McNEVIN
Richard E. McNevin, 80, Climax Springs, died Jan. 2, 2002, at his home.
He was born Aug. 23, 1921, in Burkburnett, Texas , a son of Charles and Mae Renfrow McNevin.
He was a truck driver in retail sales for a dairy company. He was a member of the Temple Gate Lodge 299, Kansas City and the Abdallah Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, northeast Kansas. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include: one son, Richard McNevin, Overland Park, Kan.; two daughters, Sheryl McNevin, Mission, Kan., and Barbara McNevin, Albuquerque, N.M.; three brothers, Jack McNevin, West Plains, Tom McNevin, Jerome, Idaho, and Pat McNevin, Bloomington, Ind.; one sister, Veda Pauline, Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.; and three grandchildren.
One son, Robert McNevin, preceded him in death.
Masonic services by Linn Creek Masonic Lodge 152 will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hedges Funeral Home, Camdenton. Military honors will be by Zack Wheat American Legion Post 624, Sunrise Beach. Cremation will follow.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday.
PHILLIPS
Marvin H. Phillips, 59, Camdenton, died Jan. 3, 2002, at his home.
He was born Dec. 9, 1942, in Jefferson City, a son of Amos H. and Clara Belle Snyder Phillips.
He was a welder for Galva-Foam Marine Industries, Camdenton.
Survivors include: five daughters, Anita Phillips, Cleveland, Carolyn Phillips, Atlanta, Jill Phillips and Marci Phillips, both of Pittsburgh, and Aimee Phillips, Warsaw; one brother, Amos R. Phillips, Camdenton; four sisters, Clara A. Iliff, Camdenton, Jackqueline R. Kendall, Eldridge, N. Marcia Jimenez, Chicago, and MaDonna R. Leinbach, Montreal; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Cornerstone Church of Versailles. Pastor Dale Bentch will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie.
MILLER
Mary Jeannine Miller, 71, Jefferson City, died Jan. 4, 2002, at St. Joseph's Home for the Aged.
She was born April 24, 1930, in Washington , D.C., a daughter of Warren E. and Debbye Jean Wright Miller.
She attended private schools in Washington , D.C. She was a member of First Baptist Church. A homemaker, she lived in Washington , D.C. until she moved to Jefferson City in 1975.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Bobby Dailey will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Batesville, Ark.
Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army.
Arrangements are under the direction of Buescher Memorial Home.
GRESHAM
Mable M. Gresham, 95, Laurie, died Jan. 2, 2002, at Laurie Care Center.
Arrangements are incomplete at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie.
SHOEMAKER
Gladys L. Shoemaker, 100, Eldon, died Jan. 4, 2002, at Eldon Healthcare, Eldon.
She was born Nov. 29, 1901, in Enon, a daughter of Oliver and Samantha Farris Son. She was married Sept. 15, 1920, to Mack D. Shoemaker, who died May 22, 1987.
A homemaker, she co-owned and operated a campground in Colorado. She was a member of Clarksburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
One son, Paul Franklin Shoemaker, died March 28, 1987.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Enloe Cemetery, Russellville. The Rev. Hewitt Strobel will officiate.
Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Monday at Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Russellville.
Memorials are suggested to Enloe Cemetery.
NORMAN
Mildred Norman, 92, California, died Jan. 4, 2002, at California Care Center, California.
She was born May 7, 1909, in Augusta, a daughter of Benjamin and Amanda Kemp Norman. She was married in 1931, in Alton, Ill., to Benny Norman, who died December 1961.
She worked for Laclede Steel of Alton, Ill., for 32 years. She was a member of the Union Baptist Church, Alton.
Survivors include: one daughter, Ruth Johnson, California; one son, Roland Coleman, Alton; 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
One daughter and one grandson preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Weber and Sons Funeral Home, California. The Rev. Michael Jackman will officiate. Burial will be in the California City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Monday.

COOK
Leo F. Cook, 91, Rolla, died Jan. 4, 2002.
He was born April 3, 1910, in Newburg, a son of Ensie L. and Mary Ludina Dipple Cook. He was married to Addie Cook, who died in 1971. He was married to Mary M. Cook, who died in 2001.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include: one daughter, Jerry Walker, Jefferson City; two stepdaughters, Juanita C. Bramel, Rolla, and Rea Brown, Elk River, Minn.; two stepsons, William Bramel, Rolla, and George Bramel, Doolittle; two sisters, Rosalie Kinser, Ellisville, and Lillian Prewett, California; two brothers, Woodrow Cook, Doolittle, and Robert Cook, St. James; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Rolla. Burial will be in Roach Cemetery, Rolla.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. today at Kordes Funeral Home, Rolla, with a rosary service at 5:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to St. Pat's Church.
DOWD
Raymond H. Dowd, 73, Gravois Mills, died Dec. 28, 2001, at his home.
He was born Feb. 16, 1928, in Calmer, Iowa, a son of Glen F. and Edna V. Winnegar Dowd. He was married June 11, 1995, to Nancy L. Sheetz Reed, who survives at the home.
He was a retired machine and crane operator and attended the Opened Door Christian Fellowship, Laurie. He served in the Navy for 30 years. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 2591, Sedalia; the American Legion Zack Wheat Post 624, Sunrise Beach; the Military Order of the Cooties; and International Union of Operating Engineers.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Ginny L. Bobeen, Edwards; four stepsons, Ward Schaffer and Joel Schaffer, both of Renton, Wash., Keith Reed, Sunrise Beach, and Edward Reed, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; four stepdaughters, Sheila Grosvenor, Palm Bay, Fla., Margaret Reed and Michele Leverone, both of Cedar Rapids, and Mary Struve, Vinton, Iowa; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services with military honors will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the American Legion Zack Wheat Post 624, Sunrise Beach. The Rev. Jerry Piker will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to the American Legion Zack Wheat Post 624, Sunrise Beach, Mo. or the Missouri River Hospice.

HUNTER
Catherine Jane Luallen Hunter, 50, formerly of Russellville, died Jan. 4, 2002, at the Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kan.
She was born May 17, 1951, in Oakland, Calif., a daughter of H.D. and Thelma Thorburn Luallen. Her parents survive in Marion, Kan.
She graduated from Florence High School, Florence, Kan., in 1969.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Rebecca McGuffin, Norman, Okla.; two brothers, Hubert Luallen, Hobbs, N.M., and Charlie Luallen, Orange, Calif.; and one grandchild.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Enloe Cemetery, Russellville. Joy Weidl and Margaret Knaggs will officiate.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-noon Monday at Weber and Sons Funeral Home, Russellville.
Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
MADRON
Elmer C. Madron, 86, formerly of Linn, died Jan. 4, 2002, at Westphalia Retirement Center, Westphalia.
He was born Feb. 8, 1915, near Holdenville, Okla., a son of Jim and Lou Ellen Jones Madron. He was married May 21, 1965, to Mary Evelyn Hoover Fox, who survives at the home.
He worked as a cowboy on ranches near Hope, N.M., and as a truck driver. He was a member of the Solid Rock Baptist Church, near Linn.
Other survivors include: two sons, Cecil Madron, Carlsbad, N.M., and Jimmy Tillerson, Willis, Texas ; three daughters, Virginia Metscher, Jefferson City, Mary Wolfe, Lebanon, and Dorothy Shockley, Chamois; one brother, Jim Madron, Maryhill, N.M.; two sisters, Eula Robinson, Bryan, Texas , and Vera, state of Oklahoma; 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
One son, Tommy Tillerson, and one grandson preceded him in death.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Solid Rock Baptist Church, near Linn. The Rev. Perry Wolfe will officiate. Burial will be in Solid Rock Cemetery, near Linn.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-noon Tuesday at the church and all day Monday at Holman-Howe Funeral Home.
