HARRISON

Jimmy "Jim" Harrison, 43, Iberia, died Jan. 13, 2001, at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics, Columbia, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born Jan. 16, 1958, in Waynesville, a son of Donald W. and Barbara Inez Moneymaker Harrison. His parents survive in Iberia. He was married May 10, 1986, in Iberia, to Rhonda Gillotte, who survives at the home.

He was a member of Local Union 1265 in Waynesville.

Other survivors include: three sons, Travis Harrison and Trent Harrison, both of Crocker, and Chad Burnett, Iberia; one daughter, Holly Harrison, Crocker; two brothers, Mike Harrison, Fairland, Okla., and David Harrison, Iberia; one sister, Lisa Downing, Brumley; and maternal grandmother, Virginia Moneymaker, Brumley.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. Bro. Marvin Witt will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Union Cemetery, near Brumley.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.

KIMBERLING

Roma Dea Kimberling, 87,  Jefferson City, died Jan. 11, 2002, at Capital Healthcare Center.

She was born Aug. 2, 1914, in Hannibal, to Roscoe and Ella Vaught Binns. She was married May 20, 1949, to Byron Kimberling, who survives.

She graduated from Hannibal High School in 1934. She sang for the Joe Williams orchestra and directed plays for the Empire Production Company. She owned and operated a furniture store in Sullivan for 12 years before moving to  Jefferson City. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Hannibal and later a member of the New Bloomfield Christian Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Grand View Funeral Home, Hannibal. The Rev. Roger Obermeier will officiate. Burial will be in Grand View Burial Park.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday.

Memorials are suggested to the New Bloomfield Christian Church.

KETTERLIN

Dorothy May Ketterlin, 85, Tipton, died Jan. 13, 2002, at Moniteau Care Center.

She was born May 30, 1916, in Moniteau County, a daughter of Joseph and Bonnie Fisher Gish. She was married Sept. 1, 1938, to Francis Ketterlin, who died Aug. 29, 1982.

She lived for many years in Edwardsville, Ill., where she was a member of the Edwardsville Christian Church. She moved to Tipton in 1965 and worked in the office of the Tipton Pants Factory until her retirement. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Tipton. She was active in the Moniteau County Historical Society, and the Tipton Nutrition Center.

Survivors include: two sons, Bob Ketterlin, Maryville, Tenn., Bill Ketterlin, Armstrong; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Meisenheimer-Griswold Funeral Home, Tipton. The Rev. Don Schutte will officiate. Burial will be in Moreau Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Memorials are suggested to Tipton Assembly of God Church.

NORFLEET

Lionell "Larry" Norfleet, 67, formerly of  Jefferson City, died Jan. 14, 2002, at Cox South Hospital, Springfield.

He was born July 13, 1934, in Eugene, a son of Walter C. and Eunice E. Neal Norfleet.

He was a 1952 graduate of Eugene High School and graduated from  Jefferson City Junior College in 1954. He worked at the Missouri State Highway Department from 1954-1971, Accredited Hospital and Life Insurance Company from 1971-1978, and the Missouri State Department of Conservation from 1978 until his retirement in 1990.

He served in the United States Army Reserves from 1954-1962. He was a member of the Dale Street Methodist Church, Springfield, and the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include: two sons; Eric Norfleet and Matthew Norfleet, both of St. Louis; three daughters, Elaine Woodson, Springfield, Diana Sitler, Peculiar, and Nancy McDowell,  Jefferson City; one brother, Donald S. Norfleet,  Jefferson City; and six grandchildren.

One daughter, Suzanne Renee Norfleet, died in 1960.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors,  Jefferson City. Msgr. Michael Wilbers will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Garden Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday.

Memorials are suggested to Spring Garden Cemetery Fund or the American Heart Association.

PARKER

Alta Irene Malone Parker, 77, Dixon, died Jan. 13, 2001, at Beverly Health Care,  Jefferson City.

She was born Nov. 18, 1924, in Newburg, a daughter of Robert M. and Anna Irene Wilson Malone. She was married Feb. 26, 1948, in Piggott, Ark., to Ray Parker, who survives.

She served in the Women's Army Corps during World War II. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Dixon.

Other survivors include: three daughters, Alta Maureen Rollins, Dixon, Patricia Ann Parish, Bolivar, and Susan Carol Brownfield,  Jefferson City; four sisters, Reba Wells, Crocker, Molly Smith, Overland, Linda Roberson, Dixon, and Charlotte Morgan, Waynesville; two brothers, Bob Malone,  Jefferson City, and Jim Malone, Dixon; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Dixon. Pastor John Parker will officiate. The remains were cremated. Inurnment will be at Kenner Cemetery, near Dixon.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to the Dixon First Baptist Church, the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.

Arrangements are by Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach.

SCHMITZ

Odelia E. Schmitz, 84, Argyle, died Jan. 13, 2002, at Maries Manor Health Care Center, Vienna.

She was born March 29, 1917, in Argyle, a daughter of William and Gertrude Bathe Schmitz.

She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Argyle.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. The Rev. Mike Murphy will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. and a rosary at 7:30 p.m., and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, both at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.

Memorials are suggested to St. Aloysius Cemetery or the American Cancer Society.

TOLL

Ruth Parker Toll, 94, Laurie, died Jan. 13, 2002, in Laurie.

She was born Aug. 18, 1907, in Barbourville, Ky., a daughter of Abraham L. and Harriet Teague Parker. She was married June 1, 1932, to Mark Irving Toll, who preceded her in death.

She was a teacher for nine years in Kentucky and 25 years in Kansas City until her retirement in 1973. She taught airplane mechanics during World War II to soldiers.

She was a member of the Eastern Star of Barbourville; the Rebeccah Lodge of Shell Rock, Iowa; the Dr. Thomas Walker Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, Barbourville; and the Budd Park Christian Church of Kansas City.

Survivors include: one son, Perry Mark Toll, Prairie Village, Kan.; two stepsisters, Susie Ana Parker, Barbourville, and Dulcie Brassfield, Elizabethtown, Ky.; two granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Laurie. The Rev. James Lawley will officiate. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Oak Hill Cemetery, New Hartford, Iowa.

Memorials are suggested to Children's Mercy Hospital, Kansas City.

WILLIS

Ed "Jack" Willis, 55, Holts Summit, died Jan. 14, 2002, at St. Marys Health Center.

He was born April 20, 1946, near Barnett, a son of John and Roxie Hayes Willis. He was married July 12, 1964, in Kansas City, to Joyce Hedrick, who survives at the home.

He grew up near Versailles and attended Versailles High School. He was a restaurant cook and was self employed in construction. He also worked with Mike Enloe Construction, Russellville.

Survivors include: two sons, Lee Willis, Eldon, and Donnie Willis, Holts Summit; three daughters, Janet Duncan and Julie Willis, both of Holts Summit, and Angie Gross, Centertown; five brothers, Wayne Willis and Wesley Willis, both of Barnett, Jim Willis, Cameron, Bob Willis, Maryland Heights, and John Willis, Warsaw; four sisters, Maxine Dick, Farmington, Violet Simmons, Hughesville, Celia Jordan, Long Beach, Calif., and Beth Jenkins, Russellville; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

One son, Paul Lamoine Willis, and one daughter, Joy Lynn Willis, preceded him in death.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the New Life Assembly of God Church, Barnett. The Rev. Kenneth Wagner will officiate. Burial will be in the Big Rock Cemetery, Barnett.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, Russellville.

Memorials are suggested to the Ed Willis Memorial Fund.

BUTLER

Alice M. Butler, 59, Rolla, died Jan. 14, 2002, at University of Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics.

Arrangements are incomplete at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia.

BRUNS

Joseph Henry Bruns, 88,  Jefferson City, died Jan. 14, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.

He was born June 21, 1913, in  Jefferson City, a son of Anthony J. and Cecelia Kuehn Bruns. He was married Nov. 14, 1940, in  Jefferson City, to Katharine Tate Keenan, who died July 31, 1975. He was married Aug. 1, 1976, in Brookfield, to Jacqueline Davis Prenger, who died in 1977. He was married June 21, 1978, in Bonnots Mill, to Lillian Kuper Scott, who died July 1, 2000.

He owned and operated the IGA Foodliner North in Marshall from 1953-1969. He was then a meat inspector with the United States Department of Agriculture from 1969-1978. A graduate of  Jefferson City High School, he attended Lincoln University.

He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Marshall; Knights of Columbus; Legion of Mary; Marshall Chamber of Commerce; was a former Boy Scout leader; was active in the Democratic Party in Saline County; and was active in senior citizen work with Hamilton Towers.

Survivors include: five daughters, Mary Kay Ryan,  Jefferson City, Delores A. "Dodie" Truemper, St. Louis, Barbara E. Criswell, Marshall, Terri Deer, Warrensburg, and Laurie J. Wenzel, Warrenton; two sons, Joseph K. "Jody" Bruns, St. Louis; and Dennis A. Bruns, Camdenton; 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

One great-grandson preceded him in death.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cathedral of St. Joseph. The Rev. David G. Buescher will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 8 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the Samaritan Center, or to the American Diabetes Association.
