COOK

Services were today for Delmar D. Cook, 60, Belle, who died Aug. 6, 2001, at Capital Region Medical Center.

He was born April 8, 1941, in Lake Spring, a son of George and Dorothy Walker Cook. His mother survives in Belle. He was married Aug. 2, 1961, to Sandra Keller, who survives at the home.

He worked at Kingsford for 28 years before retiring. He was a member of Liberty Church of Christ.

Other survivors include: four sons, Steve Cook, Jeff Cook, Russell Cook, all of  Jefferson City, and Scott Cook, Belle; four daughters, Becky Dotson and Christina Robertson, both of Belle, and Debbie Honse and Annette Martin, both of Vienna; four sisters, Verlee Berry, Cora Steen and Brenda Martin, all of Belle, and Barbara Hollingsworth, Owensvile; four brothers, Billy Cook and Greg Cook, both of Belle, Bob Cook, Rock Springs, Wyo., and Roger Cook, Alton; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Two grandsons preceded him in death.

Services were at Liberty Church of Christ, Belle. Burial was in Skaggs Chapel Cemetery, Belle.

Arrangements were under the direction of Sassman's Funeral Service, Belle.

SPILLARS

Tinnie Lee Spillars, 92,  Jefferson City, died Aug. 8, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born Feb. 11, 1909, in Mokane, a son of Douglas and Linnie Sanders Spillars. He was married Nov. 1, 1951, in Fulton, to Burtie Greenwood, who survives at the home.

He had worked with the railroads and later sold cars for Wrens-Bransteretter. After moving to  Jefferson City, he worked at Lincoln University and later retired as a corrections officer with the Missouri Department of Corrections.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Juanita Schmer,  Jefferson City, and Shirley Neal, Fayette; two stepdaughters, Chrystena Witt, Fulton, and Loreta Raithel,  Jefferson City; two stepsons, Norman Day and Gerall Day, both of Fulton; three brothers, Woodrow Spillars, Cramer Spillars and Leroy Spillars; 28 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Debo Funeral Home, Fulton. Bruce Williamson will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today.

McCAUL

Jerrelyn T. McCaul, 76, Stover, died Aug. 9, 2001, at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach.

He was born June 19, 1925, in North Dakota, a son of Marvin and Mary Mitchell McCaul.

He was a retired injection mold plant supervisor.

Survivors include: one son, Jerry Lee McCaul, Shawnee, Okla.; two daughters, Linda Ulberg, Stover, and Diana Lee McCaul, Winnetka, Calif.; two brothers, Jack McCaul, state of Washington , and Howard McCaul, state of California; one sister, Marlene Yowell, state of Arizona; and six grandchildren.

The remains were cremated.

Arrangements were under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.

WILSON

Richard Lee Wilson, 61, Eldon, died Aug. 9, 2001, in  Jefferson City.

He was born Nov. 9, 1939, in Moniteau County, a son of Joseph Earl Wilson and Eula Pearl Cornett. He was married June 25, 1982, in Eldon, to Patricia Ann Spencer, who survives at the home.

He was employed at the Lodge of the Four Seasons, Rush Farms and H&S Trucking before running RP&L Trucking.

Other survivors include: two sons, Richard Earl Wilson, Shelton, Wash., and Daniel Kent Russell, Oak Harbor, Wash.; five daughters, Jerri Lynn Wilson,  Jefferson City, Rebecca Sue Aulgur, Slater, Jo Ann Brucks, Glasgow, Rita Marie Beachamp, Olean, and Lori Ann Wilson, Eldon; one sister, Goldie Marshall, Jamestown; one brother, Monroe Irwin, Kansas City; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Danny Graham will officiate. Burial will be in Dooley Cemetery, Eldon.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.

WOODS

George W. Woods Jr., 82,  Jefferson City, died Aug. 9, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born Dec. 18, 1918, in New Bloomfield, a son of George W. Sr. and Catherine Salisbury Woods.

He was a lifelong resident of the central Missouri area and attended St. Peters School. He was employed with Loveall Construction Company, Edgar Perry Construction Company and Daniels International.

He was a member of St. Peters Church and the Hoisting Engineers Local 513, St. Louis.

Survivors include: two sisters, Mildred McCallister, Hollister, and Frances Woods,  Jefferson City; and one brother, John Woods, Montgomery, Ill.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. Donald Lammers will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Boone County.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday.

Memorials are suggested to the Central Missouri Kidney Association.

HOBBS

Grace Mae Hobbs, 76, California, died Aug. 11, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.

She was born May 23, 1925, in Morgan County, Ky., a daughter of Elsie Gregory. She was married June 3, 1944, in Childress, Texas , to Earl Hobbs Jr., who died Oct. 19, 1999.

She graduated from Union High School, Sweet Home, Ore. She was a member of Cloverport Chapter-Order of the Eastern Star, Cloverport, Ky.

A homemaker, she had lived in Hardinsburg, Ky., and was a member of Hardinsburg United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: one son, Stephen Hobbs, Tifton, Ga.; one daughter, Jacque Parish, California; one sister, Hannah Judd, Greensburg, Ky.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg. The Rev. Richard Held will officiate. Burial will be in Cloverport Cemetery, Cloverport.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening.

Memorials are suggested to California Senior Center, 107 W. Versailles Ave., California, Mo. 65018.

SETSER

John A. "Johnny" Setser, 93, Tuscumbia, died Aug. 12, 2001, in  Jefferson City.

He was born Sept. 25, 1907, in Iberia, a son of C.C. "Lum" and Stella Musick Setser. He was married Jan. 19, 1929, in Tuscumbia, to Kathryn Ruth Burd Setser, who died Nov. 22, 1992.

He was a member of Mt. Zion Christian Church, near Tuscumbia. He attended Tuscumbia High School and the Iberia Academy. He worked for Miller County as a deputy sheriff for 20 years and retired in 1973 as a sergeant with the Missouri Department of Corrections.

Survivors include: one daughter, Kathryn Abbott, Tuscumbia; one son, Jerry Setser, Eldon; one sister, Sarah Rapp, Sedalia; one brother, C.C. Setser, Scottsdale, Ariz.; two grandsons, five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. Charles Worstell and the Rev. Gene Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Tuscumbia.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to Mt. Zion Cemetery or a charity of the donor's choice.

PATTERSON

Marceline Ann Patterson, 78,  Jefferson City, died Aug. 12, 2001, at Oak View Living Center.

She was born Sept. 4, 1922, in Linn, a daughter of Samuel S. and Edith Ida Fisher Bacon. She was married July 17, 1942, in Hermann, to William Glenn Patterson, who survives at the home.

A lifelong resident of the Central Missouri area, she attended school in Linn. She was a homemaker and was employed with the Missouri Adjutant General's Office; the Missouri Office of Fiscal Affairs; the Missouri Treasurer's Office; and the Missouri Manufactured Housing Association.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church; the Order of the Eastern Star, Eugene Chapter 386; the Civil Air Patrol; and volunteered at St. Marys Health Center.

Other survivors include: one son, William Glenn Patterson II,  Jefferson City; one daughter, Judith L. Mobrice, Holts Summit; one brother, Joseph Clifford Bacon,  Jefferson City; one sister, Nellie Orlies Lytton,  Jefferson City; and four grandchildren.

One granddaughter preceded her in death.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dorothy Lairmore will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at Freeman Mortuary with an Order of the Eastern Star Service at 7 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.

McDONALD

Neva H. McDonald, 86, Fulton, died Aug. 11, 2001, at Callaway Community Hospital, Fulton.

She was born March 23, 1915, in Reform, a daughter of Sterling and Bessie Coats Shiverdecker. She was married February 14, 1939, in  Jefferson City, to Elvin McDonald, who preceded her in death.

She was employed in the bindery department at Ovid Bell Press for 21 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Church of God Holiness, Fulton, the Ovid Bell Retiree's Association and the Stroke Survivor's Association.

Survivors include: one daughter, Linda Vieth, Dubuque, Iowa; one son, Joe McDonald, New Bloomfield; two brothers, George H. Shiverdecker and Sterling Price "Jack" Shiverdecker, both of Fulton; three sisters, Treva Fred, Columbia, and Naomi Boone and Mary Jane Salmons, both of Fulton; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of God Holiness. Bruce Williamson and the Rev. I.C. Holland will officiate. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens, Fulton.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Maupin Funeral Home, Fulton.

Memorials are suggested to Gideons International or to a charity of the donor's choice.
