ROSE
Ruth E. Rose, 90, Chamois, died, Dec. 8, 2001, at her home.
She was born March 15, 1911, in Minot, N.D., a daughter of Frank and Erma LaGress. She was married Dec. 21, 1945, in Marysville, California, to Elton E. Rose, who died June 8, 1986.
She had been a resident of Osage County since moving from St. Louis in 1963. She was a homemaker. She also was employed at the Chamois hat factory and Mosby's Publishing Company. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Linn.
Survivors include: one son, Dennis E. Rose, Chamois.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn. The Rev. Tony Townley will officiate. Burial will be in Chamois City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to St. John's United Methodist Church.
SMITH
Lucille Smith, 86, Jefferson City, died Dec. 7, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born Oct. 1, 1915, in Marion, a daughter of Willie and Sarah Colvin Harris. She was married Nov. 3, 1934, in California, to Arthur E. (Buck) Smith, who preceded her in death.
She graduated from Jefferson City High School in 1933. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one daughter, Margaret Petershagen, Jefferson City; one son, Ross Smith, Jefferson City; one sister, Ruby Stogsdill, Jefferson City; two brothers, Ralph Harris, Holts Summit, and James Theodore Harris, Fulton; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
One grandchild and one great-grandchild preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home. The Rev. Douglas Crader will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today.
Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
JONES
Nancy A. Jones, 69, Jefferson City, died, Dec. 9, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born May 9, 1932, in Hannibal, a daughter of Homer L. and Juanita C. Maddox Jones.
A lifelong resident of Jefferson City, she attended Jefferson City public schools.
She was employed at the Sheltered Workshop for several years until her retirement in 1988. She was a member of First Church of God and was a volunteer at Villa Marie Nursing Center.
Survivors include: one brother, Homer J. Jones Jr., Jefferson City.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Freeman Mortuary. The Rev. Gary Murrell will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to the First Church of God Building Fund, Villa Marie Nursing Center or the American Cancer Society.
BOWMAN
William O. Bowman, 77, Jefferson City, died, Dec. 8, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born Feb. 24, 1924, in Jefferson City, a son of Emory and Archie Brannon Bowman. He was married Sept. 5, 1953, at Harrison, Ark., to Virginia Russell Dreggors who survives at the home.
A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, he attended the Jefferson City public schools. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Roscoe Enloe Post 5.
Survivors include; three daughters, Scharley Weinzettel, Chattanooga, Tenn., Cathi Freet, Holts Summit, Marsha Muir, Jefferson City; one brother, Charles Bowman, Jefferson City; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
One son, Donald Dreggors, died Nov. 1, 200l.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Freeman Mortuary. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday

MULLINS
Steve Mullins, 4l, Jefferson City, died, Dec. 9, 2001.
Arrangements are incomplete at Kutis Funeral Home, Affton, Mo.
APPERSON
Cecil Apperson Jr., 72, Fulton, died Dec. 10, 2001, in Fulton.
He was born Jan. 26, 1929, in Eldon, a son of Cecil Sr. and Beulah Cantwell Apperson. He was married Jan. 20, 1956, at Lake Ozark, to Mavis Condo, who survives at the home.
An Eldon High School graduate, he was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He worked for 17 years at the Eldon post office. He worked for 15 years as a right-of-way agent for Coates Field Services.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Deborah Leps, New Bloomfield; one son, Daniel Apperson, Saginaw, Mich.; one brother, Darrell Lee "Happy" Apperson, Eldon; one sister, Shirley Fisher, Eldon; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. The Rev. Ernie Busher will officiate. Burial will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens, Barnett.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today.

PEARSON
Jack Albert Pearson 78, Tulsa, Okla., formerly of Jefferson City, died Dec. 11, 2001, at St. John's Hospital, Tulsa.
He was born May 17, 1923, in Joplin. He was married Aug. 9, 1980, to Edna Keena, who survives at the home.
He had lived in Nevada and was a 1941 graduate of Nevada High School. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He lived in Jefferson City from 1957 to 1968 and worked as legislative coordinator for the Missouri State Chamber of Commerce. He retired as executive vice president of Kansas Association of Commerce and Industry. He was a member of the 32nd degree Masonic Lodge 43, Jefferson City.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Ginger Banta, Stuart, Fla., and Pat Rainey, Sacramento, Calif.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Newton Burial Park. John Nichols will officiate.
Visitation will be Thursday evening and until 1:30 p.m. Friday at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
ALBERTIN
Mildred M. Albertin, 90, California, died Dec. 12, 2001, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 7, 1911, near Lohman, a daughter of Fred E. and Marie Henrietta Horak Linhardt. She was married Dec. 25, 1932, in California, to Ernst Albertin who died Jan. 20, 1994.
She was a homemaker, a cook for California R-I School, a housekeeper for California Care Center and a self employed seamstress.
She was a member of California United Church of Christ and Sunnyside Community Club.
Survivors include: one son, Larry Albertin, California; two daughters, Margaret Oesterly, California, and Carol Oerly, Wooldridge; one brother, Ralph Linhardt, Sedalia; seven grandchildren; one step grandson; four great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at California United Church of Christ. The Rev. Gary Schulte and the Rev. Judith Rhinehart-Nelson will officiate. Burial will be in Evangelical Cemetery, California.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California.
