McMILLEN

Carolyn J. McMillen, 63, Eldon, died June 30, 2001 at her home.

She was born Aug. 22, 1937, in Ferguson, a daughter of Ray A. and Helen Cottam Wise. Her mother survives at the home. She was married Sept. 4, 1959, to Richard "Dick" McMillen, who survives at the home.

She was a graduate of Lincoln High School,  Jefferson City, and of Central Missouri State University.

She was a member of Eldon County Club and was president of the club's Ladies Golf Association.

Other survivors include: one son, Mike McMillen, Columbia; one daughter, Laurie Sartain-Espinoza, Austin, Texas ; and three grandchildren.

Services will be 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Eldon Country Club.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach.

SIEBENECK

Virgil F. Siebeneck, 79,  Jefferson City, died June 30, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born Dec. 19, 1921, at Osage Bend, a son of Frank and Clara Rakes Siebeneck. He was married Aug. 30, 1952, at Osage Bend, to Betty Wilbers, who survives at the home.

He attended school in Osage Bend and was Army veteran of World War II. He worked for the Arthur Ellis Tire Company and later as a heavy equipment operator with Cole County Highway Department until he retired in 1984.

He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Diane Braun,  Jefferson City; two sisters, Margaret Rackers and Dorothy Pierce, both of  Jefferson City; and two grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Immaculate Conception Church. The Rev. Tim Tatro will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Freeman Mortuary, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the Immaculate Conception Church Building Fund or the American Cancer Society.

WILSON

John A. "Jack" Wilson, 79, Osage Beach, died June 28, 2001, at Osage Beach Health Care Center. He was born May 13, 1922, in Chicago, a son of Arthur and Delores Bateman Wilson. He was married June 22, 1946, in Aurora, Ill., to Ada Mae Hall, who survives at the home.

He served with the Army during World War II and was a Realtor with Roy Dudley Real Estate, Naperville, Ill. He was a member of the Millionaires Club and the Kiwanis Club, both in Naperville; a former member of Fourth Street Methodist Church, Aurora; and a member of the Riverview Baptist Church, Osage Beach.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin, Ill.

Local arrangements are under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach.

WILSON

Melody Wilson, 41, Indianapolis, died June 30, 2001 at Wishard Memorial Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born Jan. 12, 1960, in  Jefferson City, a daughter of the Rev. R.V. and Leona Cox Wilson. Her mother survives in Holts Summit.

She graduated from high school in Great Bend, Kan., and Lincoln University. She worked for the Missouri Department of Education for a number of years.

Other survivors include: three daughters, Rachel Shomber,  Jefferson City, Tawna Woods, Holts Summit, and Amanda Woods, Indianapolis; one brother, Keith Wilson, Springfield, Ill.; three sisters, Barbara Ford, Wentzville, Janene Ford, Sunrise, Fla., and Brenda Van Slyck, St. Louis; and two grandchildren

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Weber Funeral Home, Russellville. Dr. David Higgs will officiate. Burial will be in the Enloe Cemetery, Russellville.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

TWEHOUS

Larry S. Twehous, 46,  Jefferson City, died July 1, 2001, at Capital Region Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 21, 1954, in Corona, Calif., a son of Joseph B. and Kay Brodd Twehous. His parents survive in  Jefferson City. He was married April 16, 1977, in Mariposa, Calif., to Linda Lincoln, who survives at the home.

He was a resident of the Central Missouri area since 1989. He graduated from the College of San Mateo, San Mateo, Calif., with a degree in industrial arts. He owned and operated the Larry Twehous Construction Company,  Jefferson City.

He was active in Boy Scout Troop 2,  Jefferson City. He was a brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow; Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie 2693; the Helias Band Boosters; and a Life Scout in Pacifica, Calif. He was a firefighter serving as the training captain for eight years with the volunteer company 37, Bootjack, Calif. He was a certified First Responder.

Other survivors include: one son, Joseph E. Twehous, of the home; and one sister, Donna Brunk,  Jefferson City.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. Ken Harland will officiate.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday.

Memorials are suggested to Joseph Twehous College Fund, Boy Scout Troop 2 or the Helias Band.

RUSSEL

Bryan Scott Russel, 19, Holts Summit, died July 1, 2001, at the University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital.

He was born Nov. 18, 1981, in Hannibal, a son of Donald and Joann Royer Russel, who survive at the home.

He was a 2000 graduate of  Jefferson City High School, a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Holts Summit, and a former member of the Marvick Skate Center Speed Skating Team.

He was an apprentice with Operating Engineers Local 513. He worked for  Jefferson Asphalt and Larry's Honda.

Other survivors include: his fiancee, Tabatha Vickers, Holts Summit; and his paternal grandmother, Romina Russel, Holts Summit.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Church. The Rev. Stephen Krenz will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors, Holts Summit, and from 10-11 a.m. Friday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to the Grace Lutheran Building Fund.

GERHART

Louis Edward "Lukie" Gerhart, 83, Eldon, died July 2, 2001, at his home.

He was born Feb. 25, 1918, in California, a son of Thomas Nicholas and Mary Elizabeth Bailey Gerhart. He was married Nov. 23, 1938, in Eldon, to Virginia Lawson, who survives at the home.

He worked for the Missouri Utilities Company in Eldon and Pilot Grove until he retired in 1981. He also built and owned the El-Donna Motel, Eldon, and was a real estate developer and building owner. He was a member of the Eldon Kiwanis Club.

Other survivors include: one son, Billy Lynn Gerhart, Orlando, Fla.; one daughter, Sue Gerhart Kikis, Spring, Texas ; one brother, Raymond Gerhart, California; two sisters, Ruth Ashel, California, and Margaret Woolf, Raytown; and three grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Phillips Funeral Home. Burial will be in the California Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the Building Fund of the First Christian Church, First and Aurora Street, Eldon, 65026.

SIEDHOFF

Eleanor Josephine "Jo" Siedhoff, 91, El Paso, Texas , died July 1, 2001, in El Paso.

She was born June 17, 1910, in St. Louis, a daughter of Frank and Frances Biermann. She was married for 64 years to William Siedhoff, who died in 2000.

She lived in St. Louis until moving to El Paso in 1972.

Before she married, she worked as a professional dancer.

Survivors include: one son, William Siedhoff,  Jefferson City; and one daughter, Dr. Diana Natalico, El Paso.

No funeral services are planned.

Memorials are suggested to University of Texas at El Paso Scholarship Fund, care of UTEP Development Office, El Paso, Texas , 79968; or the Family Support Network, No. 21 N. Gore Street, St. Louis, 63119.

DAVIES

Barbara "Bobbye" Davies, 62, Lake Ozark, died June 29, 2001, at Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center, Houston, Texas .

She was born July 28, 1938, in Birmingham, Ala., a daughter of George and Margaret Mayfield Welch. She was married Dec. 31, 1960, in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., to Douglas C. Davies Sr., who died Sept. 22, 2000.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include: one son, Douglas C. Davies Jr., Lake Ozark; one daughter, Wendy Lynn Dreyer, Houston, Texas ; two sisters, Patty Priest, Hawaii, and Betty Brown, Crowley, La.; and three grandchildren.

Services are 3 p.m. Friday at Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach. The Rev. Roger Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Lake Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Osage Beach.

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Friday.

SHARP

Wilma "Peggy" L. Sharp, 75, Sunrise Beach, died July 2, 2001, at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach.

She was born Oct. 20, 1925, in Sibley, a daughter of Samuel R. and Jessie M. Hontz Brown. She was married Dec. 24, 1962, to Willard "Bud" A. Sharp, who died Dec. 15, 1995.

She and her husband owned and operated Wilbus Marine, near Sunrise Beach. She was a member of West Lake Christian Church and the Lake of the Ozarks Marine Dealers Association.

Survivors include: one daughter, Connie Weyer, Sunrise Beach; one step-son, Chris Sharp, Sunrise Beach; one brother, Jack Brown, Odessa; one sister, Pat Reese, Little Rock, Ark.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at West Lake Christian Church, Laurie. Jane Sander will officiate. Burial will be in Garber Memorial Estates, Laurie.

Visitation is 12:30-2 p.m. Thursday.

Memorials are suggested to West Lake Christian Church or a charity of the donor's choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie.
