BOSS
Fred George "Peck" Boss, 80, Chamois, died Sept. 18, 2001.
He was born March 15, 1921, in Chamois, a son of Otto and Florence Schollmeyer Boss. He was married Aug. 5, 1950, in Chamois, to Hazel Hackmann, who survives at the home.
A farmer since 1941, he worked for the Chamois Shoe Factory. He was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Chamois.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Pauline Forck, Jefferson City; two brothers, Larry Boss and Otto Boss, both of Chamois; five sisters, Dora White , Alice White , Edna Helle and Evelyn Haslag, all of Chamois, and Alverda Koetting, Sedalia; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. The Rev. Pat Dowling, the Rev. Frederick Elskamp and the Rev. Tom Duggan will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Meyer-Hilke-Millard Funeral Home, Chamois, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
RAITHEL
Leona Marie Raithel, 74, Jefferson City, died Sept. 18, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born Nov. 5, 1926, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Leo and Mathilda Kroll Scheuler. She was married Nov. 24, 1947, in Jefferson City, to Elbert Herman Raithel, who survives at the home.
A homemaker, she had been employed with the Jefferson City Baking Company, and later as a bookkeeper with Elbert Raithel Contractor.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Immaculata Club, Prayer Line, the Card Club and Cole County Extension.
She volunteered at Immaculate Conception Catholic School.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Peggy L. Pearl, Pam A. Foresman and Connie M. Wegman, all of Jefferson City; five brothers, Raymond Scheuler, Bill Scheuler and Ronald Scheuler, all of Jefferson City, Larry Scheuler, Lake Ozark, and Leo Scheuler, Mexico; one sister, Doris Markway, Wardsville; six grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
One infant son, Christopher Robert Raithel, and one infant daughter, Mary Elizabeth Raithel, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. Timothy Tatro will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Conception Endowment Fund or the Helias Foundation.
JENKINS
Billy Gene Jenkins, 61, Roach, died Sept. 17, 2001, at his home.
He was born Aug. 14, 1940, in Salem, Ark., a son of Hubert A. and Alma K. Fields Jenkins. His father survives in Blue Springs. He was married April 21, 1979, to Patricia Lawson, who survives at the home.
He graduated from high school in Independence. He was a heavy equipment operator and owned his own construction company. He later worked for Wilson Plumbing and retired from Kissick Construction in 1999. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Climax Springs.
Other survivors include: one son, Billy Gene Jenkins Jr., Enid, Okla.; one daughter, Anna Louise Sevier, Whitesboro, Texas ; three stepdaughters, Penny Ann Cross, Nevada, Cathleen Gale Arnold, Independence, and Laura Lee Cross, Wilmington, N.C.; three sisters, Madlyn Waterfield, Independence, Jonnie Oliver, Texarkana, Ark., and Faye Maine, state of Alaska; four granddaughters; five step grandchildren; one great-grandson; and one step great-grandson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. Pastor Darrell DeVenney will officiate. Burial will be in Parrack Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to Faith Baptist Church or to the Benton County Hospice.
GREMP
Elizabeth Widman Gremp, Waco, Texas , died Sept. 21, 2001, at Caring Hearts Hospital, Waco.
She was born Sept. 29, 1912, in Maries County, a daughter of George W. and Love Cuthbertson Baxter Widman. She was married to Norman Joseph Grempezynski, who died Sept. 23, 1982.
She graduated from Dixon High School in 1930. She was a Girl Scout leader and a member of Parent Teachers Association and Austin Avenue Methodist Church of Waco. A homemaker, she worked at Neiman Marcus in Dallas.
Survivors include: one daughter, Bettye Joe Brown; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
One grandson preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon. The Rev. Wilbur Warman will officiate. Burial will be in Dixon Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday.

ANDERSON
Louise M. Anderson, 83, Jefferson City, died Sept. 25, 2001, at Jefferson City Manor Care Center.
She was born Dec. 29, 1917, in Osage Bluff, a daughter of Henry and Elanora Viesmann Schubert. She was married Nov. 8, 1941, to Wilbert Linsenbart, who preceded her in death. She was married May 2, 1953, to Robert G. Anderson, who preceded her in death.
She attended school in Osage Bluff.
She worked for Oberman's Factory, Cheesebrough Ponds, Busch's Florist and Scholastics.
She owned and operated Lakeside Motel, Apache Flats, from 1969 until 1989.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Circle 4 at the church.
Survivors include: one son, Kim Anderson, Jefferson City; two daughters, Wilberta Wright, Alexandria, Va., and Terry Blanton, St. Peters; two sisters, Dorothy Mueller, Honey Creek, and Mabel Schubert, Jefferson City; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. John Hobratschk will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church.
BRANDON
Ruby E. Brandon, 85, Jefferson City, died Sept. 20, 2001, at her home.
She was born Aug. 27, 1916, in Joplin, a daughter of Adrain and Jessie E. Black Craig. She was married to James R. Brandon, who died Jan. 23, 1983.
A lifelong resident of the Central Missouri area, she had been employed by the Missouri Division of Employment Security for several years. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include one brother, John W. Steelsmith, Reno, Nev.
Private graveside services will be Friday in Jefferson City National Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.

BYLER
Robert "Tom" Byler, 50, Columbia, died Sept. 24, 2001, in Callaway County.
He was born Nov. 18, 1950, in Boonville, a son of Robert D. and Mary Twilchell Byler. His mother, Mary Malloy, survives in Columbia.
A Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, he worked for the University of Missouri-Columbia. He was a member of the Eagles in Columbia.
Other survivors include two brothers, Rick Byler, Columbia, and Marty Edmiston, Ashland, and one sister, Barb Wheelock, Columbia.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Robinson Funeral Home, Ashland. The Rev. Jack Baize will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Hartsburg.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday.

COX
Lester C. Cox, 82, Eldon, died Sept. 25, 2001, in Eldon.
He was born Oct. 22, 1918, in Hugo, Okla., a son of William T. and Julia Ann Campbell Cox. He was married to Margaret Cox, who survives in Monroe, La. He was married Dec. 15, 1975, in Wichita Falls, Texas , to Marie Miller, who survives at the home.
He was a retired truck driver for Olon Craft Paper Company.
Other survivors include: one son, Mickey Cox, Houston, Texas ; two daughters, Elaine MyGee, West Plains, and Ann Fair, Monroe, La.; one stepdaughter, Carlene Plank, Eldon; two brothers, Raymond Cox, Ada, Okla., and Billy Cox, Oklahoma City; six grandchildren; three step grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Randall Bunch and the Rev. Todd Forman will officiate. Burial will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens, Barnett.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Thursday.
