BRUNS
Cecelia Bruns, 95, Jefferson City, died Dec. 12, 2001, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility.
She was born Sept. 14, 1906, in Taos, a daughter of Edward and Anna Stegeman Bernskoetter. She was married June 8, 1926, in Taos, to Otto Bruns, who preceded her in death.
She worked for International Shoe Company and was a housekeeper for various families in the Cole County area.
She also worked in the cafeteria at St. Marys Health Center. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Survivors include: two sons, Walter Bruns, Taos, and Robert Bruns, Bonnots Mill; 22 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and two step great-great-grandchildren.
Two daughters, Angeline Eiken and Anne Landers, one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church. The Most Rev. Michael F. McAuliffe will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors, Jefferson City, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Masses at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
COFFEY
Tom Coffey, 95, Vienna, died Dec. 12, 2001, at Maries Manor Care Center, Vienna.
He was born Feb. 13, 1906, in Vienna, a son of Hiram K. and Mary Ann Sally Evans Coffey.
He owned and operated Tom Coffey's Sway Hop in Vienna for 52 years, retiring in 1997.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Coffey Brothers Memorial American Legion Post 12, Vienna. He was a member of Vienna United Methodist Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Vienna United Methodist Church. The Rev. Karen Alden will officiate. Burial will be in Vienna Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna, and from 10-11 a.m. Friday in the church.
Memorials are suggested to the Vienna Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund.
GATHRIGHT
Opal B. Gathright, 88, Jefferson City, died Dec. 12, 2001, at Capital Healthcare Center.
She was born Dec. 6, 1913, in Callaway County, a daughter of Arthur and Betty Rossen Wyatt. She was married in June 1933 in Boonville, to Leon Gathright, who died Feb. 4, 1986.
She was a telephone operator and worked at Cheseborough Ponds as an inspector until her retirement in 1978.
She was a member of the Eastern Star and Dixie Community Club.
A former New Bloomfield resident, she was a member of the New Bloomfield Christian Church for more than 40 years.
She wrote articles about New Bloomfield for the Fulton Sun.
Survivors include: one son, William Gathright, Jefferson City; three daughters, Phyllis Chenoweth, Fulton, Judy Linsenbardt, Jefferson City, and Marilyn Thomas, Camdenton; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Maupin Funeral Home, Fulton. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens, Fulton.
Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Saturday.

MILLS
Services were today for Eileen Francis Mills, 78, Jefferson City, who died Dec. 11, 2001, at St. Josephs Home, Jefferson City.
She was born Jan. 23, 1923, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Jacob and Martha Wolf Seidel. She was married in 1954 to Harold Hunziker, who died in 1983. She was married in 1985 to Rollie Mills, who died in 1994.
She attended Kauffman School and Broadway School. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church, California.
A homemaker, she worked for Fausells Dry Cleaners. She worked for a doctor in Centertown, and for Humphries Hospital, Tuscumbia.
Survivors include: one brother, Lee W. Seidel, Lohman; and five grandchildren.
One son, Donald Hunziker, died July 9, 2001.
Services were at Weber and Sons Funeral Home, California. Rusty Thomas officiated. Burial was in Centertown Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Centertown Cemetery.
MUELLER
Emanuel Frederick Mueller, 84, Marthasville, died Dec. 11, 2001, at Cedar Crest Nursing Center, Washington .
He was born Jan. 19, 1917, in Wright City, a son of Henry and Margaret Witte Mueller. He was married Oct. 17, 1937, in Treloar, to Laura E. Hase, who survives in Marthasville.
He was a retired forklift driver for the Binkley Company, Warrenton. He also was a farmer. He was a member of Immanuel's United Church of Christ, Holstein.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Karen Roetemeyer, Marthasville, and Elaine Erhart and Faye Rinaldi, both of Jefferson City; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel's United Church of Christ. The Rev. Darryl Bockting will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

TRIM
James Ervin Trim, 93, Jefferson City, died Dec. 11, 2001, at his home.
He was born June 20, 1908, in Avery, Texas , a son of James W. and Ada Carson Trim. He was married Aug. 11, 1928, in Paris, Texas , to Alice Myrtle Gann, who survives at the home.
He graduated from high school in 1926 in Sherman, Texas . He farmed from 1928 to 1940 and was a railroad machinist from 1940 to 1973.
Other survivors include: four sons, Joe E. Trim, Dixon, Floyd Trim and Gary L. Trim, both of Jefferson City, and Lloyd Trim, Bay City, Texas ; one sister, Bertha Mae Moree, Paris, Texas ; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
One son, Harold Gene Trim, and two grandsons preceded him in death.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
NELSON
Sarah A. Nelson, 97, Versailles, died Dec. 12, 2001, at St. Joseph Hospital, Kansas City.
She was born Dec. 7, 1904, in Sioux City, Iowa, a daughter of William and Anna Eastman McManus. She was married April 7, 1923, to William A. Nelson, who died July 6, 1979.
A homemakers, she was a member of Versailles United Methodist Church. She was a member and past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 410, Versailles, the Morgan County Historical Society and the Garden Club.
Survivors include: one son, William Dale Nelson, Oswatomie, Kan.; two daughters, Louis Ann Forth, Versailles, and Janice Elaine Phillips, Belton; one brother, William J. McManus, Helendale, Calif.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Doris Comer, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Gailya Dow will officiate. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today, with Eastern Star services at 6 p.m.
