TOOMES
Robert W. Toomes, 93, Fort Worth, Texas , formerly of Portland and Fulton, died January 27, 2000, in Fort Worth.
Hew was born Oct. 2, 1906, in Portland, a son of William Marion and Mora Adams Toomes. He was married March 6, 1932, to Frieda Laubscher, who survives at the home.
He was a farmer in Portland until moving to Fulton in 1952. He worked at the Fulton State Hospital until retiring in 1971. He moved to Fort Worth in 1996.
Other survivors include: one son, Harold Toomes, Corpus Christi, Texas ; two daughters, Barbara Lehocky, Fort Worth, and Helen Wozneak, Plano, Texas ; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Richard Toomes.
Graveside memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Callaway Memorial Gardens, Fulton. Bruce Williamson will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Debo Funeral Home, Fulton.
BRENNER
Larry William Brenner, 54, Meta, died July 4, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born May 17, 1947, in Jefferson City, a son of Claude and Addelle Mager Brenner. His mother survives in Jefferson City. He was married Aug. 31, 1968, in Babbtown, to Linda K. Schroeder, who survives at the home.
He attended Trinity Lutheran School. He was a 1965 graduate of Jefferson City High School, and in 1974 he earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
He worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation as an engineer for 32 years. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Babbtown, where he was treasurer, Sunday School Superintendent, Bible Class leader, and served on the Evangelism Committee. He was a member of Capital City Model Railroaders, and served as president of Aid Association for Lutherans. He volunteered with the Boy Scouts.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Valerie Alexander, Blue Springs; two sons, Russ Brenner, Jefferson City, and Brandon Brenner, of the home; two brothers, Robert Brenner and Darrell Brenner, both of Jefferson City; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. John Lutheran Church, Schubert. The Rev. Gerald Scheperle will officiate. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery, Schubert.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors.
Memorials are suggested to St. John Lutheran Church Building Fund or the Heisinger Lutheran Retirement Home.
HENLEY
Bernice C. Henley, 85, Jefferson City, died July 4, 2001, at the Oak Tree Villa Nursing Center.
Arrangements are incomplete at Freeman Mortuary.
HERX
August Conrad Herx, 86, Jefferson City, died July 5, 2001, at Oak View Skilled Care Center.
He was born Aug. 23, 1914, in St. Anthony, a son of William and Anna Luekenotte Herx. He was married Sept. 5, 1942, in St. Anthony, to Ellanor Veronica Buechter, who died Nov. 5, 1998.
He was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral. He worked with Shikles Motor Company, Jefferson City, and retired as foreman with the Jefferson City Parks and Recreation Department.
Survivors include: two daughters, Ginger Miller, Russellville, and Linda Kesel, Eureka; one sister, Marie Gudeman, St. Anthony; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Cathedral. The Rev. Frederick J. Elskamp will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic School.
COLLINS
Ethel Collins, 91, Crocker, died July 4, 2001, at Life Care Center, Waynesville.
She was born March 18, 1910, in Brandsville, a daughter of Doctor and Hannah Parker Boone. She was married May 29, 1925, in Willow Springs, to John Collins, who died July 7, 1951.
She was a member of the Assembly of God Church, near Willow Springs, and attended the Crocker Christian Church. She was employed by Civil Service at Ft. Leonard Wood as a seamstress in clothing and equipment for 20 years, retiring in 1977.
Survivors include: one son, Cecil Collins, Forsythe; three daughters, Helen Prescott, Lebanon, Dorene Maxey and Linda Layman, both of Crocker; 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Christine Helms, died Nov. 13, 1977.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Long Funeral Home, Crocker. Rick Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Crocker Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today and from 9-10 a.m. Saturday.
HEBERT
Edna Hebert, 89, Sarasota, Fla., died July 4, 2001, in Sarasota.
She was born Dec. 6, 1911, in Stoutsville, a daughter of Alva and Bertie Jordan. She was married March 26, 1934, to Richard A. Hebert Sr., who died in 1974.
A longtime resident of Fulton, she was the 1962 Missouri Mother of the Year. She was a soloist for the St. Peters Catholic Church Choir and president of the Fulton School Board.
Survivors include: one daughter, Dickie Priest, Apopka, Fla.; two sons, Richard A. Hebert Jr., Carlesbad, Calif., and Hal Hebert, Jefferson City; and one sister, Edith Birkhead, Sarasota.
One daughter, Mary Gale Schram, died in 1998.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery, Fulton.
Arrangements are under the direction of Warren Funeral Home, Fulton.
KOESTER
Alma Lillie Koester, 83, Stover, died July 4, 2001, at Golden Age Living Center, Stover.
She was born Jan. 19, 1918, in Glensted, a daughter of Rowen and Golda McCray Woolery. She was married Sept. 4, 1938, in Stover, to Elroy Koester, who survives at the home.
She was a 1938 graduate of Stover High School. She worked at Cooper's Store, Stover. She co-owned and operated the Stover Hatchery for 43 years until her retirement in 1985.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Stover, and at one time was active in the Junior Ladies Aid.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Joanne Doolady, Lake Ozark; one brother, the Rev. Orval Woolery, Sedalia; two sisters, Margret Bradley and Glenda Davis, both of Sedalia; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
One grandson preceded her in death.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Cecil Murdock will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Stover.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Stover, with a prayer service at 6 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Benton County Hospice or the Golden Age Living Center.
SPRATT
Hazel G. Spratt, 88, Eldon, died July 5, 2001, in Eldon.
She was born July 27, 1912, in Miller County, a daughter of Charles and Clydia Vernon Gouge. She was married Aug. 29, 1931, in Miller County, to Noah Spratt, who died in 1961.
She attended Aurora Springs Baptist Church, where she volunteered. She was a factory worker for Glaiser Brothers Pants Factory.
Survivors include: two daughters, Bonnie Deaton, Eldon, and Helen Barnhart, Lake Ozark; two sons, Jerry Spratt, Eldon, and Dennis Spratt, Excelsior Springs; two sisters, Myrtle Tracy, Eldon, and Anita Graham, Colorado; 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Raymond Spratt; three daughters, Edna Dunn, Phyllis Turpin and Patty Spratt; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Bob Stevenson will officiate. Burial will be in Dooley Cemetery, Eldon.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.

REDEL
Adrian T. "Ade" Redel, 78, Oakley, Kan., died July 5, 2001, at Garden Valley Retirement Village, Garden City, Kan.
He was born Nov. 10, 1922, in Vienna, a son of George J. and Agnes Frances Bade Redel. He was married Oct. 19, 1950, in Hays, Kan., to Rose Gerstner, who survives in Oakley.
He was a retired Naval officer and pilot. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Oakley; the Oakley V.F.W. Post 2981; the Oakley V.F.W. Taps Club; and was a third degree Knights of Columbus, Oakley Council 2866.
Other survivors include: four daughters, Sharon E. Harrell, Virginia Beach, Va., Jody Neuman, Garden City, Adrienne Carrica, Chanhassen, Minn., and Janet Ptacek, Dakota Dunes, S.D.; three brothers, Owen Redel, Jefferson City, Connie Redel, St. Louis, and James Redel, Vienna; five sisters, Margaret Jones, St. Louis, Marcella Redel, Arlington, Va., Virginia Redel, Vienna, Mary Agnes Hefferly, Birmingham, Ala., and Jane Sordyl, Springfield; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Oakley. Fr. Joseph Barr will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Oakley.
Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Sunday at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, Oakley, with a rosary at 7:30 p.m.

BOSCH
Harold Christopher Bosch, 76, Fulton, died July 7, 2001, at Callaway Community, Fulton.
He was born May 3, 1925, in St. Thomas, a son of Andrew and Ida Mueller Bosch.
He worked for Central Dairy and the Missouri School for the Deaf in the maintenance department.
Survivors include: three sisters, Gladys Payne, Lorene Craighead and Ruth Franklin, all of Fulton; and one brother, Roy Bosch, Fulton.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Maupin Funeral Home. The Rev. George Braden will officiate. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens, Fulton.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.
