REHAGEN
Norbert A. Rehagen, 73, St. Elizabeth, died Nov. 7, 2000, at St. Elizabeth Care Center.
He was born Feb. 19, 1927, in Rich Fountain, a son of John and Mathilda Mary Lindenbusch Rehagen. He was married Sept. 27, 1952, in St. Elizabeth, to Catherine Brenneke, who survives at the home.
He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He worked at Capital City Ford for 20 years, retiring in 1989.
He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, St. Elizabeth, and the Holy Name Society. He was the first Grand Knight of St. Elizabeth Knights of Columbus Council 6640 and served as financial secretary. He was a member of St. Jude's Council 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and Honor Guard.
He was a member of St. Elizabeth American Legion Post 545, Capital City Squares Dance Club and the St. Elizabeth Community Center Board, where he was bowling machine mechanic. He was financial secretary of the St. Elizabeth Fire Protection District and a volunteer leathercrafts project leader of the St. Elizabeth 4-H Club.
He was a past member of the St. Elizabeth Town Board, the St. Elizabeth R-4 School Board and the Comm-Unity Ambulance Board in Meta.
Other survivors include: one son, Larry Rehagen, Livonia, Mich.; four daughters, Karen Craig, Tempe, Ariz., Diane Lang, Peculiar, Darlene Wansing, St. Elizabeth, and Elaine Forck, Taos; four brothers, Leonard Rehagen, St. Louis, and James Rehagen, David Rehagen and Arnold Rehagen, all of Jefferson City; two sisters, Alverna Buechter, Jefferson City, and Berniece Schulte, St. Anthony; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. The Rev. John Degnan will officiate. Burial, with military honors, will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3:30-8 p.m. today at the St. Elizabeth Community Center, with a senior citizens rosary at 4 p.m., and a rosary at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Elizabeth Knights of Columbus Scholarship Fund or the Drew Wansing Fund.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rekus Funeral Home, St. Elizabeth.
SCHAEFER
Johanna A. Schaefer, 94, Jefferson City, died Nov. 6, 2000, at Green Meadows Health Care Center, Linn.
She was born Oct. 31, 1906, in Osage County, a daughter of Theodore and Gertrude Niekamp Maasen. She was married June 4, 1929, in Linn, to Hugo W. Schaefer, who died June 25, 1973.
She attended St. George Catholic School, Linn. A homemaker, she worked as a clerk for the Missouri Division of Worker's Compensation from 1956 to 1968.
She was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral and active in Parents Without Partners.
Survivors include: two daughters, Rita M. Knoerr, Linn, and Marilyn F. Whitener, Taos; three sisters, Alice Chandler, Linn, and Amelia Jacquin and Mildred Kemple, both of Jefferson City; seven grandsons; and eight great-grandchildren.
One son, Ralph J. Schaefer, died June 1, 1998.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Cathedral. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the Helias Foundation.
SMITH
Andrew Thomas Smith, infant son of Thomas and Karen Berning Smith, Jefferson City, was born and died Oct. 14, 1999, in Columbia.
His parents survive at the home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Cemetery, Columbia.
Arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home, Columbia.
BERRY
Wanda Lee Carlock Berry, 71, Springfield, formerly of Jefferson City, died Jan. 21, 2001, at Cox North Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 19, 1929, in Greenfield, a daughter of Gilbert V. and Dorothy D. Long Carlock. She was married in 1948, in Greenfield, to Charles Luther Berry Sr., who preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.
Survivors include: four sons, Charles L. Berry Jr. and Gary L. Berry, both of Kansas City, the Rev. Karl "Moses" Berry, Ash Grove, and Keith L. Berry, Springfield; one daughter, Darla D. Jackson, Springfield; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
One son, Kyle Berry, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Thieme Funeral Home, Springfield. Burial will be in Springfield National Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. today.
BRITT
Clarence William "House" Britt, 53, Fulton, died Jan. 21, 2001, at Callaway Community Hospital, Fulton.
He was born June 1, 1947, a son of William Cave and Rosalee Britt Nevins. His stepfather, James Nevins, survives. He was married Jan. 11, 1969, in Mexico, to Wynona West, who survives at the home.
An Army veteran, he worked at RHI Refractories for 30 years. He also was employed at Stephens Grocery Store and Fulton State Hospital. He was a member of the Fulton Optimist Club and VFW Post 2657.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Angela Hickem, Fulton, and Caressa Britt, Kansas City; three brothers, Charles Britt, Clifford Nevins and Donnie Nevins, all of Fulton; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. The Rev. Craig Galbreath, the Rev. Marion Mitchell and the Rev. Albert Nickens will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
CASTIGLIA
Janet Sue Castiglia, 56, Eldon, died Jan. 21, 2001, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 17, 1944, in St. Louis, a daughter of Maurice and Lucy Ama Delta Jackson Lenox. Her mother survives in Eldon. She was married Sept. 10, 1987, in St. Louis, to Jack S. Castiglia, who died Sept. 18, 1997.
She was a homemaker.
Other survivors include: two sons, Daniel May, St. Louis, and James May, Eldon; one daughter, Regina Barnes, state of Kentucky; three brothers, William J. Lenox, Lebanon, and Robert L. Lenox and David A. Lenox, both of Eldon; four sisters, Betty L. Abernathy, Eldon, Shirley A. Batterson, Rock Island, Ill., Joann M. Barr, Grapevine, Texas , and Karen K. Elkin, St. Louis; one grandchild, 14 step grandchildren; and eight step great-grandchildren.
Two sons, Terry May and Michael May, preceded her in death.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Adams Cemetery near St. James. Dan Wissinger will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to the Janet Castiglia Memorial Fund.

McGOWIN
Dannie L. McGowin, 57, Eldon, died Jan. 22, 2001, in Eldon.
He was born Feb. 28, 1943, in Kansas City, a son of Joshua Sr. and Frata Jo Griggs McGowin. He was married Aug. 13, 1965, in Osage Beach, to Lou Goller, who survives at the home.
A lifelong resident of Miller County, he was a electrician until retiring in 1996. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 257 and VFW Post 2442, Eldon.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Heike Imler, Eldon; three brothers, the Rev. James McGowin, Eldon, William "Buck" McGowin, Lake Ozark, and Joshua "Buster" McGowin, Ulman; two sisters, Katheryn Ryan and Nellie Jo McGraw, both of Linn Creek; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. James McGowin will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Eldon.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.

ROBERTS
Roy Maxwell Roberts Jr., 85, Springfield, died Jan. 22, 2001, at Primrose Place, Springfield.
He was born June 12, 1915, in New Bloomfield, a son of Roy M. and Emma Starkey Roberts.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II and established Leech and Roberts Trucking, Jefferson City. In 1949, he moved to Harrison, Ark., where he established Roberts Motor Rentals.
He was a member of Arkansas Bus and Truck Association and was a founding member of the Harrison Elks Lodge.
Survivors include: two sons, Roy M. Roberts III, Springfield, and Ronald M. Roberts, Harrison; four grandsons; and two great-grandsons.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Holt Memorial Chapel, Harrison. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Harrison.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
WEDIG
George A. Wedig, 77, Lake Ozark, died Jan. 21, 2001, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.
He was born Nov. 27, 1923, in Chicago, a son of Emil and Elizabeth Fabricius Wedig. He was married Nov. 23, 1946, in Chicago, to Lorraine Mack, who survives in Lake Ozark.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, American Legion Post 229 and VFW Post 6514, all in Lake Ozark, and Elks Lodge, New Port Richey, Fla.
He was a retired meat cutter for Jewel Supermarket, Chicago. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Other survivors include: two sons, James Wedig, Lake Ozark, and Jeff Wedig, Round Lake, Ill.; two daughters, Joy Nile, Overland Park, Kan., and Jean Pettinger, Gurnee, Ill.; one brother, Raymond Wedig, Redding, Calif.; two sisters, Ida Semerau, Park Ridge, Ill., and Claire Kostal, Lombard, Ill.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Santa Maria Catholic Church, Mundelein, Ill. Inurnment will be at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach.
WEKENBORG
Jerry Francis Wekenborg, 36, Holts Summit, died Jan. 22, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born March 10, 1964, in Jefferson City, a son of James F. and JoAnn Howard Wekenborg. His mother survives in Holts Summit.
A 1982 graduate of Blair Oaks High School, he was a door installer with Doo-Little Trailer Manufacturing for four years. He worked as assistant manager at Dix Road Jiffy Lube for seven years, and was employed by the Missouri Pacific Railroad for five years.
He was a Catholic.
Other survivors include: his fiancée, Jeannie Owens, Russellville; four daughters, Stephanie Wekenborg, Abbey Wekenborg, Jerri Wekenborg and Shelby Wekenborg; three sons, Garrett Wekenborg, Dylan Wekenborg and Skyler Wekenborg; and one brother, Gary Wekenborg, Jefferson City.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Private family burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church Cemetery, Taos.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
WINGRATH
Florence Mary Wingrath, 87, Linn, died Jan. 21, 2001, at St. Mary's Hospital, Blue Springs.
She was born Nov. 12, 1913, in Rich Fountain, a daughter of Fred H. and Elizabeth Bexten Neuner. She was married Nov. 20, 1937, in Kirkwood, to Christian Wingrath, who died June 11, 1965.
She was a member of St. George Church, Linn, and St. Ann's Sodality. She was the owner of Green Gables Restaurant, Linn, for 15 years, and was employed by Cheeseborough Ponds until her retirement.
Survivors include: one son, James Paul Wingrath, Blue Springs; two brothers, Fred A. Neuner, Linn, and Elston Neuner, Taos; two sisters, Catherine Hartnett, St. Louis, and Louise Velker, Kirkwood; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. George Church, Linn. The Rev. Paul Hartley will officiate. Burial will be in St. George Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Morton Funeral Home, Linn, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
