KLEBBA

Kathleen M. Klebba, 67, Linn, died Dec. 31, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.

She was born Feb. 10, 1934, in Chamois, a daughter of August and Myrtle Nichols Becklenberg. Her mother survives in Linn. She was married May 9, 1953, in Chamois, to Lewis F. "Joe" Klebba, who survives at the home.

A lifelong area resident, she graduated from Chamois High School. She was employed with the Missouri Department of Social Services for more than 20 years, retiring in 1997. She was a member of St. George Catholic Church, Linn.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Marilyn Wethington, Holts Summit, and Michele Klebba,  Jefferson City; one brother, Lawrence Becklenberg, Holts Summit; one sister, Rosella Rippstein, Chamois; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at noon Thursday at St. George Church. The Rev. Brendan Doyle will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at Morton Funeral Home, Linn.

Memorials are suggested to the St. George Activity Center or St. George Church.

BELL

Dorothy Caroline Bell, 90,  Jefferson City, died Dec. 31, 2001, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility.

She was born Feb. 3, 1911, in Lyons, Iowa, a daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Hellman Vorndam.

A graduate of Quincy High School, Quincy, Ill., she worked for F.W. Woolworth Company, Quincy, for 40 years. She had been a longtime member of St. James Lutheran Church, Quincy. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was a member of Ladies Circle 4.

Survivors include: two daughters, Judith Honig, Peoria, Ill., and Linda Hobratschk,  Jefferson City; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Houser-Millard Funeral Home. The Rev. Gerald Scheperle will officiate. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Green Mount Cemetery, Quincy.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday.

Memorials are suggested to the Heisinger Lutheran Home.

BOES

Ida E. Boes, 80, Linn, died Jan. 1, 2002, at Green Meadows Skilled Care Facility, Linn.

She was born Dec. 6, 1921, in Linn, a daughter of William and Christina Leven Brandt. She was married Feb. 6, 1943, in Camp Hood, Texas , to Herbert A. Boes, who died July 21, 1986.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. George Church, Linn.

Survivors include: two sons, Robert W. Boes and Thomas E. Boes, both of Linn; one brother, Willard Brandt, Linn; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. George Church. The Rev. Daniel I.J. Lueckenotte will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thrusday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn.

Memorials are suggested to St. George Church.

BROEKER

Harvey W. Broeker, 83, Linn, died Dec. 31, 2001, at the University of Missouri-Columbia Hospitals and Clinics.

He was born Nov. 2, 1918, in Pershing, a son of William and Elsie Broeker. He was married Aug. 22, 1940, to Mabel K. Langenberg, who preceded him in death.

He co-owned the Langenberg Store, Hope, from 1940 to 1961. He was manager of MFA, Morrison, for more than 17 years. He also worked for Milo H. Walz Company for 12 years. He retired in 1988.

He had attended Zion St. Peter E & R Church, Pershing. He was a member of Ebenezer Ryors U C of Christ Church, where he served on the church council and taught an adult Sunday School class for six years. He was a member of AARP and the Missouri Sheriff's Association.

Survivors include: two sons, James R. Broeker, Linn, and David T. Broeker,  Jefferson City; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn. The Rev. Robert Cantrell will officiate. Burial will be in Linn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.

Memorials are suggested to Ebenezer Ryors U C of Christ Church or a charity of the donor's choice.

DECKARD

Services were today for Minnie Ellen Prewett Deckard, 88, Dixon, who died Dec. 31, 2001, at St. Marys Health Center.

She was born Feb. 6, 1913, near Waynesville.

Survivors include: two sons, John Deckard, Dixon, and Gene Deckard, Centertown; one daughter, Shirley Humphrey, Dixon; two brothers, Virgil Prewett and Ford Prewett, both of Dixon; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services were at Long-Gilbert Funeral Home, Dixon. The Rev. Cliff Woodman officiated. Burial was in Pisgah Cemetery, Dixon.

GEIGER

Roy E. Geiger, 65, Tipton, died Jan. 1, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born Dec. 6, 1936, in Fontana, Kan., a son of Charles and Hazel Carter Geiger. He was married April 22, 1967, in Nowata, Okla., to Hazel Branch, who died May 28, 2001.

He was self-employed in tire sales and repair in Holts Summit, and was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. He lived in Holts Summit for 25 years before moving to Tipton in 1997.

Survivors include: one half brother, Louis Carter, Rantoul, Kan.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Meisenheimer-Griswold Funeral Home, Tipton. The Rev. Phillip Schipper will officiate. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Tipton.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.

HUNT

Services were today for Brian Michael Hunt, infant son of Brent Hunt and Amanda Kelly, Camdenton, who died Dec. 30, 2001, at his home.

He was born Nov. 12, 2001, in Osage Beach. His parents survive in Camdenton.

Other survivors include: maternal grandparents, Kevin and Debra Hurtubise, Eldon, and Buddy Kelly, Reno, Nev.; paternal grandparents, Gary and Vicky Hunt, Warrensburg; maternal great-grandparents, Dave and Judy Benne, Eldon, and Phil and Pat Hurtubise, Osage Beach; paternal great-grandparents, Lester and Lavina Hunt and Ethel Wyre, all of Warrensburg.

Graveside services were in Allee Memorial Gardens.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton.

KREMER

Peter H. Kremer, 79, Loose Creek, died Dec. 31, 2001, at Green Meadows Skilled Care Facility, Linn.

He was born Jan. 30, 1922, in Loose Creek, a son of Theodore and Josephine Scheulen Kremer. He was married Nov. 12, 1946, in Loose Creek, to Angeline T. Backes Kremer, who survives at the home.

He was a lifelong area resident and a farmer. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Loose Creek. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of VFW Post 4756.

Survivors include: four sons, Leonard Kremer, Arthur Kremer, and John Kremer, all of Loose Creek, and Maurice Kremer, Rich Fountain; three daughters, Martha Platt, Rich Fountain, and Mary Ann Oldelehr and Irene Muenks, both of Loose Creek; four sisters, Mary Rustemeyer, Pauline Rustemeyer, Josephine Backes and Anna Backes, all of Loose Creek; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Church. The Rev. Greg Meystrik will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the church, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., and from 1-3 p.m. Friday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Conception School or a charity of the donor's choice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Morton Funeral Home, Linn.

LUALLEN

Melvin J. Luallen, 48, Marion Kan., died Dec. 29, 2001, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kan.

He was born March 28, 1953, in Compton, Calif., a son of H.D. and Thelma Thorburn Luallen, who survive in Marion.

He graduated from Marion High School in 1972. He was an Army veteran and a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Russellville.

Other survivors include two brothers, Hubert Luallen, Hobbs, N.M., and Charlie Luallen, Orange, Calif., and one sister, Catherine Hunter, Marion.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Enloe Cemetery, Russellville. Sister Donna Eggering will officiate.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Weber and Sons Funeral Home, Russellville.

Memorials are suggested to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

LUETKEMEYER

Anton H. "Tony" Luetkemeyer, 86, St. Louis, died Dec. 29, 2001.

He was born Feb. 22, 1915, in Meta, a son of Henry and Regina Luetkemeyer. He was married Nov. 21, 1942, in Lakeland Fla., to Eileen S. Luetkemeyer, who died March 10, 2001.

Survivors include: three sons, Jim Luetkemeyer,  Jefferson City, Kenny Luetkemeyer, Eureka, and Larry Luetkemeyer, St. Louis; one daughter, Anne Gunderson, state of Alaska; two brothers, George Luetkemeyer, Chicago, and Jim Luetkemeyer, St. Louis; one sister, Margie Luebbert, Meta; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at St. Luke's The Evangelist Church, Richmond Heights. The body will be cremated by St. Louis Cremation.

There will be no visitation.

PILGER

Shirley L. Pilger, 56, Lake Saint Louis, died Dec. 28, 2001, at her home.

She was born May 4, 1945, in Hermann, a daughter of Charles and Genevieve Cramer Benson. She was married Jan. 5, 1999, in Christian County, to Robert Pilger who survives.

She was executive director for the State Board for Architects, Engineers & Land Surveyors for 19 years.

She was a member of the Church on the Rock, O'Fallon.

Survivors include: one daughter, Shannon Quesenberry, Sioux City, Iowa; one son, Shawn Holzhauser, Japan; three sisters, Deborah Schluss, Rhineland, and Shelly Seifert, and Christine Cramer, both of Morrison; foster parents, Bernell and Alice Benson, Morrison; and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. James United Church of Christ, Morrison. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery, Morrison.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Toedtmann and Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann.

Memorials are suggested to the cemetery.
