LAMMERT
William J. Lammert, 92, Jefferson City, died June 23, 2001, at Capital Region Medical Center,
He was born June 22, 1909, in St. Louis, a son of George and Clara Schoeppel Lammert. He was married June 2, 1931, in St. Louis, to Anita Kunzman, who survives at the home.
He worked for International Shoe Company from 1924 until his retirement in 1974.
He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
Other survivors include two granddaughters, Gay Herr and Wendy Bennett, and one great grandchild.
One daughter, Carol Herr, died July 20, 1993.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. The Rev. Alvin Lange will officiate. Entombment will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to Faith Lutheran Church.
FISCHER
Mahlon J. Fischer, 76, Russellville, died June 24, 2001, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born June 1, 1925, in Russellville, a son of Julius and Augusta Kautsch Fischer. He was married June 21, 1952, in Stringtown, to Sharon Moore, who survives at the home.
He was an insurance agent for German Mutual Insurance for 10 years.
He farmed in the Russellville and Stringtown area until his retirement.
He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Stringtown.
Other survivors include: one son, Matt Fischer, Russellville; three daughters, Paulett Floyd and Renee Marr, both of Jefferson City, and Michelle Jones, Russellville; one brother, Norman Fischer, Holts Summit; two sisters, Celesta Fischer and Alberta Fischer, both of Jefferson City; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Services will 11 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Johns Lutheran Church. The Rev. Warren Brandt will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Tuesday at Weber and Sons Funeral Home, Russellville.
Memorials are suggested to St. Johns Lutheran Church.
FLORES
Joe T. Flores, 82, Jefferson City, died June 24, 2001, at Missouri Veterans Home, Mexico.
He was born Dec. 1, 1918, in Pueblo, Colo., a son of Miguel and Estefana Torres Flores. He was married July 28, 1979, in Jefferson City, to Mary S. Love, who survives at the home.
He attended Pueblo schools and served in the Army during World War II. He worked for Coy's Moving and Storage for 15 years before retiring in 1988.
Other survivors include: one half sister, Ruth Flores, Denver.
Private family services will be Tuesday in the Riverview Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel. Entombment with military honors will be in Riverview Cemetery Mausoleum.
Memorials are suggested to the Missouri Veterans Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Houser-Millard Funeral Directors.
MEYER
Henry A. Meyer, 67, Linn, died June 23, 2001, at his home.
He was born Feb. 1, 1934, at Chamois, a son of Fredrick "Fritz" and Flora Marie Maeser Meyer. He was married Oct. 22, 1960, in Chamois, to Mary E. Tieman, who survives at the home.
A lifelong area resident, he attended school in Chamois. He was a blacksmith with Zeilmann Bros. Case Implement for several years. He later worked at Freedom Products Co. for several years before retiring. He was a member of Linn Family Worship Center.
Other survivors include: two sons, Ricky L. Meyer and Stacy D. Meyer, both of Jefferson City; two brothers, Fredrick "Mickey" Meyer, Chamois, and Edward Meyer, Linn; one sister, Augusta Francis, Belle; and six grandchildren.
One son, Dale Ray Meyer, died in 1962.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn. The Rev. Glenn Holem and the Rev. David Wallace will officiate. Burial will be in Deer Creek Cemetery, Chamois.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at Morton Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the Linn Family Worship Center or the American Cancer Society.
SCRIVNER
Gladys S. Scrivner, 83, Russellville, died June 23, 2001, at California Care Center, California.
She was born Dec. 21, 1917, in Enon, a daughter of Herman and Leona Sauerhage Althoff. She was married Nov. 25, 1939, in Russellville, to Vinsel D. Scrivner, who survives at the home.
She was a graduate of Russellville High School and worked at Schubert's Store, Russellville, during World War II. She was a homemaker and helped on the family farm.
She had been a member of Rock Enon Baptist Church and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Russellville.
Other survivors include: three sons, James C. Scrivner, Russellville, David Lee Scrivner, University City, and Donald D. Scrivner, Versailles; one brother, J.D. Althoff, California; one sister, Laverne Payne, Russellville; five grandchildren; and three great-granddaughters.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. The Rev. Jasper Hunter and the Rev. Alan Earls will officiate. Burial will be in the Enloe Cemetery, Russellville.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Tuesday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Russellville.
Memorials are suggested to Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
BORGMEYER
Jennifer Ann Borgmeyer, 20, Jefferson City, died June 25, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born Dec. 12, 1980, in Jefferson City, a daughter of James W. and Lucinda Ann Schulte Borgmeyer. Her parents survive at the home.
She was a 2000 graduate of Jefferson City High School and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Buescher Memorial Home. The Rev. Donald Lammers will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church Cemetery, St. Thomas.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, at Buescher Memorial Home.
Memorials are suggested to the Special Learning Center.
CHASE
Earl Joseph Chase, 83, Eldon, died June 25, 2001 at Audrain Medical Center, Mexico.
He was born Sept. 22, 1917, in California, a son of Lawrence J. and Laura Hinkel Chase. He was married March 3, 1972, in Osage Beach, to Bonnie Sparks, who survives at the home.
He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
He retired from the Missouri State Department of Employment Security and was a member of First Baptist Church, Eldon.
Other survivors include two daughters, Connie Gardner and Debbie Payton, both of Eldon, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
One son, Larry Chase, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, Eldon. The Rev. Randall Bunch and the Rev. Bob Buster will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in California City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, at Rekus Funeral Home, Eldon.
Memorial are suggested to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
GEX
Louis J. Gex, 79, California, died June 24, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born Dec. 4, 1921, in San Francisco, a son of Louis J. and Marie Kearns Gex. He was married to Sarah Alice Scrivner, who died in 1990. He was married June 13, 1992, in Reno, Nev., to Evelyn Aurello, who survives at the home.
He taught physical science at California High School and college in California State. He was a Baptist minister serving at Henley and other churches in Central Missouri.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge 183 AF and AM, California, the NRA, California Shooters Club and the auxiliary for Moniteau County Sheriff's Department.
He graduated from East High School, Salt Lake City, Utah. He retired from the Air Force in 1966.
Other survivors include: two sons, Louis J. Gex III, Fairfield, Calif., and John M. Gex, Las Vegas; one sister, Patricia Lanza, Scarsdale, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.
There will be no services.

WRIGHT
Harry L. Wright, 58, Sunrise Beach, died June 24, 2001, at his home.
He was born Jan. 4, 1943, in Savannah, Ga., a son of Harry L. and Leona Langford Wright. His mother survives in Savannah, Ga. He was married May 9, 1965, to Wanda Groves, who survives at the home.
He was in the Air National Guard and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, both in Lincoln, Neb. He was a 1963 graduate of Georgia Military College, and he owned and operated H&S APCO & Husker Tire in Lincoln for 25 years. He also worked as a real estate agent at Home Real Estate Company, Lincoln.
He moved to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1992. He was affiliated with Clayton Fink Realtors and later with Re/Max Lake of the Ozarks.
He was a member of the Bagnell Dam Association of Realtors, Missouri Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors and a lifetime member of the American Quarter Horse Association.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Chris Torres, Eagle, Neb., Jenny Popp, Sunrise Beach, and Katie Jamison, Lake Ozark; and one grandson.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hedges Funeral home, Camdenton. The Rev. Dennis Woods will officiate. Burial will be in Mose Clark Cemetery, Climax Springs.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
