WEGMAN
Jacob Bernard "Jack" Wegman, 81, Jefferson City, died Sept. 5, 2001, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 6, 1920, in Jefferson City, a son of Leo and Rose Ann Westerman Wegman. He was married Oct. 12, 1944, in Westphalia, to Mary Jane Schauwecker, who survives at the home.
He was a 1938 graduate of Jefferson City High School. He worked for Manor Baking Company, the Cole County Sheriff's Department and the Missouri Attorney General's Office.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles and Western Catholic Union.
Other survivors include: one son, John L. Wegman, Jefferson City; two daughters, Donna L. Kuebler, Jefferson City, and Patricia A. Prenger, Bartlett, Ill.; one sister, Sr. Rose Miriam Wegman, SSND, St. Louis; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
One infant grandson preceded him in death.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. Gregory L. Higley will officiate. Entombment will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Conception Endowment Fund.
LEUTHEN
John B. Leuthen, 84, St. Louis, formerly of Jefferson City, died Sept. 5, 2001, at Alexian Brothers Sherbrooke Village, St. Louis.
He was born March 22, 1917, in Jefferson City, a son of Joseph and Elizabeth Cortvrient Leuthen. He was married in 1941, in St. Louis, to Berdell Flaus, who survives at the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Daniel Leuthen, St. Louis; two daughters, Jeanne Leuthen, St. Louis, and Rosemary Herzog, Kenner, La.; one sister, Mary Hentges, Jefferson City; and seven grandchildren.
One son, Paul G. Leuthen, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Church, St. Louis. Additional services will be at a later date in Jefferson City.
Arrangements are under the direction of Kriegshauser Funeral Home, St. Louis.
GOFF
Robert L. "Bob" Goff, 62, Holts Summit, died Sept. 5, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born Aug. 26, 1939, in Brookfield, a son of Carl and Ethyl Coleman Goff. He was married Aug. 21, 1964, in the state of Maryland, to Nelda Crocker, who survives at the home.
He attended school in New Bloomfield and was a self-employed truck driver. He was a member of Dix Road Church of Christ.
Other survivors include: one son, Kevin L Goff, Kearney; one brother, Carl Goff, Holts Summit; one sister, Shirley Hurley, Holts Summit; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home. The Rev. Brent Newton will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday.
Memorials are suggested to Dix Road Church of Christ or St. Marys Oncology Department.
CAREW
Mary Ann Carew, 79, Jefferson City, died Sept. 5, 2001, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility.
She was born March 5, 1922, in Jefferson City, a daughter of William L. and Katherine Lock Renner. She was married July 3, 1946, in Jefferson City, to Joseph W. Carew, who died March 25, 1984.
A 1940 graduate of St. Peter High School, she attended Chillicothe Business College, Chillicothe. She was executive secretary at the Missouri Department of Corrections and other state agencies until her retirement in 1979.
She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, St. Peter's Ladies Sodality, Daughters of Isabella, St. Marys Hospital Auxiliary and Church Women United.
She was a charter member of Meadow Lake Acres Country Club, and a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 1003, American Legion Auxiliary Post 5 and the DAV Auxiliary.
Survivors include: one daughter, Kathy J. Carew, Holts Summit; one son, Stephen W. Carew, San Jose, Calif.; and one sister, Catherine J. Nilges, Jefferson City.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph S. Corel will officiate. Private family burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

AMOS
Ada H. Amos, 86, Jefferson City, died Sept. 8, 2001, at the Jefferson City Manor Nursing Center.
She was born Aug. 9, 1915, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Otis and Minnie Willmeno DeWitt. She was married Aug. 19, 1948, in Jefferson City, to Virgil C. Amos, who died on Feb. 18, 1974.
She attended Jefferson City Public Schools, was a homemaker, and was employed at Tweedie Footwear Factory for many years. She was a past member of the Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Roy Sone Post 1005, and a member of the Auxiliary of the American Legion, Roscoe Enloe Post 5.
Survivors include: two daughters, Melba Bickel and Jo Ann Rackers, both of Jefferson City; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Freeman Mortuary Chapel, Jefferson City. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation is 10-11 a.m. Tuesday.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimers Disease and Related Disorders Association.
HOOD
Andrew "Andy" J. Hood, 87, Jefferson City, died Sept. 6, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born May 26, 1914, in Ford County, Kan., a son of Clarence J. and Josephine Louise Vogel Hood. He was married Sept. 6, 1942, in St. Elizabeth, to Gertrude Bax, who survives at the home.
He attended Conception Abbey Seminary, Conception, for high school and college. He retired in 1976 from Montgomery Ward as a department manager. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2693.
Other survivors include: two sons, Dennis Hood and Larry Hood, both of Jefferson City; four daughters, Janet Ritter and Geraldine Schaefer, both of Jefferson City, Dorothy Rooney, Kansas City, and Peggy Manion, Windham, Maine; two brothers, Ed Hood and Bill Hood, both of Jefferson City; four sisters, Rose Lammers, St. Louis, Anna Mae Knipp, Tipton, Beatrice Jobson, Sedalia, and Louise Schuster, Blackwater; 22 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Joanie Hood, preceded him in death.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at noon Monday at the St. Martin's Catholic Church. Fr. Ed Schmidt, Msgr. Joseph W. Baker and Fr. Donald W. Lammers will officiate. Burial will be in St. Martins Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to St. Martin's Church Building Fund or the St. Peter's Church Building Fund.
HUNT
Billie Joe (B.J.) Hunt, 71, Macks Creek, died Sept. 7, 2001, at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach.
He was born Dec. 17, 1929, in Macks Creek, a son of Albert and Argie Eidson Hunt. He was married Aug. 30, 1952, to Janie Hanks, who survives at the home.
He attended schools of Pleasant Grove, Hack Ridge and Macks Creek. He joined the U.S. Army on Aug. 18, 1948, and received the Purple Heart, and the Bronze and Silver Stars for injuries he received during the Korean War. He was a member of the V.F. W. in Buffalo, and he owned and operated Hunt Trucking Company for many years.
Other survivors include: eight children, Tommy Hunt, Yukon Oklahoma, Lynn and Alfred Hunt, both of Macks Creek, Lisa McGuire, Eldridge, Terry Barclay, Macks Creek, and Charlie, Chad and Katie Hunt, all of the home; 22 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one half-sister, Bonnie Green, Macks Creek; and two half-brothers, Bob Laughlin, Macks Creek, and Ethan Laughlin, Kansas City.
He was preceded in death by one son, Billie Joe Hunt Jr.
Services are 1 p.m. Monday at the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Macks Creek. The Rev. Glen Eidson and the Rev. Dean Rooffener will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at Hedges Funeral Home, Macks Creek.
Memorials are suggested to an education fund for Charlie, Chad and Katie.
