BRUNE
Joseph C. Brune, 91, Vienna, died Sept. 10, 2001, at Phelps County Regional Medical Center, Rolla.
He was born Nov. 7, 1909, in Maries County, a son of Peter and Philomenia Brune. He was married in 1937 to Louise Wulff, who died in 1987.
He was a member of the Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Brinktown. He was on the board of directors for Daricraft, Producers Creamery, Maries County Fair, Central Electric and Three Rivers Electric Co-op.
Survivors include: one daughter, JoAnn Feeler, St. James; one sister, Hilda Winkelman, Jefferson City; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Guardian Angels Catholic Church. The Rev. Sylvester Bauer and the Rev. I. Medina will officiate. Burial will be in Guardian Angels Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Kordes Funeral Home, Vienna.
COLLIER
Judy R. Collier, 50, Belle, died Sept. 9, 2001, in Jefferson City.
She was born July 27, 1951, in Bonne Terre, a daughter of Raymond and Nellie Miller Easter. Her parents survive in Farmington. She was married Aug. 8, 1987, in Belle, to James Collier, who survives at the home.
She worked at the State Emergency Management Agency.
Other survivors include: two sons, Jason L. West, Fort Campbell, Ky., and Drew A. West, Battlefield; and two granddaughters.
The remains were cremated.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Sassmann's Funeral Service, Belle.

DALLMEYER
Bertha Dallmeyer, 93, Denver, died Sept. 1, 2001, at the Hospice of Metro Denver.
She was born in 1908, in Hoffentiel, Russia, a daughter of John and Dorothy Geist. She was married in 1928, in Des Plaines, Ill., to Arthur Dallmeyer, who died in 1987.
She came to America in 1913 and lived in Northbrook, Ill. She was a member of the Green Thumbs. She moved to Denver in 1990.
Survivors include: two sons, Kenneth Dallmeyer, Aurora, Colo., and Ronald Dallmeyer, Bonnots Mill; one brother, Henry Geist, Vernon Hills, Ill.; four grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
The remains were cremated.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Randhill Park Cemetery, Arlington Heights, Ill.
Memorials are suggested to Immanual Lutheran Church, Palatine, Ill.
Arrangements are under direction of the Dove Society, Denver.
BARCHENSKI
Edward A. Barchenski Sr., 73, Osage Beach, died Sept. 11, 2001, at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach.
He was born Nov. 3, 1927, in Whatley, Mass., a son of Kasimer and Anelia Rudnieke Barchenski. He was married Oct. 3, 1961, in Omaha, Neb., to Diane Holland, who survives in Osage Beach.
An Air Force veteran, he was a 30-year-member of Elks Lodge 2517, Osage Beach. He was an original member of the Osage Beach Volunteer Fire Department and was a past member of the Lions Club.
Other survivors include: one son, Edward "Chip" Barchenski Jr., Eldon; four daughters, Leslie Zinser, Shawnee, Kan., Stephanie Hines, Lancaster, Kan., Dana Johnson, Rushville, and Dallas "Sam" Barchenski, Osage Beach; one brother, Joseph Barchenski, South Deerfield, Mass.; one sister, Helen Gray, Scottsdale, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Elks Lodge, Osage Beach.
Memorials are suggested to the family.

CALDERON
Mary E. "Jerry" Calderon, 88, Jefferson City, died Sept. 11, 2001, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility.
She was born Jan. 31, 1913, in Dallas, a daughter of Matthew M. and Jessie B. Cooper Johns. She was married in September 1933 to Louis G. Calderon, who died in 1989.
A graduate of Forest High School, Dallas, she was employed by Ling Temco Vought Credit Union until her retirement in 1975. She was a resident of the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas , area until 1998, when she moved to Jefferson City.
She was a member of St. John Apostle Catholic Church, Fort Worth, and the Count Marthas 2323 of Catholic Daughters of the America. She was a member of the Equestrian Club and did volunteer work in the church office and at Four Seasons Nursing Home.
After moving to Jefferson City she became a member of St. Joseph Cathedral and the Women's Association.
Survivors include: two daughters, Dee Brown, Charlotte, N.C., and Sandy Spalding, Jefferson City; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Cathedral. The Rev. David Buescher will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, the Vitae Society or St. Joseph Cathedral.
KLAFFENBACH
Sister Karen Marie Klaffenbach, 42, Paola, Kan., died Sept. 12, 2001, in Paola.
She was born Nov. 28, 1958, in St. Louis, a daughter of John Sr. and Phyllis Klaffenbach. Her mother survives in Jefferson City.
She entered the Ursuline Novitiate in 1981, and professed final vows in 1985. A graduate of Helias High School, she earned a bachelor's degree from St. Mary College, Leavenworth, Kan.; a master's degree from St. John's University, Collegeville, Minn.; and attended St. Mary of the Lake, Mundelein, Ill.
She taught at Bishop Miege High School and Queen of the Holy Rosary School. She worked in religious education at Holy Spirit Catholic Church; Cure of Ars Catholic Church; St. Lawrence Catholic Campus Center at the University of Kansas; and University of St. Mary of the Lake/Mundelein Seminary.
She was a member of the Ursuline Sisters executive council and served as vocation director.
Other survivors include: one sister, Lisa Bosch, West Chester, Ohio; and three brothers, Joel Klaffenbach, Jefferson City, John Klaffenbach, San Diego, and David Klaffenbach, Battle Ground, Wash.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Ursuline Chapel, Paola. Burial will be in Ursuline Cemetery, Paola.
A wake service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at Ursuline Chapel.
Memorials are suggested to the Ursuline Sisters of Paola, Kan.

PORTER
John N. "Jack" Porter Sr., 94, Laurie, died Sept. 11, 2001, at Laurie Care Center.
He was born July 8, 1907, in St. Paul, Minn., a son of Herbert C. and Harriet Wiley Porter. He was married Sept. 3, 1926, to Helen M. Quentin, who died May 26, 1998.
A Navy veteran, he was a retired division manager for the Gas Service Company, Mission, Kan. He was a member of the Shrine of Saint Patrick Catholic Church, Laurie; Chamber of Commerce; Optimist Club; the Kansas City Club; Indian Hills Country Club; and the Carriage Club.
Survivors include: two sons, John N. Porter Jr., Sunrise Beach, and Quentin H. Porter, Omaha, Neb.; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Margaret A. Porter, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Cemetery Mausoleum, Kansas City. The Rev. Fred J. Barnett will officiate. Interment will bein the mausoleum.
Arrangements are under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie.
REEVE
Walter R. Reeve, 81, Gravois Mills, died Sept. 12, 2001, at Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles.
He was born Sept. 13, 1919, in Davenport, Iowa, a son of C.G. and Oakie Lang Reeve. He was married June 22, 1942, in Tampa, Fla., to Juanita Wells, who died March 20, 1996.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a pilot at the Illinois Department of Conservation, and also served as a pilot with the Illinois National Guard until his retirement.
He had been a resident of Gravois Mills since 1979.
He is survived by one niece, Judy Slaughter, Bethany.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Champaign, Ill.
Arrangements are under the direction of Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Versailles.
PRICE
Calvin M. Price, 80, Jefferson City, died Sept. 10, 2001, at Capital Region Medical Center.
