SIEBENECK

Archie Alfred Siebeneck, 80,  Jefferson City, died June 20, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born July 30, 1920, in Cole County, a son of Edward and Maggie Mae Rakes Siebeneck. He was married Aug. 25, 1943, in  Jefferson City, to Helen G. Wachter, who survives at the home.

He attended school in Osage Bluff and was a member of First Baptist Church.

He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was employed with Uregas Co. and was a supervisor for Parks and Recreation for 21 years before retiring.

Other survivors include: one son, Dale Alfred Siebeneck,  Jefferson City; one daughter, Joyce Kay Mertens,  Jefferson City; two sisters, Beulah Hager and Nine Mae Loesch, both of  Jefferson City; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Doyle Sager and the Rev. Thomas W. Nelson will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today at Buescher Memorial Home.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.

HENDRIX

Loucetta Grace Hendrix, 89,  Jefferson City, died June 20, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.

She was born March 15, 1912, in Sparks, Okla., a daughter of Jacob and Catherine Brunkhorst Bierman. She was married to Dr. H. Keith Hendrix, who died July 8, 1950.

She was a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School, Sedalia, and a member of First Baptist Church.

She was the owner of one of  Jefferson City's first licensed daycare centers, which she opened in 1950 and operated until her retirement in 1979.

Survivors include: one son, Keith B. Hendrix, Monroe, Ga.; two daughters, Deanna McKnelly,  Jefferson City, and Barbara Stertzer, Lohman; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Buescher Memorial Home. The Rev. Thomas W. Nelson will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital or to a charity of the donor's choice.

CUNNINGHAM

James Franklin Cunningham, 81, Lebanon, died June 21, 2001, at Breech Regional Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 25, 1919, near Anderson, a son of Alfred L. and Edna Gertrude Grimes Cunningham. He was married March 7, 1969, to Elizabeth "Betty" Bates, who died Sept. 11, 1994.

He graduated from the University of Missouri in 1943 and was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He worked for Kraft Foods; Foremost Dairy; the Laclede County Health Department; and the Missouri State Health Department. He was a member of Falcon Baptist Church.

Survivors include: two daughters, Donna King, Lebanon, and Shirley Bareford, Fremont Hills; one son, Richard Cunningham, Lebanon; two stepsons, Gene Carter and George Carter, both of  Jefferson City; one brother, Jack Cunningham, Anderson; three sisters, Gertrude Hicks, Wichita, Kan., Ruth Grissom, Henderson, N.C., and Wanda Davis, Neosho; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. The Rev. Larry Atkins will officiate. Burial with full military honors will be in Mount Rose Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 7-8:30 p.m. today.

A sports scholarship memorial has been established.

DUNN

Ellis "Butch" Dunn, 79,  Jefferson City, died June 22, 2001, at Westphalia Retirement Center, Westphalia.

He was born Aug. 22, 1921, in Union Grove, Ala., a son of Gus and Ollie Shepard Dunn. He was married March 13, 1943, in Rossville, Ga., to Beulah "Sue" Nail, who died March 17, 1993.

A resident of the Central Missouri area for the past four years, he served in the Army during World War II.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, Spring City, Tenn., the American Legion, and the VFW. He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge, .

He was a butcher and meat market manager with Red Food Stores in Chattanooga, Tenn., and Dayton, Tenn., for 35 years before he retired in 1982.

Survivors include: one daughter, Dianne Davidson,  Jefferson City; two sisters, Edna Couch and Estella Hipp, both of Union Grove; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Pikeville Cemetery, Pikeville, Tenn.

Memorials are suggested to the Westphalia Retirement Center.

Arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.

EICHHOLZ

Ronald E. Eichholz, 64,  Jefferson City, died June 20, 2001, at Capital Region Medical Center.

He was born May 26, 1937, in Sedalia, a son of Kalo and Luella Ditzfeld Eichholz. He was married in  Jefferson City to Judith Ann Neutzler, who survives at the home.

A graduate of Sedalia High School, he worked at the Missouri Department of Corrections.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Other survivors include: two sons, Alan Eichholz, New Bloomfield, and Frank Eichholz,  Jefferson City; three stepsons, Kevin Williams and Grant Williams, both of  Jefferson City, and Patrick Williams, Meta; two daughters, Amy Hackett, Houston, Texas , and Angie Gilpin, Ashland; one brother, Garry Eichholz, Sedalia; one sister, Joyce McNeal, Sedalia; and six grandchildren.

The remains were donated to the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine's Department of Anatomy.

Memorials are suggested to  Jefferson City Hospice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Buescher Memorial Home.

GOFF

Kenneth Leroy Goff, 82, Climax Springs, died June 20, 2001, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.

He was born Feb. 2, 1919, in Allendale, a son of Earnest R. and Olga L. Walker Goff. He was married Sept. 1, 1938, in Kansas City, to Mildred Ford, who survives at the home.

He had lived in Independence and later moved to Crocker.

He was an Army veteran and worked as a ceramic tile setter.

He retired from Westport Flooring in 1982 and moved to Climax Springs.

He was a member of 76 Masonic Lodge, Independence, and the Climax Springs VFW. He was a Christian.

Other survivors include: two sons, Kenneth Goff, Climax Springs, and Jim Goff, Oak Grove; one daughter, Glenda Cline, Kansas City; one brother, Ralph Goff, Neosho; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

One granddaughter preceded him in death.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Kansas City. The Rev. Jack Blansit will officiate.

Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Saturday at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, with Masonic services at 3 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

DEUSER

Harry L. Deuser, 79, Lake Ozark, died June 20, 2001, at Lake Regional Hospital.

Arrangements are incomplete with Rekus Funeral Home, Eldon.

SMITH

Readie "Reed" Smith, 81, Tuscumbia, died June 22, 2001, at Lake Regional Hospital.

He was born Dec. 5, 1919, in Barbersville, Ky., a son of James T. and Flora Hopper Smith. He was married April 9, 1982, to Katie Bell, who survives at the home.

He was a member of the Fox Hunters Association and of the Baptist faith.

Other survivors include: 11 sons, Grover Smith, Ronald Smith, Jimmy Smith, Sherman Smith, Hershell Smith and Herman Smith, all of Kentucky, David Smith and Sam Wyrick, both of Tuscumbia, Rick Smith, Indiana, Clinton Wyrick, Eldon, and Larry Wyrick, Iberia; four daughters, Christine Tyler, Kentucky, Crystal Singleton, Crocker, Donna Roark, Iberia, and Bonnie Ahart, Eugene; one sister, Edna Brashear, Barbersville; 37 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. Gene Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Jarrett Cemetery, near Iberia.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

STEFANSKI

Arthur G. Stefanski Sr., 74, Fenton, died June 21, 2001, at his home.

He was born Feb. 20, 1927, in St. Louis, a son of Julius and Mabel Weiss Stefanski. He was married to Eleanor Romaneck, who preceded him in death.

He was a pressman for 40 years at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of Moose Lodge, Camdenton; the Eagles, St. Louis; and the River Club, St. Louis.

Other survives include: one son, Arthur G. Stefanski Jr., Fenton; three daughters, Betty Mueller, Ballwin, Diana Chandler, St. Louis, and Joan Mowery, Eureka; one brother, Ted Stefanski, St. Louis; one sister, Mildred Lovejoy, Illinois; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Home, St. Louis. Burial will be in  Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. today at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton, and from 4-9 p.m. Sunday at Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Home.

DAKE

Evelyn Dake, 93, Dixon, died June 21, 2001, at Christian Health Care Center, Dixon.

She was born Nov. 18, 1907, in Maries County, a daughter of Newt and Laura Lea Dake.

She was a member of First Christian Church, where she served as church treasurer. She was also a member of the Ladies Mission Group and the Friendship Club, all of Dixon. She was a housekeeper until her retirement in 1974. She worked at the Dixon Theater.

Survivors include one sister, Clara Vaughan, St. Ann.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon. The Rev. Julian "Rod" Rodriguez will officiate. Burial will be in Dixon Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday and from 9-10 a.m. Monday.

Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church, Dixon.
