DAVIS
Eva Davis, 94, Jefferson City, formerly of St. Louis, died July 27, 2001, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility.
She was born Feb. 17, 1907, in Brumley, a daughter of William A. and L. Victoria Meredith. She was married June 3, 1933, in Alton, Ill., to Harry D. Davis, who died Jan. 26, 1973.
She worked for Carter Carburetor for 25 years, retiring in 1972. She was a member of Kirkwood Church of Christ.
Survivors include: one sister, Janet Cook, St. Louis; and two brothers, William Meredith, Brumley, and Basil Meredith, St. Louis.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Bopp Chapel, Kirkwood. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today.

CLASS
Edith Class, 86, California, died July 27, 2001, at Katy Manor, Pilot Grove.
She was born Aug. 24, 1914, in Moniteau County, a daughter of George and Susan Eliza Odil Class.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two nieces.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California. The Rev. Roy Sparks will officiate. Burial will be in Pisgah Christian Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.

BRUCE
Lula M. Bruce, 80, California, died July 27, 2001, at Moniteau Care Center, California.
She was born Jan. 29, 1921, in Springfield, a daughter of Claud and Nellie Tindle Tharp. She was married in 1939 to Trenton Davis, who died in 1942. She was married Nov. 21, 1945, in Omaha, Neb., to George W. Bruce, who died March 8, 1996.
She was a line worker for 15 years for Ralston Purina, now Cargill Inc., and she retired as an inspector from California Manufacturing Company, California. She was a member of Pilot Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one son, George M. Bruce, Jefferson City; one daughter, Janice M. Howard, California; one brother, Don Tharp, Rock Port; and one sister, Velma Walker, Bethany; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Service, California. The Rev. Roy Sparks will officiate. Burial will be in the California City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9-10:30 a.m. Monday.

CAMPER
Donald McNeil Camper Sr., 75, Jefferson City, died July 26, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born May 1, 1926, in Independence, Kan., a son of William M. and Lucy Marie Williams Camper.
He was a graduate of Lincoln Lab School and Lincoln University. He was employed as a corrections officer with the Missouri Department of Corrections for 43 years, retiring in 1990.
He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He attended Quinn Chapel AME Church, Jefferson City, and was a member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and the Missouri State Employees Retirement Association. He had been active in the Negro Baseball League.
Survivors include: one daughter, Donna Johnson, Wichita, Kan.; one son, Donald M. Camper Jr., Jefferson City; one stepdaughter, Cheryl Rencher, Jefferson City; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. The Rev. Eva Duncan will officiate. Burial, with military honors, will be in Longview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
CATLIN
Services were today for Ruth Irene Imler Catlin, 93, Eldon, who died July 28, 2001, in Jefferson City.
She was born Jan. 28, 1908, in Barnett, a daughter of Elmer S. and Pearl Emma Deffenbaugh Imler. She was married Nov. 19, 1943, in Kansas City, to S. Hale Catlin, who died March 13, 1994.
She was employed by the J.C. Penney Company in Jefferson City for 10 years, and worked for the May Company in Los Angeles for two years. She co-owned and co-operated Dairy Queen franchises in Hutchison, Kan., and El Dorado, Kan. In 1954, she moved to Eldon, where she co-owned and co-operated Catlin Antiques until her retirement in 1992.
She was a member of First Christian Church of Eldon since 1954, where she belonged to the Cornerstone Sunday School Class and Christian Women Fellowship. She was a member of Eldon Town and Country Garden Club and the Barnett Garden Club.
She is survived by one brother, Paul Imler, Eldon.
Services were at First Christian Church of Eldon. The Rev. Shirley Williams officiated. Burial was in Greenmore Memorial Gardens, Barnett.
Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church of Eldon Building Fund.
PIRNER
Martha Catherine Pirner, 95, Fulton, died July 28, 2001, at Fulton Manor Care Center.
She was born Jan. 14, 1906, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Thomas E. and Catherine Jacques Pendleton. She was married June 15, 1926, in Jefferson City, to Henry Ferdinand Pirner, who died Sept. 8, 1971.
A 1922 graduate of St. Peter Catholic School, she was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church and the Over-Fifty Club.
Survivors include: three daughters, Margie Meller, Lohman, Eleanor Meller, St. Martin, and Lorene Brondel, Fulton; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
One grandson and one great-granddaughter preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Martin Catholic Church. The Rev. Edwin A. Schmidt will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to St. Martin Catholic Church or to Masses.
MOORE
Larry Don Moore, 40, California, died July 29, 2001, near Fortuna, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
He was born Oct. 26, 1960, in Sedalia, a son of Larry F. and Margaret Sneed Moore. His mother and stepfather, Jackie and Margaret Pace, survive in California. His father survives in Kliever. He was married Jan. 18, 1980, to Dena L. Parish, who survives at the home.
He was self-employed and owned Moore's Painting Co. He was a Baptist and attended California High School.
Other survivors include two daughters, Ginger Moore and Shayla Moore, both of the home, and two sisters, Teresa Ann Porter, Latham, and Tammy L. Imhoff, California.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California. The Rev. Ken Mathes will officiate. Burial will be in California City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday.

RUSSELL
Dorothy Lee Russell, 70, Eldon, died July 28, 2001, at her home.
She was born July 24, 1931, in Mayfield, Ky., a daughter of Jasper and Annie Deviney Thomas.
Survivors include: one son, Steven D. Russell, Temple, Texas ; and three grandsons.
One infant son, Joseph Riley Russell, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Rekus Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Jerry Frye will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Dooley Cemetery, near Eldon.
GRIMES
James Roland "Skip" Grimes, 64, Versailles, died July 29, 2001, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
He was born Sept. 22, 1936, in DeNova, Colo., a son of Jasper R. and Lenora Grace Hefty Grimes. He was married March 26, 1971, in Pueblo, Colo., to Bobbie Louise Coggins, who survives at the home.
He was a Navy veteran. He was employed with Clark's Retreading for 16 years and with the Gates Rubber Company for 13 years before retiring. He was a member of First Baptist Church, the Big Boy Toys Club and a charter member of the Tractor Club, all in Versailles.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Carole J. Gaither, Kansas City, Tonja Randolph, Versailles, and Sandy Walker, Nevada; one stepson, Richard Wallace, Arlington, Texas ; one brother, Gene Grimes, Rantoul, Kan.; one sister, Janice Kay Retherford, Stover; and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, Versailles. The Rev. Todd Forman will officiate. Burial will be in Stover Cemetery. Services also will be at noon Aug. 11 at the Lutheran Church, Otis, Colo.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Versailles.
Memorials are suggested to the Relay for Life-Hawaiian Punch Team from Pioneer Restaurant.
BRANSTETTER
Ralph Branstetter, 82, Eldon, died July 29, 2001, in Jefferson City.
He was born Aug. 20, 1918, in Brandon, a son of Joseph and Martha Kerfoot Branstetter. He was married Feb. 19, 1939, to Goldie Sidebottom, who survives at the home.
He was a lifelong member of the Assembly of God Church, Barnett.
Other survivors include: two sons, Dwayne Branstetter, Belton, and Bob Branstetter, Independence; one daughter, Nellie Bryant, Oceanside, Calif.; one brother, Rufus Branstetter, Barnett; one sister, Murriel Joiner, Barnett; four half sisters, Mary Davis, Stover, Evelyn Winters, Jefferson City, Joyce Vore, Lebanon, and Hazel Keck, Eldon; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at New Life Assembly of God. The Rev. Kenneth Wagner will officiate. Burial will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens, Barnett.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon.
