WRIGHT

Joseph Allen Wright, 54, Montreal, died Jan. 17, 2002, at his home.

He was born Nov. 18, 1947, in Richland, a son of James E. and Sybil Allee Wright.

He was a lifelong resident of the Montreal and Camden County areas. He worked as a welder and an auto mechanic. He was a member of the Camdenton Church of Christ.

Survivors include: one son, Tracy Wright, Waynesville; two daughters, Teresa Hendricks, Montreal, and Monica Wright, Lebanon; two brothers, Jerry Wright, Linn Creek, and Jess Wright, Montreal; 10 sisters, Imogene David, Camdenton, Irene Taylor, Dover, Tenn., Patsy Moore, Richland, Pansy Miller, Ozark, Lilly Hess, St. Louis, Corene Gilliam, Brumley, Florene Hall, Linn Creek, Darlene Nuttle,  Jefferson City, Twyla Reaves, Stoutland, and Lyla Robinett, Brumley.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. Randy Gray will officiate. Burial will be in Montreal Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 8-10 a.m. Saturday.

JOHNSON

Joan Darline Johnson, 67, Stover, died Jan. 17, 2002, in Versailles.

She was born March 6, 1934, in Stover, a daughter of John and Anna Albers Schnirch. She was married May 17, 1952, to Henry Cortez Johnson Jr., who survives at the home.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Faith Lutheran Church, Stover.

Survivors include: two daughters, Linda Jo Miller and Jennie Sue Ellis, both of Versailles; three brothers, Victor Schnirch, Versailles, Raymond Schnirch, Kansas City, Kan., and Norman Schnirch, Kirksville; four sisters, Irene Hodges, Arlington, Texas , Mary Johnson, Stover, Betty James and Helen Long Versailles, both of Versailles; and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Tom Voth will officiate. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Royal Theater Arts Council.

ZELSMAN

Leida F. Zelsman, 86, Versailles, died Jan. 17, 2002, at Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. The Rev. Gailya Dow will officiate.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday.

CRANE

Clarice Lorene Crane, 87, Iberia, died Jan. 17, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 10, 1914, in Kansas City, a daughter of George and Clara Cooper Thompson. She was married Jan. 20, 1986, in Dixon, to Elmer Crane, who died June 12, 1993.

She worked for Safeway Grocery in Kansas City for 27 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Argyle VFW Post 8045 Ladies Auxiliary and the Iberia American Legion Post 105 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the Iberia First Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include: one sister, Mildred Ahrend, Butler; five step-children, all of Granite City, Ill.; eight grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Two sons, John Eisenhower and William Eisenhower, preceded her in death.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. Doug Wheeler will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Union Cemetery, near Brumley.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday.

PRENGER

Edna Adelaide Prenger, 87, Westphalia, died Jan. 18, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 2, 1914, in Taos, a daughter of Albert H. and Caroline Christine Forck Prenger.

She attended school in Taos and the St. Louis School of Practical Nursing. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the St. Ann's Sodality and the Immaculata Club.

She worked at St. Marys Hospital as an LPN. She worked as a nurse and x-ray technician at the Internal Medical Consultants for 33 years until her retirement in 1983.

Survivors include: one brother, Leo R. Prenger, Macon; and three sisters, Martha A. Prenger, Westphalia, Rita P. Wolfe,  Jefferson City, and Meg Verslues, Taos.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. Timothy Tatro will officiate. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery, Taos.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Buescher Memorial Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to the Vitae Society of  Jefferson City.

BIVEN

Alma Rowena Biven, 93,  Jefferson City, died Jan. 19, 2002, at Oak Tree Villas.

She was born Aug. 30, 1908, in Speed, a daughter of Frederick H. and Ida Ellen Worts Muntzel. She was married Aug. 10, 1931, in Columbia, to James S. Biven, who died May 27, 1965.

She was a graduate of Boonville High School, Boonville. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Amistosa Sunday school class and the American Association of Retired Persons.

A homemaker, she worked for the Missouri State Division of Employment Security for 33 years until retiring in 1974.

Survivors include: one daughter, Dorothy M. Hampton, Trimble; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Buescher Memorial Home. The Rev. Kyle Hern will officiate. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Monday.

Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church.

GOELLER

Agnes Mary Goeller, 91, Hartsburg, died Jan. 18, 2002, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility.

She was born Jan. 3, 1911, in Loose Creek, a daughter of George P. and Mary Agnes Jansen Jaegers. She was married Feb. 12, 1929, in  Jefferson City, to Henry Goeller, who died Aug. 1, 1964.

She was a graduate of Loose Creek High School and was employed with Oberman Manufacturing Company. She was a nurse's aid at St. Marys Health Center for 14 years.

She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and the Ladies Sodality.

Survivors include: one daughter, Norma Jean Davidson, Hartsburg; two sisters, Barbara Ortballs and Bernadine Goedde, both of St. Louis; two brothers, Al Jaegers, state of Alabama, and Tony Jaegers, St. Louis; two grandsons and six great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Dorothy Calvin, and a granddaughter preceded her in death.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Peter Catholic Church. The Rev. Ben Luedtke will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to St. Peter Church Building Fund or a charity of the donor's choice.

KINGSNORTH

Neil George Kingsnorth, 94, California, died Jan. 18, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center.

He was born July 28, 1907, in Grand Rapids, Mich., a son of John B. and Mary Fortuin Kingsnorth. He was married Jan. 14, 1939, in Park Ridge, Ill., to Louise Harlow Thompson, who died Nov. 25, 1993.

He graduated from high school in Rock Island, Ill., and the University of Illinois in 1930 with a bachelor of science in engineering. He attended the University of Chicago. He served in the Army Corps of Engineers as a surveyor, and the Army, where he earned a Bronze Star.

He worked for the Dixie Cup Company as a second shift operator and vice president of manufacturing. He later became vice president of the Milk Container Division of American Can Company until his retirement in 1966.

He was a member of the Connecticut's Naugatuck Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited; the Mid-Missouri Chapter of Trout Unlimited; the Chicago Yacht Club; the Union League Club; the American Red Cross; Boys Club; Community Chest; and the American Legion. He served as president of the Chamber of Commerce; on the board of curators at Stephens College; as chairman of the Connecticut Council of Trout Unlimited; and on the board of Naugatuck River Watershed Association. He was listed in Marquis Who's Who in America.

Survivors include: one daughter, Susan Rouse, California; one son, Robert Kingsnorth, Monrovia, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Private services will be at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home, California.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Association, c/o Judy Allee, P.O. Box 333, Latham, Mo. 65050.

LANGE

Raymond C. Lange, 88,  Jefferson City, died Jan. 18, 2002, at Friendship House Hospice.

He was born May 7, 1913, in Crystal Lake, Ill., a son of William and Martha Schroeder Lange. He was married June 1, 1940, to Edna Rottschalk, who died Jan. 5, 1993.

He attended Lutheran Parochial School and graduated from high school in 1931. He worked as a meat cutter for 45 years and owned Crystal Lake Locker Service. He worked for I.G.A. in California until his retirement.

He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church,  Jefferson City, and was a former member of Grace Lutheran Church, Versailles, and St. Paul Lutheran Church, California.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Lutheran Church,  Jefferson City, and at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church, Versailles. Pastor Tony Alter and Pastor Alvin Lange will officiate. Burial will be in Versailles Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Lutheran Church and from 12:30-1 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church.

Memorials are suggested to Faith Lutheran Church,  Jefferson City, Mo.

Arrangements are under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles.
