck, Pilot Grove; and three sisters, Mary Ross, Elma, Wash., Veronica Price, Ft. Huachuca, Ariz., and Helen Marie Cline, Jefferson City.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Cathedral. Fr. Fred Elskamp will officiate. Entombment will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

BRANDT
David E. Brandt, 54, Linn, died June 15, 2001, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 19, 1947, in Linn, a son of Estella Lepper and Frederick Brandt. His mother survives in Linn. He was married July 5, 1969, in Rich Fountain to Brenda Gerloff who survives at the home.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy who served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of St. George Church and Linn Lions Club. He was vice president of engineering at Schlueter Manufacturing in Linn for 23 years. Prior to that, he was a teacher at Linn Technical College and an employee at American Steel.
Other survivors include: one son, Brian Brandt, Linn; one daughter, Shelia Brandt, Linn; two brothers, Bob Brandt, Hartsburg, and Larry Brandt, Jefferson City; six sisters, Rita Wesselmann Gerke, Columbia, Norma Miller, St. Louis, Eileen Cremer, Jefferson City; Dorothy Dudenhoeffer, Jefferson City; Bernie Houchens, Jefferson City and Jeanine Rutledge, Jefferson City.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Brandt.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. George Church with the Rev. Paul Hartley officiating, followed by interment in the St. George Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Morton Funeral Home in Linn. A prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
KEIM
August W. Keim, 75, Versailles, died June 16, 2001, at Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles.
He was born July 26, 1925, in Kimmswick, a son of Tony and Florence Keim Hammett. He was married Nov. 6, 1947, to Edith Ann Brooks, who survives at the home.
He was a retired service station manager for Thomas Oil Company. He was a member of Jefferson Heights Baptist Church.
Other survivors include: two sons, Edward W. Keim, Lakewood, Wash., and Phillip J. Keim, Helsinki, Finland; three daughters, Ruth Shaffer, Gray Summit, Susan Meyer, Laurie, and Cindy Hunter, Imperial; one half brother, Dr. Edward Hammett, Branson; and seven grandchildren.
One grandchild preceded him in death.
Services will be at 5 p.m. today at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Leslie Howard will officiate. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Park Lawn Cemetery, St. Louis.
Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. today.
MILLER
Fay J. Miller, 84, Camdenton, died June 15, 2001, at Eldon Nursing Home, Eldon.
She was born June 11, 1917, in Montreal, a daughter of Danhl and Dolly Kahl Jones. She was married May 15, 1941, in Eldon, to Eddie Miller, who died April 9, 1988.
She owned and operated Bridal Cave, Camdenton. She was a member of Camdenton Eastern Star 332.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton. The Rev. Gene Cain will officiate. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery, Linn Creek.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday.
SCHEPPERS
Rose A. Adrian Scheppers, 85, died June 15, 2001, at her home.
She was born Sept. 29, 1915, in Westphalia, a daughter of Stephen and Elizabeth Adrian. She was married to Omar Scheppers, who survives in Florissant.
She was a retired seamstress who taught sewing for 23 years. She was a member of the St. Thomas Apostle Quilting Society.
Other survivors include: one son, Roger Scheppers; three daughters, Elizabeth K. Hooker, Lorraine M. Tersteeg and Donna M. Asikainen; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Thomas Apostle Church, Florissant. Fr. Valentine will officiate. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Westphalia.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today.
