TUNNELL
Dorothy Jean Tunnell, 70, Climax Springs, died May 27, 1999, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.
She was born May 5, 1929, in Alexis, Ill., a daughter of M. George and Iva P. Patterson Kernes. Her mother survives in Woodhull, Ill. She was married Oct. 18, 1959, in DeWitt, Iowa, to Joe D. Tunnell, who survives at the home.
She lived in the Climax Springs community since 1991 and was a member of the Climax Springs Presbyterian Church. She was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star, Paola, Kan., and a member of the 7-13 Firebirds.
She is also survived by one brother, Gavin G. Kernes, Sierra Vista, Ariz.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Allee-Reed Funeral Home. Jerrie Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Allee Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday.

KAPPELMAN
Ronald E. Kappelman, 50, Jefferson City, died May 27, 1999, in an airplane crash near Jefferson City.
He was born June 26, 1948, in Paragould, Ark., a son of Louis E. and H. Louise Feldman Kappelman. He was married May 30, 1970, in Crocker, to Sharon K. Hamilton, who survives at the home.
A resident of Jefferson City for the past 29 years, he was a 1966 graduate of California High School. He received a bachelor's degree in education from Southwest Baptist College, Bolivar, in 1970 and a master's degree in education from Lincoln University in 1976.
He was a physical education teacher and coach in the Jefferson City public schools from 1970 until 1978. From 1978 until 1987, he was employed as an independent insurance agent, specializing in employee benefits. In 1987, he was a founding partner with the Wallstreet Insurance Group.
He was a member of Concord Baptist Church, the Jefferson City Life Underwriters Association, the National Association of Health Underwriters and the Life Underwriters Training Council.
He taught the Dale Carnegie courses for five years in the Jefferson City area.
Other survivors include: one son, Lance E. Kappelman, St. Louis; one sister, Stefani Stevens, Memphis, Tenn.; and his paternal grandmother, Aubra Dickinson, Marmaduke, Ark.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Concord Baptist Church. The Rev. Rudy Pulido will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Monday at Freeman Mortuary.

LINVILLE
Robert Edward Linville, 43, Jefferson City, died May 27, 1999, in an airplane crash near Jefferson City.
He was born Jan. 19, 1956, in Kansas City, a son of Edward J. and Mildred Hager Linville. His mother survives in Jefferson City. He was married Dec. 31, 1977, in Jefferson City, to Terry Lynn Hutinger, who survives at the home.
He graduated from Jefferson City High School in 1974, attended Lincoln University and served in the Marine Corps. He and Lee Wilbers co-founded Wallstreet Insurance Group in 1979. He was a member of the Life Line Pilots Association, a group of pilots that donate their time to fly critically ill patients at no cost to a place of treatment.
He coached football, basketball and baseball for 11 years, coaching all three of his sons. He was a certified scuba diver and instructor and a longtime member of the YMCA Board of Directors.
Other survivors include: three sons, Cain Robert Linville, Cole Robert Linville and Cord Robert Linville, all of the home; and three sisters, Margie Estill, Greers Ferry, Ark., Barbara Godi, Littleton, Colo., and Cathy Gabaldon, Jefferson City.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home. The Rev. Wendell Stoneburner and the Rev. E. Gene Rooney will officiate. Burial will be Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5:30-8:30 p.m. today.

MASSMAN
Judy Agnes Massman, 38, Westphalia, died May 27, 1999, in an airplane crash near Jefferson City.
She was born Oct. 21, 1960, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Raymond Sr. and Lidwina Mengwasser Brendel. Her mother survives in Holts Summit. She was married April 12, 1980, in Freeburg, to Daniel R. Massman, who survives at the home.
A 1978 graduate of Fatima High School, she was an account director with Wallstreet Insurance Group. She had worked as an administrative assistant at Johnson Controls.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia and the Annual Camping Club. She was the athletic director and track coach at St. Joseph School and was a Westphalia youth soccer coach.
Other survivors include: four sons, Adam Daniel Massman, Jacob Raymond Massman, Caleb Joseph Massman and Zachary Jon Massman, all of the home; one brother, James Brendel, Holts Summit; three sisters, Jackie Kuschel, Jefferson City, and Jo Ann Schuelen and Joyce Steinman, both of Westphalia; and her paternal grandmother, Anna Herzing Brendel.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Robert Kurwicki will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the church, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

VENTIMIGLIA
Bonnie J. Ventimiglia, 59, Rocky Mount, died May 29, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born March 7, 1940, in Steelville, a daughter of Clifford and Bessie Wilson Martin. She was married Aug. 27, 1956, in St. Louis, to James Ventimiglia, who survives at the home.
She owned and operated a beauty salon in St. Louis for a number of years before her retirement. She lived in Rocky Mount for the past 10 years.
She was a member of Camp Chapel Assembly of God in Rocky Mount.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Carla Ripp and Patricia Rowe, both of St. Louis; one brother, Kenneth Martin, Denver; one sister, Gail Anyan, St. Louis; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Mossman and Hess Funeral Chapel, Eldon. Paul Brewer will officiate. A second service will be held Tuesday in St. Louis. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Rocky Mount Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Monday.
VOSS
Teresa H. Voss, 76, Linn, died May 29, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born Oct. 20, 1922, in Rich Fountain, a daughter of John and Lena Hasenbeck Vaughan. She was married May 20, 1941, in Rich Fountain, to Michael J. Voss, who died June 20, 1959.
She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of the area. She attended Rich Fountain Sacred Heart School.
She was a member of St. George Church, Linn, the St. Ann's Sodality and the Western Catholic Union.
Survivors include: one son, Emil Ray Voss, Marshall; one daughter, Linda Samson, Jefferson City; one brother, Joe Vaughan, Jefferson City; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. George Church. The Rev. Paul Hartley and the Rev. Brendan Doyle will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
WOLFE
Tillie C. Wolfe, 93, Linn, died May 29, 1999, at Capital Region Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 11, 1905, in Osage County, a daughter of Dennis and Della Phelps Litton. She was married Jan. 22, 1924, in Linn, to James W. Wolfe Jr., who died Feb. 19, 1997.
A lifelong area resident, she was a homemaker and a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church in Judge.
Survivors include: two sons, James J. Wolfe, Linn, and Don Wolfe, St. Charles; three daughters, Juanita Branson, Hillsboro, and Dorothy Branson and Barbara Maasen, both of Linn; 19 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lucille Turner.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Solid Rock Baptist Church. The Rev. Perry Wolfe will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Morton Funeral Home, Linn.
