TOEBBEN
Mary Elizabeth Toebben, 76, Seattle, Wash., formerly of Jefferson City, died, Dec. 1, 2001, at Northwest Hospital, Seattle.
She was born Dec. 16, 1924, in Eldon, a daughter of Jesse and Loma Brown. She was married in 1947 to Stanley B. Toebben, who survives at the home.
She attended school in Eldon and Jefferson City. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church, Jefferson City, where she taught Sunday school and was church pianist. She lived in Seattle for the past ten years and attended Open Door Baptist Church. She was employed for several years at Harold G. Butzer Mechanical Contractor. She worked for the Missouri State Division of Health until her retirement.
Survivors include: one son, Roger Toebben, Atlanta, Ga.; one daughter, Donna Cease, Mill Creek, Wash.; one sister, Betty Shoemaker, Ft. Scott, Kan.; and two grandchildren.
One son, Richard C. Toebben, died in 197l.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. The Rev. C.D. Butler will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to Immanuel Baptist Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Buescher Memorial Home.
EDWARDS
Elizabeth Catherine Edwards, 85, Jefferson City, died, Dec. 4, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born Feb. 8, 1916, in Washington , a daughter of Joseph C. and Catherine Rose Hagedorn Haberberger. She was married June 1, 1965, in Tuscumbia, to Homer William Edwards, who died July 12, 1995.
She attended St. Francis Borgia school in Washington . She worked for International Shoe Factory. She was employed at St. Mary's Hospital as cafeteria manager for 15 years until her retirement. She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church, St. Mary's Hospital Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary 1003.
Survivors include: one son, William George Orr, Phoenix, Ariz.; one daughter, Bonnie Jean Larkins, Jefferson City; three sisters, Agnes Depew, Florissant, Berniece Briggs, Washington , and Addelle McCrary, Stafford, Va.; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Peters Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph Corel will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at Buescher Memorial Home.
Memorials are suggested to St. Peters Catholic Church Building Fund or the Samaritan Center.
McKINNEY
Veronica Ann McKinney, 36, Holts Summit, died, Dec. 5, 2001, at her home.
She was born Oct. 30, 1965, in Boonville, a daughter of Louis F. and Alice P. Barlow Larm. Her mother survives in Boonville. She was married June 24, 1988, in Boonville, to Gregory Robert McKinney, who survives at the home.
She was a graduate of Boonville High School and attended the University of Missouri-Columbia. She worked for the Boonville Daily News and State Farm Insurance Company and Colonial Insurance, both in Columbia. She was employed with Missouri Farm Bureau Insurance.
She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church. She was co-director of the Jefferson City Kids Wrestling Club and was a member of the Jefferson City Jays football and wrestling booster clubs. She was a past member of the Cooper County Sheriff's Department Women's Auxiliary.
Other survivors include; two daughters, Jessica Nichole McKinney, Jefferson City, and Brittany Billings McKinney, of the home; three sons, Gregory R. McKinney, Jr., Holts Summit, and Jacob Carleton McKinney, and, Zachary Louis McKinney, both of the home; three brothers, Roger Larm, Fort Worth, Texas , David Larm, Platte City, and Douglas Larm, Hudson, Ohio; and one grandson.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at St. Peters Catholic Church. The Rev. Don Lammers will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors, Jefferson City.
Memorials are suggested to St. Peters Catholic Church.
OBERKRAM
Charles E. "Chuck" Oberkram, 77, Jefferson City, died, Dec. 5, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
Arrangements are incomplete at Freeman Mortuary.
WALTHER
Angela Anna Walther, 91, St. Thomas, died Dec. 5, 2001, at Hospice of Jefferson City.
She was born March 23, 1910, in Meta, a daughter of John and Mary Dubbert Wankum. She was married April 16, 1929, in St. Thomas, to Emil J "Bud" Walther, who died Nov. 8, 1976.
She worked as a teller for Meta State Bank for 20 years. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, St. Thomas, St. Ann's Sodality, the Ladies Quilting Circle, and the Over 50 Club. She also worked on community projects in St. Thomas.
Survivors include: one daughter, Lucille Monat, St. Louis; one son, Thomas Walther, St. Thomas; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. The Rev. Don Antweiler will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in St. Thomas, with a senior citizens rosary at 4:30 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to St. Thomas School or Hospice of Jefferson City.

ARMENTO
Paula Jean Willett Armento, 41, Albany, New York, died Dec. 6, 2001, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn.
She was born March 15, 1960 in Columbia, a daughter of William H. and Zaylah Barnes Willett. Her mother survives in Hallsville. She was married on June 14, 1997 in Columbia to David Armento, who survives at the home.
She was a member of Praise Assembly of God Church in Columbia. She was formerly employed with University of Missouri Bookstore.
Other survivors include: three sisters, Cindy Crane, Hallsville, Joanie Willett, Russellville, and Pam Bax, Jefferson City.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Praise Assembly of God Church, Columbia, with the Rev. Dennis Stuart officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Columbia.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia.

GOWIN
John T. Gowin Sr., 87, Fulton, died Dec. 8, 2001, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
He was born Oct. 17, 1914, the son of Frank Lee and Cordia Bentley Gowin. He was married Jan. 24, 1946, in Fulton, to Adine Starkey, who survives at the home.
He worked for more than 30 years at Harbison Walker Brick Refactory and was a farmer.
Other survivors include: one son, John T. Gowin Jr., Fulton; three daughters, Patricia Payne and Mary Pendleton, both of Fulton, and Nancy Schutt, Hermann; three brothers, Richard Gowin, state of California, Bob Gowin, Fulton, and Roy Gowin, Wisconsin; three sisters, Annabelle Brandonberg, Wellsville, Ruby Wheat and Daisy Perry, both of Fulton; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton, with the Rev. Weldoin Forman officiating. Burial will follow in Callaway Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday.
Memorials are suggested to the Coyote Hills Foundation.
MOOTS
E. Marvin Moots, 53, Jefferson City, died Dec. 7, 2001, at the Oakview Skilled Living Center.
He was born July 16, 1948, in Kirksville, a son of Ernest and Mary McLin Moots. He was married Sept. 20, 1970, in Kirksville, to Julie Zimmer, who survives at the home.
He graduated from Northeast Missouri State University in 1971. He worked for the Department of Natural Resources from 1973-2000, until his health forced him to retire. He and his wife moved from Macon to Jefferson City in 1995. He was a member of the Macon United Methodist Church.
Other survivors include: his mother, Mary Moots, Kirksville; three sons, Bryan Moots, Macon, Eric Moots, Macon, and Mark Moots, of the home; three daughters, Katherine Howard, Powell, Wy., Sarah Foster, Jefferson City, and Jill Moots, Jefferson City; two brothers, Jack Moots and Doug Moots, Columbia; one sister, Kelly Crossland, England; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon with the Rev. Allen Vancil officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Macon.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association and can be delivered to the funeral home.
PROPST
Services were Sunday for Clarence Lee Propst, 59, Gladstone, who died Dec. 7, 2001, at Evanston Regional Hospital, Evanston, Wyo.
He was born July 25, 1942, in Jefferson City, a son of Clarence G. and Dorothy Hemeyer Propst. He was married June 26, 1987, in Kansas City, to Mary Van Oster, who survives at the home.An Army veteran, he was a truck driver for Yellow Freight Co., Kansas City. He also had worked for Over Nite Transportation. He was a member of Teamsters Local 41, Greater Kansas City Jim Beam Bottle Collectors, the Gun Club and Masonic Lodge. He was a York Rite Mason and a Shriner.
Other survivors include: three sons, Anthony Propst and Jeffery Propst, both of Raymore, and Michael Propst, Excelsior Springs; one stepdaughter, Cheryl Heitman, Gladstone; three brothers, John Propst, Kansas City, and David Propst and Dennis Propst, both of Jefferson City; two sisters, Peggy Heidbrieder, Lohman, and Jane Schneider, Jefferson City; and seven grandchildren.
Services were at Northland Funeral Care, Kansas City. The remains were cremated.
